Bad Feet Has Ruined My Life - Need to get healthy again.

another day with no exercise:

food:

breakfast - almond milk + cereal + banana ~300 cals

snack - cherries ~100 cals

lunch - egg whites + cheddar cheese + 1 toast + tortilla chips ~600 cals

dinner - cajun chicken burger + tomato soup ~ 700 cals
- apple pie + ice cream ~ 500 cals

total ~ 2200 cals.

Another bad day - 4 in a row.

I tried to bike today but my kneecap kept feeling funny, tried to stretch it out but it kept feeling funny when biking so I stopped. I did end up taking a walk around the beach after dinner for about 30 min.
 
ugh! 188.8 (+1.2)

But I feel bloated today this morning..so more bowel movements still acoming!

that's 4 'bad' days in a row regardless of still dropping a little bit in weight - this is how i end up going off track thinking I am still losing weight eating (insert not as healthy food) and so I keep doing it. And today...I have a mah jong evening - yes all asians play mah jong! It's really one of our first mah jong nights...just because at my bbq on sunday..some of us started playing for fun and we had a blast so we're coming together again to play for a little money to make things interesting!

Upcoming weekend/obstacles:

-MYSELF - i've lost my focus..not completely..still watching my diet when I can...packed my lunch today..

-FRI - another mah jong night
-SAT - trip to the US for shopping/eating
-SUN - paintball and eating something with other food and nutrition friends ( we all eat like pigs ironically ...)

Ken! I now know your problem! You have far too an active social life! You must ditch your friends and sit at home at the computer...oh hold on...hmm...that's the receipt for PUTTING ON WEIGHT!

"Trip to the US for shopping" made me laugh - I had visions of stinking-rich-Ken hopping on a private jet to New York for a days shopping with an entourage. Then I remembered that you were in Canada!!

Serious!! I wanted to exercise today...and I just couldn't..ended work late and then came home and it was Mah Jong time! We ate some noodles and fried rice and got to it. My friend also brought some chips..which I ate!

Sighhh!

I don't actually own the jet though jjjay, just rent it out occasionally when I want to treat myself. :D

Tomorrow is really the only day I have time to exercise...! so bad.. so bad..

Some coworkers today said I look thinner. Little do they know, I am pigging out these days.

Get back in gear. Stop pigging out and refocus!! I want to see some SMOKING HOT "after" or "during" pics of you posted darn soon!

Another day..no exercise and not the greatest eating. Just had no time to exercise.

Food:

breakfast - cup o' almond milk + cereal ~150

lunch - little bit of noodles ~ 300

snack - carrots and cherries ~150

dinner - fried noodles and fried rice and water melon ~1000

mah jong snack - chips. ~300

total ~ 1900

Not horrendous but I ate those chips late..

mah jong was fun tho...bad week..mulligan!
 
Oops.....Totally forgot I had made plans for authentic italian pizza with some friends today. So looks like the next 4 days are filled with social activities...which may mean trouble...I CANT GO BACK OVER 190 for good... ><

Hopefully I can get my exercise in before that!!

Ok...Please STOP bad eating...Its ok once a week but not so many days in a row.YOu are going to put that weight on again and its a shame cause u have work hard for that.
Please take a breath and THINK of where u want to BE...Health wise and body/hot/sexy wise!!!
I starts like that.Loosing control a few days in a row,not working out,then eating a bit more day by day and BAM you've killed your diet.
Now FOCUS please and i want to hear about more happy weight loss days!

42 min biking

Food so far:

Cup o' cereal + almond milk ~150 Cals

Peanut congee ~500 Cals

Blackberries ~100 Cals

Couple sushi rolls ~300 Cals

1050 Cals so far with 42 min biking.

I still have a late pizza dinner tho.

I really haven't been packing my lunch much this week. That's been a big weak spot. Went to Costco and loaded up on berries which I like for lunch.

Thanks jjjay and Jasper. I kept thinking about getting thE exercise in for you two! Thanks for trying to keep me in check!

I'll see how I hold up tonight!
 
We ended up eating around 9 PM which is pretty late.

I shared 2 pizzas with 3 guys- they are the authentic italian pizza - thin and not too much cheese or toppings but really tasty ingredients :)

As you can see, it's quite limited in the amount of meat (a lot of those toppings are mushrooms) and cheese.

I ate 4 slices...calorie wise pizza hut thin crust has ~200 calories a slice..but i know for sure they are heavier with more cheese/meat.

So a high end guess is 800 cals.

Total for the day 1850 cals + 42 min of biking.

It's not wonderful but at least I got the biking back today.
 
Glad you've got some berries for lunch "to fail to plan is to plan to fail". Although I can't talk, I will follow my own advice right now.

Decisionmaker on here is always out and about doing fun stuff, she says that sometimes she feels like she has to choose between being healthy and having a life. She is doing really well atm, and you can too. If the long workouts aren't working for you, maybe you could just do 10 minutes in the morning, and 5 minutes in the evening or something, it all adds up. I am so sad to see the numbers on the scale are going up for you. Don't eat junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Ruth - thanks ruth, I should check out her Diary. My exercise is usually biking keeping a 130+ Heart Rate..and it makes me sweat a lot so I'd feel the need to take a shower afterwards if I were going out or before sleeping or work or whatever. I'll try to walk more...

My problem is definitely the momentum of eating bad... It's mah jong night again today..but I'll plan somethign for myself...

Can't believe I'm steadily back over 190..!!

It's just really hard socially to eat almost nothing when you're out with lots of friends. As a guy, it just doesn't fly to order a salad or barely eat anything when you sit around for 2 hours and everyone else including the girls are digging into their food as well.

I don't know. I'll have to find some sort of balance. The good news is I'm going to keep it at, I know that..through good and bad....
 
No excuses but I had another bowel movement.. It's the late night eating!

It is sad to watch when I resort to bowel movements as critical updates to weight loss!

But in all seriousness my everyday scale consistency relies on being 'empty' every morning!!

I'll do good today and it should go down doubly good...

Try to think,figure out some kind of meal of snack to have when you have people around,or when you eat out with friends.You dont have to NOT eatbut choose your food better.Cause everybody is having pizza doesnt mean you must sit and stare.Have a slice and serve a big salad as well for all you guys.When out and al are eating burgers and fries with mayo,skip the mayo,have less fries and maybe choose something else that burger like a chicken something.
Also you seem to know in advance when you're meeting other friends for activities that involve food,so the days before the event,exercise more,eat the healthiest ever,so the calories of the events wont add up.
There is a way to get around this,and you'll find it!im sure you will!!!!
 
Today was TOUGH on me mentally.

I kept thinking I am hungry...I want to eat. I smell this. I smell that.

During most of mah jong, there was a box of buns that I brought from my bakery for my friends to eat during. I kept smelling it and wanting to eat it. It was so tempting. I almost gave in. I waited about 3 hours till we took a break and then I went to wash some berries and eat some instead.

Food:

BF: Almond milk + cereal ~150 cals

(offered fried rice noodles by some coworkers to share - looked so good..said no)
Lunch: Blackberries + raspberries ~200 cals
(offered leftover dim sum as shown 2 posts before right after)

Had a long meeting and during the meeting till almost 6PM - we had some sandwiches + fries out. I had :

Dinner: half a chicken with bacon sandwich and 3 fries. (these sandwiches are very small...not like western restaurants. They are made with regular sized toast/bread but still have mayo in it. ~ 500 cals

Snack: Some broth soup with little vermicelli and cucumber/mushroom ~ 150 cals
(insert box of wonderful smelling pastries temptations for the rest of the night)

Snack: cup of blackberries & blueberries ~ 100 cals


Total 1100 cals -

This was SO much harder than any other day I've had on my diet. I think its knowing how easy it is to just give into temptation after so many days of eating too much.

I didn't exercise today - had no time in between work and mah jong.

Welp, I really hope my weight drops tomorrow. With my late bowel movements today and my roughest day yet!!!

Sat: going to the US. lots of walking..but also lots of temptations!
Sun: Paintball + eating.
 
@ jasper - yeah I totally need to figure something out socially. I just equate good times with pigging out amongst friends. Food is such a big part of my life. I will study up on decisionmakers journal when I get some time! Thanks for all the support jasper. I think of you as well as the others that are trying to keep me on track and it helps a lot :)

Well done for resisting those buns, you are a glutton for punishment aren't you! You've had a FABULOUS day food-wise, and your back on track, YEAH!

Dm also has a injury that is preventing her from playing sports :( She is on the Swiss netball team, she can't play at the moment, but she is coaching. She also basically just upped and left everything to cycle all around europe with her husband. So, you could probably relate to her in that sense as well.
