ate a batch of cashews, a couple chestnuts and a couple almonds ~ 250 cal

egg white + cheese ~ 250 cal

some chinese broth with carrots/veggies ~ 100 cal

So total for the day - 1420 Cals

Not bad. Didn't exercise again. I'm getting some early sleep. Gonna need the energy at the bbq party tomorrow! Haven't really met a whole lot of strangers for a long time now!

Oh my god, your Mah-Jong shuffler table is INCREDIBLE, I want one!!!!!! I only played against the computer, not as a social thing.

I've got out of the habit of exercise too. Its so easy to stop doing it, you think "sod it" for a couple of days for assorted reasons, but after that when you've got no valid excuse, the exersice still doesn't happen. We should make a pact to nag at each other about it more.

Consider your self well and truly nagged at. You as well jasper.

You've got guts going along to that BBQ on your own, I admire your get-yourself-out-there attitude :D How'd it go? It was a good idea to go for the veggie burger :)

I am so hungry right now!!! But it's 11PM.

So I went to the BBQ beach meetup tonight. I was quite excited to do my first meetup.com thing but when I actually parked at the beach, I got so nervous about looking for a big group of people - plus I came after work so they started earlier and I was worried they were in their own lil groups already and stuff.

I had a lot of fun actually meeting a lot of people. I enjoyed practicing my social skills and it was just fun talking to new people. I had a great time and met some really cool people, definitely will be going back - they have another one on wednesday again and I may try to fit that in if possible. I actually clicked with a lot of people and that was fun.

I actually ate very little at the bbq - only a veggie burger ( the patty was tiny ) but with cheese and ketchup. I had a cup of pop as well - there was nothing else to drink.

BUT IM STARVING NOW omg...

Food:

BF - almond milk + cereal ~ 200 cals

Lunch - white peach + almonds + cheese triangle ~ 200 cals
i thought about getting some peanut congee, but i thought I'd be eating a lot at the bbq so I didn't...REALLY wanted some

Dinner - veggie burger + cheese, cup of pop. ~ 600 cals

10PM - handful of blueberries ~ 100 cals

Total - 1100 cals

Pretty awesome considering I went to a BBQ - i think it's because they didn't really have a lot of variety of food. It was regular hot dog sausages, beef burgers - there was ice cream but i avoided that. I definitely would have eaten some chicken if they had any...Mmm bbq chicken.

I was too busy enjoying new company that the hunger hit me just when I got home.

Jasper - Thanks! I know..it's amazing to see the scale go down and down...If i can survive this weekend with no real damage...i can have hopes of seeing 180 next week :)

Ruthie - Oh...yeah..the exercise....!! I end up making excuses too like - I'm not eating a lot of calories so I can not exercise today.

What's SOD IT??? Another british term I don't understand! Oh man..you got to play mah jong socially..it is ADDICTIVE. I am going to be those old asian farts doing that when I get old and retire.

Obstacles this weekend!

1) Saturday! I have a evening out at a lounge where we are eating dinner and I know they serve junk food - fries, onion rings, etc. I will most likely be eating out for lunch too.

2) Sunday! Lunch out for sure. Trying to get mah jong going, but missing one.

So...I lost 3.2 lbs overnight. I don't know why..but I'll take it! I'm going to assume some of this is going to come back tomorrow! But damn, it's nice to see that number!! As I've said before...I haven't seen 17x for 10+ years. Holy sod!

Haha, the "sod it" thing made me giggle. Its a much milder form of "fuck it". Its the sort of thing Hugh Grant (bit of a toff, famous actor) might say if he dropped his newspaper on the floor.

Did you exercise today? I made excuses again this morning cos I was meeting a friend, I was in a rush and thought I'd be doing a lot of walking. Its not good enough though! DEFINITELY TOMORROW (my trademark) lol.

You have got me thinking actually... About mah-jong being better played socially, and your meet-up thing. I might look to see if there are any mah-jong type meet-ups in London. I've got nothing to lose. And I would like the possibility of seeing a real life shuffle table!

Okay...super busy weekend. Just a quick summary from what I remember..

Friday : meetup.com group - great fun, didn't eat much!
Sat : woke up at 181.x - which was 3 lbs less than the day before! But..I ate poorly that day. I forget what. A heavy brunch and also big bowl of noodles later in the day.
Sun : woke up at 184.x - similar to what i was friday morning. Ate poorly again.
Mon : today was a holiday here in british columbia (BC day)...didn't check the scale today, cuz i woke up and went out right away. I ate poorly, and no exercise. I 'feel' fat today!

So ...let's see what the damage is tomorrow morning.

Oh..and no exercise.

Seriously. Exercise.

I know its hard, but do it. Just for one minute. At least that way you will be getting into the habit of doing it on autopilot again, even if you won't be burning calories. I jumped on the trampoline for 5 minutes yesterday (rather than my usual 15), and hated every second. But this morning I did it again for 7 minutes. I will eventually do weight resistance again, I just want to concentrate on getting the habit back first. YOU DO THE SAME!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!

I am still here! Thanks jasper, ally, ruthie for missin' me :hug:

So basically after that bad long weekend...I had a really long, busy and stressful week at work.

I checked on friday and I was 185, but I had such a bad day work-wise I decided I needed to leave the city for a last minute getaway and just relax and see something new. I booked a hotel in Seattle (I'm from Vancouver so it's about 3.5 h drive) at the end of my workday for that same day till sunday(today) for the weekend. Went with 2 of my gal friends on a whim and just booked it after work.

Never being to Seattle, it was a very good trip. Pike's place was fun and food was great. Downtown Seattle is deserted at night and it was kind of sketchy - i heard most american cities are like that at night? I wasn't expecting that and wandering around when we got there late wasn't the best idea! it didn't feel very safe. Went to the beach, went to do some shopping, casino and of course we ate.

I definitley didn't eat well. It was like mainly 2 meals a day but the meals were big, filling and not healthy. What I ate on the trip:

Friday:
- shared a burger/chicken popcorn shrimp/fries at Sonic Burger

Saturday :

LUNCH
- shared 3 big bowls of 3 types of chowder from Pike Place's Chowder which is super famous for chowders...
- had some russian pastry Piroshsky(?) - wasn't that good..also at pike's place.

DINNER
- cheesecake factory pasta + bread

drinks:
- had an iced mocha, lemonade

SUNDAY:
LUNCH
- shared torta, quesadilla and 4 tacos between 3 of us

DINNER
- shared some pad thai and deep fried chicken wings with some garlicy sauce with rice

I feel really stuffed and it was a good weekend but not for my stomache I am sure!!

The one GREAT thing from this trip is that I walked A LOT. More than I have in the last 2 years and my feet felt relatively good/great for the duration of the trip. It was quite impressive to myself even and I am quite happy for that.

Anyways..I really don't even want to see what i weight tomorrow morning but I'm sure I will eat well on the weekdays which I usually do. I have a dinner planned for tuesday, thursday and also back to back bbq's on saturday and Sunday. Saturday is another meetup.com thing and I have ordered a veggie burger in advance.
