Bad Feet Has Ruined My Life - Need to get healthy again.

wow I take it back! I want your japanese chef to come and whip me up some meals! It looks fantastic. Sometimes you do have days like that (rarely hopefullY!) where you jsut can't even begin to guess the calories. To be honest though, that's better than going and THINKING you are eating something ok...and doing it again and again, when your choice is really a huge lot of calories.

morning weigh-in after face-stuffing :

190.2 lbs. +0.8 lbs

I can live with that. I will work hard today and don't have any bad plans today.

This weekend is going to be rough! Summer's a bit tough to cut down but I'll be trying my best.

@ jjjay - that's true. I love how everyone else justifies 'bad' behavior for you in this forum lol. But yes - I've only been to 3 omakase's in my life so it definitely isn't a regular thing. They are usually a bit expensive but this one was good value at $50.

Have to get back under 190 and it'll be a win if i can keep that past BBQ sunday.

that food looks delicious!
YOu made me smile with thise pictures. You actually took your cam out in the restaurant?thinking of us your net friends!Thats great!!really!!i take pics too thinking i am going to post them later for u guys to see!
Even at 190 u re down a pound!so keep going!!!!!
Hope u manage yourself well this weekend with all that suff coming up

Thanks Jasper!

I actually take pictures of all my food! :coolgleamA:

I <3 food! I used to blog about where I ate with pictures. I took cooking courses in the summer for fun when I was younger. I worked at restaurants as a cook for a while!

When I go on vacation... I plan my trips around restaurants - I'm more of a diners drive-in and dives kinda guy. I like the hole-in-the-walls and gems. Not a white tablecloth and candles kinda guy! I come back from vacations with more pics of food than people!

ahh....food...my love hate relationship..

I think in the end..i just want to be in good shape, and maintain a healthy weight with exercise so I am able to eat more freely without feeling guilty everytime I eat something bad. Does that make sense? I want to thin out first, maintain a exercise regime and eat (more) freely.

Yep.

Welp..today was good.

Food:

Almond milk + cereal ~ 150 cals

Blackberries + nuts/raisins ~ 200 cals

fried vermicelli noodles (small amount! - the temptations of working in a restaurant... ) ~ 200 cals

1 sushi roll - pumpkin/curry - i was avoiding meat cause of my gout since I had a lot of seafood yesterday. ~300 cals

bike - 30 minutes ~ (200 cals)

egg whites + double smoked cheddar ( finally got to open this one..) + sauteed mushrooms, cucumbers. ~ 400 cals

chinese brothy soup ~ 100 cals

Total 1350 Cals - 200 cals = 1150 cals

I should really just copy and paste my daily standard diet..it's the same turd everyday!!! which i enjoy..but darn i look like one boring robot ...

So far so good! Looking forward to getting back under 190.

Funny how after being on a diet for a while without feeling hunger...you realize people just over eat way too much...you really don't need that much food each and every day.

@jasper - i also watch food tv when I bike...i really think its these forums that keeps me in check since i think about food so much..also the cheese in my egg whites ! :)

Both my shins felt a lil crampy at the end of my 30 min bike. Might be me not stretching today...or maybe too many days of biking in a row...

Morning Weigh-In ... 188.8 lbs (-1.4)

Very happy with that.

I am going to give my feet/legs a rest after biking i think 6 days in a row. I will work on the bowflex today.

This is the worst day for me so far since starting this diary! But it's okay - it wasn't -thaaat- bad.

I had lunch with a friend and then went with her to buy a birthday gift - at the best chocolatiers shop in town. Well, needless to say we ended up sampling a couple items...right after our lunch. And then we had a surprise birthday for my friend at a sushi place + cake.

The good news is I didn't eat -that- much. The bad news is, i ate mostly out today and there's a lot of extra calories out there!! Also I didn't end up bowflexing. Also...bbq tomorrow @ my place!!!

almond milk + cereal + banana ~ 300 cals

soup noodles and fried noodles ~ 800 cals (at least I didn't order dumpling and stuff which we usually do...)

half a macaron(?), one salted caramel chocolate, half an almond croissant, half a chocolate cookie ~ 600 cals - this sampling was bad..but oh so good!

Sharing a bunch of rolls, sashimi, tempura, udon, rice... ~ 800 cals ( i actually didn't eat that much here..because I was watching out on my Gout since I had eaten a lot of shellfish on thursday so I wanted to avoid eating too much fish...)

We also went bowling and karaoke - ate a couple chips ~ 100 cals

Total ~2600 Cals - no exercise

So not the greatest..but not totally overboard..and I think it might be lower than that.

Super tired....gonna sleep.

2 weigh ins today!
Woke up at 9am - bowel movements - 190.0 (+1.2)

Went back to sleep. Woke up 3 hours later + bowel movement - 189.2 (+0.4)

So I'll take the last one!

BBQ time!

Looks like I didn't manage my weekend very well.

Yesterday I ate a bit too much and didn't exercise.

Today I ate too much and didn't exercise.

Basically I had a BBQ at my place with about 20 other people and just ate a decent amount of food and most of it wasn't that healthy. chicken wings, mashed potatoes, spring rolls, mango pudding, ice cream sandwich, tortilla chips, and drank an aloe drink.

Wild guess ~ 3500 cals

If I am under 190.0 tomorrow, I will be stoked. Don't have any plans this week so far...so looking to get that weight down. Seems like I need a little cushion for the weekends.

Had a fun weekend though!

seems that you managed well with the circumstances, hope your weight will be good tomorow, just really take care this week, and get as much exercise u can in!!

Miracles do happen!

Weighed in today at 189.2 (+0.0)

incredible!!!! On days like this, I think its the exercise paying off with the metabolism or whatever!

So happy.

I had a late night so I didn't end up packing/bringing a lunch.

I'll figure it out!

back to the good ol healthy weekdays!

@jasper - thanks! I think I managed it okay saturday but yesterday not so much..it's all good!

3500 calories, blooming heck :) You don't do things by halves do ya!

Glad to see you didn't gain tho. But next time you might not be so lucky. So behave yourself lol.

@overtherainbow: Yes, mother!! ;) I love it. A bit of a scolding from someone...!! It's nice to know there are people here that put their foot down when someone goes off track... I thought it might be -too- supportive in these forums. Thanks Ruth!!!! I won't do it again, just don't beat me again !! ;)

So...I was so out of energy today...I didn't exercise. But I didn't eat too much either. I slept at about 4AM and woke up at 8AM for work. When I got home, i put on my workout shorts and a dri-fit shirt...and I kept putting exercise off.

Food:

almond milk + cereal ~150 cals

fried noodles + congee ~ 600 cals

watermelon ~ 300 cals

potatoes, vegetables and broth ~ 350 cals

total ~ 1400 cals

I ate well but thats 3 days of no exercising. I think I'm hitting my first speed bump...when i get into a couple days of eating like i did on the weekend...it kind of opens up a can of worms for me.

If it wasn't for this diary..i may have pigged out more today.

Gonna get a good nights rest..then i have no excuses tomorrow...actualy i have a dinner at 7..but still i can fit something in...><

weigh in -187.6 (-1.6)

not even sure how this one is possible based on my performance yesterday... ill take it ofcourse!

..im getting lazy with the exercise..

Apparantly when your tired you produce a hormone that makes you more hungry than usual. Was going to sleep at 4 self inflicted or not? If it wasn't maybe you can try out some sleeping pills- Amy 1985 did that and it really helped her.

Almond milk... I am intrigued... just googled it and found it has half the calories of skimmed milk, but it sounds really tasty, like having it in coffee would be like having a hazelnut shot in a cappuchino. Does it taste nutty? Do you prefer it to normal milk?

Hey Ruth,

It was self-inflicted - had a late bbq and then was on my computer in my bed listening hilarious audio clips from . People hire him to dump their gf/bfs over the phone and it is just a hilarious interaction usually.

I slept good yesterday..but still feel a bit tired.

I absolutely prefer almond milk to regular milk. I've never really loved drinking regular milk anyways. There are a lot of almond milks on the market, so give them all a try and see which one you like. Some are thicker, some are thinner, some are nuttier, some are darker colored.

I like the original in this one :

I tried chocolate on a couple different brands and I really didn't like it. It's got a funny sweetness to it.

Give it a try and let me know how you like it :)

Hey hon! Sounds like a few days of spoiling yourself! Well...time to get back on track! You don't want me to have to come round and whip you do you?!?!

At least you are accountable though - old you probably would have been in denial about what you ate and how many calories! As for the weight loss - GREAT!! I have a theory though that what hits the scales is payback for what you did 2-3 weeks ago...Fantastic to be firmly in the 187s though! You are catching me up!
