Beagle's New Journal

*Yaaaaawn* Good morning- oops, I mean afternoon, girls! Thanks for all stopping by and such, its always such a treat to wake up to so many people cheering me on! :D

BizeB: Two bites... I wish I could get that much out of half a cup without taking teensy bites ;) We have what I thought were very reasonable sized dessert bowls here, and then I found out that they would hold two servings of ice cream - after I ate it! Not last night of course, it was some time ago. I'm just so bad at estimating proportions, I usually buy things that are easy to measure. Well, I don't buy them, I ask my mom to buy them :p

NewLeaf: I think creative writing courses are awesome to take, I hear. Kinda wish that there were creative writing courses to take before the college/university level; one of my big pet peeves about public school curriculum is that ALL writing is academic-preperation writing. Essays, book reports, BLAH. Between grade six and now I have not had to do a single creative assignment, except on papers where formatting was flexible (I did a webpage-paper once for philosophy; if anyone's interested in Nietzsche, I still have it uploaded if you want to read it).

Today's plan: more paper writing, because I really got approximately nothing done yesterday, take a small break to play some video games with Josh (we think we're gonna sync up our Super Nintendo emulators and play some old-skool Donkey Kong Country over the internet!), more paper writing, dinner, work out, and either play more games or write more paper depending on how much work I've got done.

I actually had a dream last night about writing my paper... I wish I could remember what I'd written! I do remember looking at what I had so far, and the print had gone off the paper because I wrote too much! The words were just dangling off my desk! Heh, I have such weird dreams sometimes :p

Beagle, I put my ice cream ( on the rare occasion I allow myself) in ramekins. They are the perfect size for a half cup and it actually looks like a lot so I can fool my mental self :D Okay, I know I am ALWAYS mental but I MEANT the way I see the "serving" in my mind! :p :D

It was nice chattin' with ya:) how did the paper go? Did you run out of paper? hehehehe ;) Hope you had a great day.

Good luck with the paper! Its been so long since I have had to write one, but I haven't forgotten the pressure it would put me under.

My son is Nintendo crazy. He is nine and loves anything Mario. We have the Gamecube, the 64 and up in his room he has an old NES, which still has a bunch of old games that still work. His favorite is Mario 3, but he likes Final Fantasy 1 as well. I thought maybe we could sell the old NES, but he refused to part with it.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

Fluff: Between Josh and I, we have a NES, 2 SNES's, an N64, and 2 Gamecubes, so yeah, we like Nintendo :p He's also got a PS2 with a ton of games from both PS and PS2 (I looooove Katamari Damacy! - he got the moon to over 800m once!)

BizeB: well I'm doing the paper digitally, so, nope haven't run out of paper yet! lol... I'm about half done, and I hope to get it done tonight so I can focus on the other one tomorrow night, which will be shorter, but I have much more to fit into it. THEN I can start studying for the two midterms I have the week after! One is on Feb 15, I really hope I don't have to choose between valentine's day or a respectable mark, because Josh and I both booked the 14th off work :(

Enough stalling:
Sunday food: 1550
Breakfast - 0
- slept in & missed
Lunch - 500
- big bowl of chili - 500

Dessert - 300
- small peice of tiramisu - 300

wow this was definitely a cheat day, and I wasn't even planning for it to be one... I wimped out and had a second serving of the potatoes, I really shouldn't have :( I also shouldn't have had such a big lunch to start the day off.

Good thing I had some calories left over from yesterday. I also will have to do much better tomorrow.

Ta-da! One paper down, one to go :D

I made it a webpage (it just seemed to work so much better with the flow of it), so if anyone wants to read/proof-read a really boring paper on Apathy, send me a PM and I'll send you a link of it :p

Now I'm going to do my biking and situps (and maybe some pushups!) since I've been putting them off to get done!

Morning Beagle! Congrats on finishing one paper!!! :) Exercise is looking good. hope you have a great week!

Mornin' Beagle! Great job on getting that paper done! :D I wouldn't worry so much about your "unplanned cheat day"- like you said. You have calories left in the "bank" :D You're doin' wonderful. Keep it goin' and have a good day today :D

So I weighed myself this morning, and I have lost HALF a pound :( And the way that half worked itself, I can't even round down to 191, because I was 192.4 last week. I think it might have been from eating so much so late last night, even after my biking. So, I'm going to be careful today, and have a re-do tomorrow morning ;) That was just a practice weigh-in!

Ooh, ooh, my Turbo Jam DVDs came this morning! I am so tempted to skip school today and try them out, but its less than an hour for the first DVD, so I can wait until after school! A 45 minute workout is not worth missing 3 hours of class.

Today I actually packed my lunch for school! this is unheard of for me, lol. I've got a banana, a fruit bar, and two yogurt cups to help me make it through those three hours and the hour-each-way busride. Hm, actually, that seems like a bit much for only 5 hours (about 400 calories). I'll leave one of the yogurts behind and have it when I get home.

Hi Beagle! you're so cute. Packing your lunch and all. hehe I've been doing that too. Bringing fruit to class while the others munch on chips. haha

I notice you eat egg whites for breakfast. Do you buy them like that, or do you have to remove the yolk? I've usually do the eggbeaters, just curious.

Hope school is going well for you. Congrats on finishing the paper. I have to get started on mine, it's due tomorrow. Talk to you soon, Have a good day.

I'm manually seperating them using some tips given to me earlier in the thread... I'm still working on this new skill though, both times I've tried I've ended up with just a bit of yolk in the mix anyways >< I will have to practice more :p

Beagle, oh it just takes practice to perfect that seperating yolks & whites "just so." lol.. you can buy egg beaters or things like that also ,w hich is a wee bit easier to deal with. I don't think its any cheaper by any means! :)

Keep up that great work ..and packing lunches etc. I def. have to pack mine, or I'd be way too tempted, or sick salds from fast food joints!~ :)

Good things I learned today: Digestive cookies are only 25 calories each?? I would have thought at least 50! I mean, granted, they are basically ground wheat held together with maybe some water and a teensy bit of sugar for flavouring, but they are really big! Like two inches across! Haha, whatever, I'll take it! :D

Bad thing about today: mom ordered out for pizza. At least she was kind enough to order veggie for me. Thankfully I'd been extra careful the rest of the day, and could afford it :) I mean, yeah I went over a little bit today, but I think it was worth it because I loooooove pizza :D

Still haven't tried out the new DVD because I walked home from school today - hard! My legs were aching so badly, and they've only just recently started feeling normal again. I think I'll give it a try after I'm finished up with this game.

Newleaf: I kinda have to pack my lunch since I only give myself a certain amount of money from each cheque and I ran out over the weekend, so I have until thursday with no money unless I get Josh to buy me lunch :p

OH. WOW.

I just finished the "Learn & Burn" part of the Turbo Jam DVD... she ain't kidding about the burn  I didn't think it was possible to sweat that much in twenty minutes!

I'm definitely going to have to practice with it though, there were a few kind of complex moves, where I couldn't quite keep up with the tape, but I don't think it'll take more than a couple of days with it to get it right :) Not to mention I need to figure out a better place to do the work out, because I just don't have enough room in my bedroom for the kicks, so I didn't get much good out of them at all.

Overall though, I think I'm gonna like this :D

Morning Beagle! Wow the DVD sounds interesting. :) Were yup until 1am doing that? Crazy!!! Well, hey I say keep packing the lunch, it sounds like you are doing great with it! :D

Enjoy the burn!!

Some nights I just don't get tired until way too late, I figured it'd be a good way to run myself down :p And it was around midnight for me, not 1am... though it still did take nearly to 1 to actually get to sleep!

I slept in a little this morning, I hope I have time to make lunch! lol, what am I doing here?

Lol, its true, I'm back already!! :D

Actually, I'm just writing down what I packed so I don't have to do the count later, and maybe forget something :p Don't have time to make a good breakfast so I'll probably start munching in my first class.

- baggie of mini carrots - 50
- chopped apple - 75
- fruit bar - 150 (these things are awesome!)
- banana - 100
- yogurt cup - 90
Total: 465
