Beagle's No Lie Zone

I went and seen x-men 3 yesterday as well what did you think? I enjoyed it and thought it was on par with the first two. How are you going with your water?

I am totally into this "no lies" motif... that is my motto too... i try to type in everything that I eat/drink in the day - no exceptions. It helps me to see later where my rough spots were, what foods are my downfalls, and also, writing that crap down sucks - so before i put something in my mouth I think - how will i feel when i have to log this later?!

I was going to say something about eating only at dinner (because it seemed from your first post like the only time you were going to eat was at dinner time)... i think that might be a little unhealthy - just because you need the energy to get through the day! (breakfast is the most important meal!)

BUT then it looks like you are eating breakfast and lunch... so maybe you just mean no snacks and save those cals up for dinner?

I am such a huge proponent of what kinds of calories we are eating. watch your fatty foods... i'm not saying don't load up on fries and meat - just be careful what kinds you are eating... potatoes and protein are good for you - just in moderation...

(i can't fib here either can I? - well - I have a fond affection for fast food breaded chicken sandwiches and frenchfries.... and ate them far too often in the past month)

GOOD LUCK babe! I'm starting afresh too - we can do this!!!

Today's Food:
- toast - 150
- *more* leftover chicken - 600 (its all gone now thank goodness)
- spaghetti & meatsauce - 600
- garlic bread - 200
Total: 1550

30 mins of turbo jam!

While I was doing Turbo Jam, my sister came downstairs to do laundry (since my room is right next to the washer/dryer), and she was all "geez it smells like BO down here!" I may have gotten a little huffy at her calling me out about being sweaty, but I was also kind of proud for sweating so much I stank. Now to go take a shower...

Good job getting your exercise in! I know it's a pain in the but sometimes. :p I don't like exercising around people though, which can make it difficult sometimes. Ya know, I don't know how you do it, but you eat so little. A lot of people eat that way actually and it amazes me. I have a good 1800 calories a day, though I don't count. Awesome with the food!

By the way, I checked out those Save the Date pictures and they aren't bad. Number 3 is awefully plain though and doesn't do much. I'm digging the second one, it just needs a nice border around it.

No lies rocks! I want to be the same! im always truthful with what i eat - but i really want some constructive critisism! xxx

I like the second one too, Ocire. Its probably what I'll use once I get them printed in a few months.

I was going to go to the gym before class today, but I think I'm coming down with something... I'm a little sniffly and my throat is super swollen and sore. :( I hope I feel better by tomorrow.

Weekly Weigh-In was at 182 again, nothing lost nothing gained.

Yesterday's food:
- 2 granola bars - 300
- turkey and bacon sandwich - 500
- homestyle fries - 400
Total: 1200

Though, I did also have most of a roll of Hall's, does anyone know how many calories are in that? Judging by the taste, I'm pretty sure there isn't a lot of sugar in them *blech* I am feeling better today though. Still a little stuffy but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to function at work at least.

Boy This Forum Is Messing With Me Lol I See My Other Post Now!

LOL, yeah the forum can definitely play tricks sometimes :p

Just finished doing TWO HUNDRED situps! 50 on each of the four muscle groups (upper and lower middle, and then either side) :D I don't even have to use my ab roller anymore! I may just sell it soon, since the reason I got it in the first place was to make the situps a little easier while I built up my neck and upper back muscles, and I seem to have done that just fine.

Planning on going to the gym after work tonight if I've cleared up a bit more by then. Last thing I want is to be dripping snot all over someone else's machines ><

200 sit ups is very impressive to me, I really must start exercising my abs etc because I'm just not doing it just now. I always find sit ups etc really really hard heheh so a big well done for managing 200!

HOORAY! I found your journal, and I'm so proud of you for making it a lie-free area. No buttering anyone up, no fake kudos, nothing but honesty. Thank you Beagle, I'm thrilled. OK, so let's talk about exercise. I'm in the same boat, I have a hell of a time getting the motivation together to move my a$$, but we need to, not moving is causing our scales to not move too, and that sucks. Also, I'm concerned about those "handfulls" of things on your menu. Do you weigh them? Studies have shown that we (especially American women) underestimate what we eat by 33% and overestimate our exercise by 50%. That's sad. I'm not saying you can't judge portions, but I certainly can't so watch that, OK? Hey, we're being honest, AND helpful at the same time, right? Have a great week, glad to see you're back in the swing.:D

hey beagle! stopping into your new journal. it is hard to get to the no lying point. seriously. very easy to not write down something you snack on here or there and it spirals out of control. at least for me it did. so hooray for getting back into the game and being honest will help you succeed even more so! great work and keep it up!

wow - i hadn't ever thought too much about that whole over-under estimating thing - but it makes sense... I try so hard to be aware of portion control!

fantastic job on the crunches. I think the key is to do them consistently. I get on a kick where i do them for three days and then not again for two weeks... which never helps. I have mananged to do crunches and squats and lunges 3 of the past 4 days though... so i'm feeling good about it. I'm not doing nearly as many crunches as you yet though... my abs scream out to me at about 25!

bacon? i'm not going to lecture... lol... but remember- moderation is our best friend!

Hey Beagle,

Way to get in some sit ups! Go girl! And congrats on brewing up some good BO! haha You crack me up.

Good job on your food the past few days & for maintaining you loss. I ate pretty sinful over the weekend, but back on track today.

I like the 1st save the date, with the pink flowers. Are they going to be fridge magnets? My sis made hers fridge magnets with her kindergarten pic and her hubby's kindergarten pic on it. It was adorable.

Hope you have a great week.

Crunchie - the situps/crunches were really the hardest thing ever for me to do, especially since I had a weak neck and upper back, that was like two months ago. It just takes sticking to it to work yourself up to it :)

missprincess - thanks for taking the time to worry about me, but you don't need to :) I do stay conscious of my portions. The box of crackers I ate from that time list calories for 10 crackers, and I usually can only fit 6 or 7 in my hand at a time, but I list the calories for all 10 to try and compensate for underestimating I might do. I also totally agree with you on "not moving means the scale isn't either"! In fact, that's a great motivational statement, you should put that in your sig!

skyler - the whole reason I started this journal was because it DID spiral out of control and I felt terrible about it! So this is my new start :)

amomono - Honesty time: I usually only get 1 or 2 days of crunches in a week even though I aim for 3 or 4 >< Something to work on! Not to brag, but after 50 each today, I could have pushed myself harder, but I was about to miss the bus (actually I did miss the bus)

MissJellyBelly - ooh, that's a good idea to incorporate pictures of ourselves into the save the dates! And Yeah, we were going to make them magnets to make sure nobody loses them!

I don't have time to get to journals just yet, I only have a short break, but I'll definitely get to them tomorrow morning if not tonight!

Today's Food:
- 2 frozen yogurt cups - 450 (I know, but they felt sooo good on my sore throat!)
- bowl of corn flakes with half a banana - 250
- chicken & salad - 450
Total: 1150

Exercise:
- 4 sets of 50 crunches
- 20 minutes on the treadmill (mostly walking, but did a couple 1:30 sprints)
- 15 minutes walking home

I am planning on doing some more biking in a few minutes (giving Josh a chance to finish his naughty late-night snack before I go back downstairs where the bike is), probably 30-45 mins. I'm trying to keep it kind of low-but-long because with a stuffy nose and sore throat like this I really can't get my heartrate going without feeling like I'm suffocating myself :(

hi beagle... saw your name posting like crazy when I was so I thought I'd come in to wave hello. :) *waves* Hello! ;)

Hope you feel better soon. I'm slowly developing a sore throat myself so I can sympathize. Eat some oranges for some vitamin C~! and get some extra rest tonight.

and oh my. 4 sets of 50 crunches. I did 2 sets of 20 and I couldn't move the next day. you go girl! *applauds and then faints outta exhaustion just thinking about 200 ab crunches*

;)

yeah, I don't usually get to posting at the same time as anyone else, so I have to catch up all at once :)

And don't worry I've been tossing back Vitamin C tablets all day, so hopefully I'll kick this darn cold soon!
