Beagle's No Lie Zone

Good job cardio queen! I wish I could do it, I just get SOOOOOOO bored doing cardio that I put it off forever and then it's past my bedtime, so, oops, I forgot! Give me some of that motivation! Resistance training is fun for me since I love muscles (especially mine :D ), but I fall into a cardio rut so easily that I lose focus. How on earth do you do it?

Here's my secret: All the cardio machines at Gold's have TV's on them! So I just find something good on and go :D I do the same when I'm at home doing cardio. Just make sure I'm watching something interesting, and the time (usually) goes much faster. I've had lots of times when there is just nothing good on, and I end up getting so bored I quit before my halfway mark even.

Bailey, congrats on the loss!! You didn't just catch me, Hun, you went by me!!! LOL Man, now I have to kick even harder!!! LOL Thanks :D :D (No, I really mean it!! LOL)

Today's/Yesterday's (its 3am) food:
- tuna w/fat free mayo, pepper and green onion: 200
- low-fat carrot muffin (with a little cream cheese on top) - 300
- fruit plate (pineapples, melons, blueberries, strawberries) - 150
- about 2.5 cups pasta with meat sauce - 700
Total: 1350

Exercise:
about to do some situps, I'll edit this in a minute.

Got a paper handed in for my university class, and got the final assignment, a take home essay-style exam (three questions that I have to answer fully - maximum total length 8 pages, so about 2-3 pages per question). In my driving class, among many very boring things, we got to watch some Australian PSAs about driving safety - they were so graphic, and some of them were really sad too! Very well done scare tactics (which is somewhat called for considering the repercussions of controlling a tonne of speeding metal). Then we watched some Canadian ones which weren't nearly as graphic, but still got the point across.

I totally understand where you are coming from. If I didn't have my Netflix subscription (where you order movies on line and they get delivered right to your house) I never would be able to put in as much time on the treadmill. But when I'm watching a movie time just flies by. It has helped me so much!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that has to be entertained while I exercise else boredom sets in :D

Hi Beagle. You're doing great! I'm so proud of you. Between school and work and excercise you do an amazing job!! I have 2 questions for you.
1. what exactly goes into a Greek Salad? I'm trying to increase my veggie intake.
2. I know I've seen some of your drawings. I was wondering, can you do copies from photographs? I have a photo of my daughter that I've always wanted to have a sketch type (charcoal type) of. Let me know. Maybe we can work something out.

April I sent you an email! As far as the greek salad is concerned, it has green, yellow and red peppers (or just one or two kinds), purple/red onions, and cucumbers. Then you crumble feta cheese in to your tasted (I love it so I put tons in), and either get a greek salad dressing, or just some olive oil and a *little bit* of red vinegar. Voila! Or at least, that's how I think you make it... I lost the peice of paper that Josh's mom wrote her recipe down on.

UH-OH!! MissJellyBelly better cover her mouth, or she's gonna choke on my DUST! My lovely scale says I'm down to 180 this morning ;)

Hehe, I'm just poking fun, not trying to be mean or anything :)

You're right, crunchie. She's only got 10 to her mini goal and 30 to her final goal. That is INCREDIBLE!!!! Beagle is kicking some butt over here!!!!!

*cough, choke, puke* I just did, I don't know about MissJ!! hehehehehe :p LOL Great job Bailey :D Proud of ya! :D

Good job Beagle! Just think about the smile that'll be plastered on your face when it says 179. I love it when I hit something that ends in 9, it seems like such a momentous occasion. Unless, of course, I've gained weight to get there... that one's not fun. Just the one direction then, OK? I can do cardio if I watch a movie or something, but I workout at home and the exercise bike is the only thing in the living room. My other equipment is in the basement, and my iPod just doesn't cut it for long-term cardio. I need distraction!!! I did jog today though, so I'm toughing it out. Thanks for the threats ;) they're helping.

Beagle rocks!

I am not sure how today went. It started pretty well with some toast (150) and a little bit of left over macaroni and beef sauce (400). So before dinner I was at 550 calories and had about 700 to go, max.

Then I went to my best friends bridal shower. I have no idea how many calories I ate; it was all finger foods. A few chocolate-dipped strawberries, and tiny cakes, tortilla chips, salsa... ugh, I just don't know.

I did workout after - half an hour of regular walking (in the RAIN!), and half an hour of eliptical-ing.

I'll have to be extra good tomorrow just to be safe. I only have 22 days to lose 10 pounds, or as close to it as I can!

Focus, Beagle. One party won't kill you, I'm living proof of that. Don't let it affect your momentum in the right direction though. We CAN do this.

Hi there lass just popping in to say hello!:D

Don't worry about the one party slip up, we all have them from time to time and I expect if we didn't we'd go slightly mad. In saying that I'm going to a party tomorrow I will try to be good but don't think I'll be able to resist my favourite crisps ARG!

Hey don't worry about it...in order to gain a pound of fat you would have had to eat 3500 calories in excess at that party. And that is virtually impossible. So if the scale shows any increase you're probably just holding water from the increased sodium in the party food.

How's that for a logical explanation?

I've got a million of them and I'll be here all week....ba dum bump.

Scarlett, I like the way you think! Just to be safe, I weighed myself thise morning... still holding at 180 *whew* Still, if I can, I want to get one more pound off before monday morning! I haven't had much time to exercise since I'm working on my final paper that's due monday afternoon. I just can't darn focus!! I've been at my computer for like 3 hours now, and have only gotten 3 pages of 8 written >< Its not even that hard, I just have to recite back what I've learned and reference a couple of in class readings!

Except for the last part, where I have to rent and watch a movie that we didn't watch in class, and analyze it. Thankfully I found it on a bit torrent site, so I don't have to pay for a movie I don't even want to watch ;) Hopefully it should finish downloading in a couple of hours, so I'll have to write the rest of it before then.

At least I'm not hungry. I had a pretty big breakfast to make sure I didn't have an excuse to wander into the kitchen (3 scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 slices toast). I am not going to detail yesterday's food, because I know it wasn't spectacular, and I don't think I could even remember most of it. I basically just nibbled and snacked the whole day without a proper meal, and didn't even bother counting calories. I don't think it was super bad or anything, but if I list it off, I'll forget at least a few things, and what's the point of that then?

Sorry I won't have much time to hit journals again today girls! Once I'm done this paper, I am pretty much fancy-free until my july classes start, so I'll have no excuse to slack off then ;)

Did you get your paper done okay? I just know this is the week you will break into the 70's!!!!!! Keep it up.

Watch that slippery slope of not writing things down Miss Beagle. I'm being the food journal police today in case you were wondering. :p I know you're busy right now, and that IS a valid excuse, but as soon as that paper is in, be aware & even if you can't remember it all, tell us what you can remember, and then if you remember something else later, put it in later. The point is to keep it all out in the open. It helps us all correct behavior that has not been good for us in the past. I'm totally not lecturing you here, I'm just trying to ensure that when your schedule calms down you're still on the right track. Take care of yourself! I can't wait 'til you can make the 170s announcement!:D
