Yab (A new word I just made up, it's short for Yay Beagle) well done for keeping the two lbs off, hopefully some more will follow very soon!:D

Bah, I bet the ticker website is broken :( Hopefully it'll be back up again soon.

So today I did not have a good experience with food. After my workout (which I'll get to in a moment), I wanted something with a lot of protien so I went to get a wrap with some good meat in it. This one wrap place I've never been disappointed by, but today I was. I saw one listed as "beef strips with our tangy steak sauce and veggies" and I figure it sounds pretty good. So while their making it, first they don't ask what kind of tortilla I want, they just give me white (I wanted whole wheat), and then they proceed to stuff it full of *rice* and veggies, and their 'tangy steak sauce' was BBQ sauce - and tons of it! Okay, BBQ is a steak sauce, but when I read 'steak sauce' I expected something completely else since most places that advertise steak sauce have a creamy white sauce that I'm never sure what's in it, but its good! I don't even like BBQ sauce when its used properly, let alone drowning all the meat and useless carby rice so it just tastes like chewy BBQ sauce:(

So there I was with this gross-tasting, sugar-and-carb-filled wrap, but I was really hungry and tried to eat it anyways... after about five bites, I just gave up and threw it out and spent more money to get a protein shake at Booster Juice.

Anyways, back to the workout part - I had a great workout today AND last night! Last night, Josh tried to push me really hard and our goal was to do 60 minutes on "interval 2" (2 mins/4 mins cycles) and to have the 4 mins intervals at least at a jog the whole time. I didn't make the goal, and could only do 40 minutes of it, but it was still a lot harder than I've ever gone! Plus we walked home after, which was another 15 minutes of movement.

Today's workout was of my own accord, so I went to finally get started on the weight machines. After taking about 10 minutes or so to acquaint myself with them, I did about 15-20 minutes weight training on different machines (including chest presses, assisted chin-ups, resistance crunches, and leg presses just off the top of my head), then I was pretty muscle-fatigued so I speed-walked for about 20 minutes, and went back to the machines after for another 10-15 minutes before calling it quits. I mostly was focussing on my shoulders and upper arms since I think that's where I need the most work - and I defintely did a lot of work! I can feel the burn still in those areas, and I just hope I can lift my backpack tomorrow :p

In other news, last night, I was pressing on my tummy (not sure why, really, just seemed like a thing to do), and was met with... RESISTANCE! As far as I can tell, under about 1 or 2 inches of fat I'm actually developing real ab muscles! Which reminds me, I best go do my situps :D

Beagle when is your wedding again? It sounds like you're going to be one amazing looking bride. That's awesome to hear that you're developing abs. You really are pushing yourself and I expect it'll be very much worth it in the end.

really? cool! Lemme feel! *starts poking Beagle's tummy repeatedly*

:D

You're turning into a our little muscle girl!!!! Great job!! And as for the wrap, I think you did the right thing...you ate a few bites and then threw it away because it wasn't really what you wanted or needed. How many times in the past would we have eaten the whole thing just because we didn't want to waste the money. Now we've learned to put the value on our weight first.

Hope you have a superb weekend!!!

Cannon: Well, the wedding WAS going to be late summer 07... but well, we decided to hell with it all, and we're probably eloping later this summer (ssh! Don't tell anyone!)

Initial C: hee hee! That tickles, careful where you're poking, girly! :D

Scarlett: its true, I was pretty mad at having wasted money, but it was more worth it to spend $5 more and get something healthy. As for being a muscle-girl, I hope so! I mean, I don't want to get RIPPED, but personally, I find a well toned athletic girl to be MUCH more attractive that a scrawny meatless waif.

Other news: I missed breakfast today, but I stopped in at the convenience store and picked up a bag of beef jerky, which I didn't realize was so good! For every 25g (and the bag holds 80g) there's like 80 calories, 2g of fat, and 8g of carbs - and it tastes great! I could probably munch on the bag all day and even skip lunch too, but I won't - I'll go grab something healthy and filling on my lunch break :)

wow. I didn't realize beef jerky was that good either. maybe I need to try some now. ^__^

Gah I hear your pain regarding workout hangovers (new term I just invented), I had a cardio and leg day yesterday and now my thighs are quite sore heh! If only I could find a nice Orlando Bloom look-alike to rub some oil into them. Escuse me while i wipe the saliva from the keyboard.

OMG this week has been mental, sorry for skipping a few days of check-ins. I had a paper to write on top of my other regular daily tasks. Also, today, I spent about 2 hours doing MASSIVE cleanup in my little "basement bachelor pad" :p I never realized how much GARBAGE I keep! Most of it was just notes and handouts from semesters past, but I found a considerable amount of wrappers and bottles that fell behind and under things too - yuck!

Anyways, here's a rough estimate of food so far... I'll fill in "accurate" numbers later tonight hopefully.
- bowl of honey nut cheerios: 400
- few slices of cheese: 100
- orange: 100
- salad and chicken breast: 500
Running Total: 1100 calories.

ooooh, doesn't it feel sooo good to declutter!!! Good for you. Hope you are having a great week, even as busy as it's been! LOL!

i hope you handed that paper in time! :)
i love decluttering and tidying. it's so... well, refreshing. It's like unloading garbage off of yourself. and suddenly the entire place gets a whole sense of freshness doesn't it? :)

I got even more stuff cleaned up yesterday... I feel like I'm living like a monk now, I packed up all of my wall hangings and decorative knick-knacks as pre-emptive packing for hopefully moving in with Josh in the next couple of months.

Also, today I discovered an entirely new awkward sensation: underwear falling off my butt, under my pants, while I walk around. I got no panty-belt to prevent this, and can't exactly reach down and pull them up while I'm at work. I may have to duct dape my underoos to my hips to keep them up!

hehe looks like a trip to the underwear store is on the cards. My mum recently gave me a packet of pants she bought for herself but didn't think she'd fit into so I got some good pants for free!

P.S. She hadn't worn the pants or anything!
