Beagle's New Journal

Yeah, I just never seem to find the time to go to a stylist to get it maintained, just like I usually never seem to find time to do my hair or makeup. But, I'm trying to change that, because I seem to get so many more compliments when I do take the time, especially from FH. Oh, if only I wasn't such a terrible morning person :p

Weekly weigh-in results: 192 again! So I lost that pound I gained last week, but nothing more. Sigh. At this pace, I'm getting discouraged that I'm going to meet my goal for the summer. I have 40 lbs to lose in 4 months... its sure possible, but I really need to crack down on myself!

Stupid, stubborn, fat... go away!!

Aww Beagle, you will get there, don't worry!! :) I knwo all about plateuaing or having a slow week or two. But next thing you know a big chunk of weight will fly off and you'll be shocked!! So just keep up the determination !

Thanks for the kind words :) It just seems like I'm always in a plateau, losing two pounds and then gaining one. Just a little frustrating, but what can you do? Keep going, that's what.

Hi Beagle :D Don't let that pound bug you so badly that you give up!!!! You WILL reach your goal - we believe in you and so should you :) Suck down water and kick butt! ;) Hang in there with us:)

Today, I am tired but happy. Spent the night over at Josh's house, and he has such a little bed. On the negative side it means that whenever one of us rolls over, the other wakes up, but on the positive, it means that he's always there and in contact with me. Maybe its really mushy, but I feel very secure whenever I'm in direct contact with him :) Of course, there is something to be said for a bigger bed where we can both sleep peacefully without waking each other up ;)

In other news, I'm seriously debating skipping my swedish class tomorrow. Usually Wednesdays are lab days, where we record different exercises on to tapes to practice our oral skills, but its cancelled tomorrow so we can have a guest speaker come in. She's a very important swed, used to be the deputy prime minister of sweden (or maybe she still is?), and also is a representative in another country (can't remember which). She's in town to give a talk for international week on campus, so she's stopping in to a few classes for Q&As. Anyways, we're supposed to prepare questions about things we'd like to know about sweden, but I honestly don't have that much of a burning desire to know much about it beyond what I learn in class. Also, tomorrow I have the class right after swedish cancelled as well, and so would then have three hours before a different lab to go to the mall, or maybe even home (though I'd only be home for half an hour before having to leave again). I guess I'll have to see how I feel tomorrow.

Hi Beagle :D just checkin in on ya real quick. Looks like you are doin' great :D Small beds can be realllllly nice ;) but I agree, there is something to be said for beds with enough space to sleep peacefully. As for your class... I'd see how you feel tomorrow, too. :)

will check in with ya real quick tomorrow :D

BTW good luck with getting your homework caught up and on midterms in a couple weeks!!!:D Now, I would NEVER deliberately leave ya out of the luck circle!!! LOL ;)

hey beagle just dropping in to say hello, sounds like u are doing good! and I also understand about the small bed, when my bf lived at home with his parents he had a small bed, but it was cozy :) but we wouldnt trade our big bed in now for anything!! I am not ready for our weigh in tomorrow!! lol all the best

Today, I feel like skipping the presentation to catch up on my assignments. Three hours is a lot of time to get stuff done, but I don't think it'll be quite enough. At least I can make a sizable dent in it though :) Most of my homework is actually in swedish - I've got a conversation to write, random sweden facts to look up, a lab recording to finish, and I think a couple of exercise pages on time expressions and comparisons. Then I need to finish a write up on a chapter in my media class, and actually do the writing part of my photo essay for socialization class. Whew!

Most of you don't care what my homework is, I bet, but its more for my sake anyways. I tend to remember things better when I write them down, but an agenda book is pretty useless for me because I never think to open it after writing in it! At least here, I know I'll look at this again. :D

I weighed in this morning, and had lost almost half a pound from monday... so I am being extra super careful today with what I eat because I just will not accept another challenge finished with no progress!!

And I absolutely love my bed, its a good queen size, and has a firm matress with a pillow top, mmm :D I like the firm mattress because it gives good support, but the pillow top gives just the perfect amount of give for coziness. Its one of the few things I have that I sprung for the really good quality stuff because I'd like it to last a long time.

At least I'm not the only one that does that! Lol!:D

Hi Beagle, just quickly poppin in :) You're doing great:) Got all caught up yet? Keep up the good work and I'll pop back in soon :)

Lol, man I am a terrible student. I skip classes so often... I mean its not like I don't enjoy the classes, I just happen to enjoy sleeping in more! :p

Actually, I would have gone to this morning's class but I ended up staying up until almost 2 in the morning trying to fix the most stubborn aesthetic issue on my webpage  (I have a particular portion of the page that I'd like to fill up the whole page, and I can get it to work in Internet Explorer, but it will only fill up what it absolutely has to in FireFox) I never did get it fixed, I'm going to have to call on some of my hardcore coder friends to help out. I did though up date my 'portfolio' on that website, since the old one, while super-easy to work with, kind of put out crap previews of the pictures, and that's just not acceptable for a business venture, y'know? Since the part that is bugging me only bugs me because I know its not working how its supposed to and I don't think anyone else will notice, I'm going to start handing out business cards again. I already know of at least a couple places who might be interested, so I'll start there.

By the way, if anyone is interested, the website I mention is .

I got a fair chunk of the work done... finished one assignment, have one exercise left on another, and then the rest I can get finished between work and school today in the Language Lab (I always feel like such a doofus recording my swedish when there are other people there, but they are all being the same kind of doofus too ;))

Hi Beagle, just popped in for a "quickie" LOL Yipes!! I hope you've eaten by now, woman!! Holy Moly! hehehehe
Hopefully you'll get your web problem fixed without too much trouble. I took a peeksy at the site - you do awesome work :D wish I had half that talent  but alas, it isn't to be :p :D Hope all is okay with your day :D

Yeah I actually ate right after I made the post, I just forgot to come back and fix it :) But there it is now so you don't have to worry!

Okay, I have come to the conclusion I put WAY too much sauce on my subs and wraps :( That wrap I had for dinner would have been just under 400 calories, but nooo I had to add lite mayo PLUS 'secret sauce' PLUS honey mustard sauce because they are all so delicious!

I think next time I'm trying it with just the honey mustard since that's all I really taste anyways. See if it makes much difference.
