So basically after that bad long weekend...I had a really long, busy and stressful week at work.
I checked on friday and I was 185, but I had such a bad day work-wise I decided I needed to leave the city for a last minute getaway and just relax and see something new. I booked a hotel in Seattle (I'm from Vancouver so it's about 3.5 h drive) at the end of my workday for that same day till sunday(today) for the weekend. Went with 2 of my gal friends on a whim and just booked it after work.
Never being to Seattle, it was a very good trip. Pike's place was fun and food was great. Downtown Seattle is deserted at night and it was kind of sketchy - i heard most american cities are like that at night? I wasn't expecting that and wandering around when we got there late wasn't the best idea! it didn't feel very safe. Went to the beach, went to do some shopping, casino and of course we ate.
I definitley didn't eat well. It was like mainly 2 meals a day but the meals were big, filling and not healthy. What I ate on the trip:
Friday:
- shared a burger/chicken popcorn shrimp/fries at Sonic Burger
Saturday :
LUNCH
- shared 3 big bowls of 3 types of chowder from Pike Place's Chowder which is super famous for chowders...
- had some russian pastry Piroshsky(?) - wasn't that good..also at pike's place.
DINNER
- cheesecake factory pasta + bread
drinks:
- had an iced mocha, lemonade
SUNDAY:
LUNCH
- shared torta, quesadilla and 4 tacos between 3 of us
DINNER
- shared some pad thai and deep fried chicken wings with some garlicy sauce with rice
I feel really stuffed and it was a good weekend but not for my stomache I am sure!!
The one GREAT thing from this trip is that I walked A LOT. More than I have in the last 2 years and my feet felt relatively good/great for the duration of the trip. It was quite impressive to myself even and I am quite happy for that.
Anyways..I really don't even want to see what i weight tomorrow morning but I'm sure I will eat well on the weekdays which I usually do. I have a dinner planned for tuesday, thursday and also back to back bbq's on saturday and Sunday. Saturday is another meetup.com thing and I have ordered a veggie burger in advance.
