Beagle's No Lie Zone

Beagle, I'm an expert on credit card debt. in 18 months I went from $35,000 in debt to about $11,000. I stopped using it and starting budgeting with envelopes--getting food under control takes much more willpower for me.

Hey Beagle, it CAN be expensive to eat right. Especially if you're not on the raw food diet. Common fruits & veggies are pretty cheap, but we pay for convenience and for variety, and that's where it really starts to sting. If I could just eat apples and broccoli all the time (which I do, nearly every day) then I think I could afford this lifestyle! The problem is I don't like to eat the same food twice in a day, and I like really expensive things like arugula, vine-ripened mini tomatoes, berries, mangoes and pineapple. Well, I suppose if I'm spending more on healthy foods I can be guilted into not eating fast food junk.

Hope you have a great week!

Hey girlfriend i miss ya email or message me sometimes! Hope your doing great i am proud of you cause you have hung it there and not gave up!

Cannon: Wow, I'm so glad I haven't let it get that bad yet! Though when you only get a little bit of money, a little bit of debt seems a lot worse.

Missprincess: Hopefully I'll be able to get anything on my own soon; in the meantime, I do munch down a lot on the fruit my mom buys at the grocery store, but so does everyone else in the house so it doesn't last long! By the time half the week's gone by, all that's left is canned pasta, and equally unhealthy stuff full of preservatives and such. Only one more year until I move out...

redneckwoman: Thanks for believing in me, and keeping tabs :) I'll definitely send you a message to let you know I am still here!

yesterday:
- teriyaki chicken bowl (about 2 cups of rice, chicken meat, and veggies, with teriyaki sauce over all of it - I only ate half the rice after the meat and veggies)
- stroganoff hamburger helper with some sour cream (2 servings :()

- 30 mins on the eliptical
- at least 3L of water

wow. THREE liters of water? O_O!!!
I'd be lucky if I can down 2 liters. o__o;;

don't worry about the extra helping of the hamburger helper.
just do an extra 15 min on the eliptical in ur next workout. :)

Hi Beagle, just seeing what you have to been up to this week. You keep hanging in there...those 70's are right around the corner!!!

Beag!!! I've missed you! Come over here and let me give you a big hug too! I am also so proud to see you still on track. We are so close to the 170s!! I can't wait to see 179.

I've been so disorganized with finals, then graduation, then moving. I'm trying my best today to eat good and then tomorrow Im going to hit the gym. Our race is still on!!! Thanks for checking on me while I was MIA.

Miss you!

MISSING!!

Name: Beagle

Description: A furry cat that wears a pirate hat and an eye patch on the right eye

If found, please bring back to this forum. ;)

Initial C, good idea. I think we should offer a reward...how about an automatic overnight five pound weight loss for the person who finds Beagle!!!!

Beagle Bailey, I'm Back But Where Art Thou?!?!?!?! If You Don't Come Back Quick I'll Call You!!! :d Hehehehe

Hey lady! I see you on now and then so don't forget to pop into your own diary!! LOL Hope you are taking care of yourself!

Okay okay, I'll post :p

I should really apologize for not being on in so long... I've lurked a couple of times but didn't post. I have not been a good Beagle the past couple of weeks and managed to put myself back up to at least 181 :( I think my slippage started with the festivities leading up to and including my best friends wedding. So many snack platters and pastries and such. It was even the food I was bad with, I was going to the gym half as often as I should have been, since between appointments across town, and cherished days of nothingness I kept making excuses and conveniently forgetting.

However as of tomorrow, I'm back on a strict diet to get myself back on track! For at least an entire week I pledge to say NO to junk food and YES to more water, as well as trying to make it to they gym at least FOUR TIMES for at least FOURTY FIVE minutes a session. Also, I can't forget to do situps EVERY NIGHT!

Thanks a million to everyone who kept checking in on me and goading me back to the forums and not giving up :)

Aw snap, I wanted to get back to everyone's journal that checked in on me while I was gone, but my break isn't long enough! I only got to two! I won't be at my own computer until tomorrow night, but I'll be back for the rest of you, I promise!!

Well, I have to say you aren't the only one going backwards a little. I'm back up to 208! We gotta get ourselves going in the right direction! :D

Awwwww, Beagle, I am SOOO HAPPY to see you. I really missed you. But hope you enjoyed yourself with all the wedding festivities.

And don't beat yourself up too much about what's already done. I was doing the same thing and the lovely folks on here really helped put it into perspective for me. What's done is done and let's just move on. Every day is a new start. And we can do it together!!!!

Welcome back :)

Hi Beagle, I'm glad you're back! I frequently have those slips & backtracking, but we can beat it, I'm sure of it. Each time we'll get better and better! I like this week's goal, you CAN do it! I'll check in with you again later. Let's stay on track this week!
