Back... with a Vengeance!

As long as it's realistic and u r happy!

Wow i was waiting for u to write something lol.

A short term goal can also be.... Stop eating after _pm.
That's one of my goal now. Giving myself a month to adjust. So far I've been good for 8 days already!:p

8 days? That is awesome :)

I haven't eaten anything yet but I still have that feeling. About to go into the kitchen to grab another drink though. All that food is gonna be calling to me!... Wish me luck! rofl

EDIT:
Ok I ate something,

BUT it wasn't bad! muahaha..
It was just one spicy hot little banana pepper. Barely 2calories.. so I basically burned it off just walking back to the computer. It was good though... nm that my tongue is now burning up :p heh

HHahah... i survived the 8 days via this forum. Browsed for first 5 days.... then joined in 3 days ago i think. Keeps my mind focused and excited abt healthy living!

U go get that water! Only grab a glass of plain water yah! Nothing more!:p

I'm off to a late start today! Instead of starting at 1pm doing my exercises.. it's gonna be around 2pm before I start.
Just woke up later than intended today and had housework to do :)
My stomach is feeling a bit wonky atm so.. will help to start later just in case I have to take a trip to the bathroom  heh
Those banana peppers always do this too me though! If I eat one late at night, next morning my stomach is always pitching a fit. You would think I'd learn by now not to eat them! Well.. guess it's better late than never to learn heh.

Oh yeah... and my back is all better! YAY!
I was getting a bit scared last night when I went to bed and my back was still hurting. Not as much, but enough to keep me worried.
But I woke up today and feel great! A tiny bit stiff but other than that...just peachy :D

I'm gonna do TJ Learn & Burn again today.
Next week I'm gonna go by the little chart thing that came with the program.
Has a calender with each week suggesting which workouts you should do.
Tomorrow if things are going well.. I'll be doing the 20min workout :)

WOO! Just got done taking my shower after the workout and I feel great!
I could feel a little soreness in my sides when doing some of the moves, but I kept at it!
I'm still as uncoordinated as ever, but I am gonna do the 20min workout tomorrow.

Also can't wait to put the treadmill into the living room. Really excited to start a treadmill workout as well.
Really wish we could get an elipital instead, but we paid alot for the treadmill and well.. elipticals aren't exactly cheap either :p heh
So guess I'm stuck with the mill.....

Anywho! I'll be back later to report how many calories I've had today :)

Ha. I love that we all have goal clothes. Mine is a size 14 khaki circle skirt with pockets. I can get it zipped, but it's not exactly comfortable. So my goal is to have it fit well. That's the short term goal. And after that it's like, a series of jeans I want to fit in, the smallest being like a size 15 that still runs super small I'm too terrified to even try on. But man. We rock.

And the treadmill sounds like a great idea. You could watch TV and walk. I had a friend who did that (she jogged, actually) and she lost like 10 lbs (she wasn't overweight like at all) and she got to catch up on her infomercials.

Anyways. Keep on going! You're doing the right things, and eating less and better gets easier. A year ago I would never have been able to eat mainly veggies and CCs, or go without soda and frappachinos. And yet here I am. It's taken me a while because I too lack iron will, but it's cool knowing that you really aren't craving that cheese enchilada, and that you really want a salad or veggie medley instead. It's also trippy. But man, you can do it!

I just need to find places for all the boxes now occupying the love seat that's currently back here :p At least a temporary place while the other love seat makes it's way heh.
I am just UBER excited about starting the treadmill! Even though I know as soon as I step on it I'm gonna be bored to tears :p rofl
My bf did an hour a day on the treadmill for about 2 weeks. Didn't change his eating or anything and he lost 15lbs just doing that! He'd do like 10min spurts of jogging, then slow jogging, then walking.. whatever his body was telling him to do... ya know?
Now he just cut out most of his snacking and he's lost another 5lbs :) I'm so proud of him.

I am a bit jealous and embarassed though b/c I weigh more than him now. And jealous b/c guys seem to have it so much easier to lose weight. *shrugs*

Oh and I have these size 18 jeans that look like they're actually 16, maybe even 14. Someone definitely mislabeled them. I'll have to find them and put them up as my short term goal :D If I can get into them, I know I'm doing great! heh

Anywho!

I was bad today with dinner.
But dangit.... gorditas are just so damn yummy I couldn't hold myself back! Not fast food.... these were homemade :)
I did put alot of lettuce on the 2 that I ate though and left off the mound of cheese I usually put on them.

I also ate a little bit of the sweet potato casserole in the fridge. So my calorie count today is close to 2k or over 2k. Probably 2k-2.2k....

Oh I'm gonna have to make up for that this weekend!

Go find that jeans now! Heheheh.... sure it'll be a great motivator.

Glad yr bf is doing well. Maybe u can try his method too? Hahha. Sometimes i do that when I'm too lazy to move my legs.:p

I'm gonna go CRAZY at the grocery store on Sunday.
I'm gonna get me a ton of veggies so I can have healthy good snacks throughout the day that won't ruin my calorie counting.

I really wanna head to the korean grocery as well. Get me some kimchee and other yummy korean sides that I can munch on to give me a little variety.
OOO maybe even grab some of that fish jerky stuff (it's not called that, but it's basically what it is heh) as well!
It stinks to high heaven (extreme fishiness!) but it's SOOOO good!

No workout today.
I woke up UBER late and I just have so much housework to do.

I'm still sticking with my low cal though so it's all good :)
This weekend I'll hopefully have the treadmill in living room and I'm gonna be workin it out next week! WOO!
I dunno if I should do it every day though?
Think I should do it every other day? Do it when it feels right? Try for every other day? Or what?
Think I'll try every day and if it's too much for me I'll go for every other day. I'm gonna be starting off slow on it so every day shouldn't be a problem.

I did sneak a peek at the scale when I finally did wake. Actually I looked last night and then again this morning to see if it had changed.. and it did a little...

Last night the scale said I weighed in at 226.6.... and when I woke today (after eating something)... it said I weighed 226
I'm not gonna change my tracker thing though until monday until I weigh in officially cause this could just be.. I dunno.. a fluke or something o_O

Seriously. Today I was weighing myself while waiting for the water to get warm in the shower, and it was all "212.5, 212.5, 212.5, 188.5...188.5" And then I decided that it was posessed! But it's gone back to showing something that's reasonable. Man. I wish I'd lost 24 lbs. in a second. That'd be rad.

Anyways. My solution for late night hunger pangs is a big ol' glass of water, and if that doesn't work, a small to medium piece of fruit. It makes life bearable.

As for the walking, technically one should get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5-6 days a week, with one day off to let your body really rest. Weights should be done every other day. Cardio can be done as much as you want. If I were doing the Turbo Jam thing, I'd try to do that at least 3-4 times a week, and then walk at least 30 minutes a day on top of that. It's kinda what I'm doing now, where I do a weight training circut 3 times a week, and then do 30 minutes on the elliptical every day (which I'm thinking of increasing on my non-circut days).

And here's some advice from my sister regarding treadmills, who when she started running could run for a minute, and now can run 10k in under an hour. What she did was set the treadmill up in front of a TV, and scheduled 30 minutes for herself. She'd listen to music or watch TV or something, and she started out running just one minute out of the 30. She started sloooooowly building it up to two minutes, then three, etc... In a few months she was jogging the whole time. And now she's a crazy running person and went from a 10 to a 2/4 (she actually got down to a 10 from a 16 via workout videos that she did for like 30-45 minutes a day, then plataeued and started running). So like, that's what she told me. And this may be different for you, but me and my sister rely on music to be able to do it, because we get sick of ourselves. She likes angry music because I think it reflects her hatred of working out, but also her grim satisfaction of the whole thing. I like happy music with a good beat because I'm an escapist.

Either way, I really want you/us/me to succeed! We have almost the same amount to lose, we both hate how boys lose weight easily. You can do it, but don't hurt yourself! But stay active, even if it's just walking! Avoid the delicious gordita things, and I'll attempt to avoid the delicious chicken tacos (Mexican food will be our undoing!).

Hey! That's a great idea with the jogging thing. The 1min.. then up it to 2... etc etc...
I'm gonna have to try that! Thanks so much for sharing that :)

When the treadmill was in the backroom (that has no electricity now  ).. I used to listen to music while on it, but UUUUGH it's still so boring.
I need to watch a movie while on it or I'll start thinking about it too much, thinking about any sort of pain so it amplifies the feeling (in my mind) so I'll stop too early or not push myself like I should.. ya know?

I'm gonna be following the workout schedule that came with the TJ program.
I'm gonna redo week one of it again though since this week wasn't a full week of doing it.

So monday and tuesday is going to be Learn & Burn, then weds and thurs is 20minute workout. Friday-Sunday are rest days, but I'll do 30min-1hr treadmill on Friday and rest sat & sun. :)

As for snacking... well that's one reason why I wanna go to the korean store.
Get me some kimchee to munch on if I get hungry and I'll be good to go :D
All it is is napa cabbage with red pepper, salt and hmm.. maybe sugar depending on who makes it.
It's so good and spicy and when it gets old and ferments and starts getting this really sour taste.. you can make the yummiest soup from it with tofu & some sorta meat (usually pork) if you want, which will make a great dinner for me down the road! heh Well.. that is if I don't eat it all before then :p I'll have to get me a big jar of it :D

I was pretty darn good today with my food. I had 1600-1800 calories today :) I really hope after we go grocery shopping my calorie numbers will be coming down alot since the foods I'm gonna be getting will be healthier and support better eating heh.

OK.. I just weighed myself again... I swear I'm not a slave to the scale or anything heh. I was just curious after reading FatSuzi's post :p heh
And scales are just EVIL! First weight it showed was 227... ok that's fine... got back on it.. it read 225 Got back on it.. 225 again... got on it again... 227!.. Seriously... what the heck? The nonelectric one though kept the same weight... 226 or 227.....

Ok, so there was a little problem with moving the furniture today.
We got the nasty cruddy sofa out of this back room (where comps are)... that was no problem.
But it seems as though our house is crappier than I thought b/c the doorways AND the hall isn't wide enough for the furniture in the living room to be moved through!
God I hate this house so much. The design of it is horrible and the wiring is just so messed up that most of the outlets don't even work.

Anyways, we just moved the treadmill back here with the computers. I'm afraid to turn it on though b/c I just know it's going to make the power shut off in this part of the house. *sigh*
I'm gonna try it though and see how it goes.
Going to have to at least leave my computer on so I can watch a movie while I'm on it since the tv back here is UBER old and dvd players don't work right with it......

*crosses fingers*

I don't have a good feeling about this though.......

I LOVE KIMCHI!!!!!! SUperb! Good for losing weight i heard. Heheh...

Yeah I read that too.. that Kimchee was supposed to help you lose weight?
Think that's just something korean's say though to make them feel proud about their food heh. (I'm half korean btw so don't take offense to that anyone heh)....
Speaking of being half korean.... that was really hard growing up and getting bigger and bigger.
My mom is so tiny.. height and weight and she eats a ton! I mean... she can just scarf down food like there is no tomorrow and she doesn't gain any weight.
My mother actually told me once a few years ago that she didn't like fat people. I just looked at her and asked her if that meant she didn't like me. She never answered me though, not that she really had to.

Oh well.. enough about mother issues :p heh

I actually did pretty well today with my calorie intake! YAY!
I should've spread my calories throughout the day but with moving furniture around and getting frustrated with that mess, I wasn't even thinking about eating. So I had alot of my calories during dinner.
Cal intake for the day around 1500-1600 :)

Found a link to one site so far that says Kimchee ( I know I keep spelling it that way.. i can't help it heh)
supposedly helps you lose weight. Maybe to ppl who aren't used to the flavor or something...

It's # 13 on the list... if you dont wanna click it.. here's what it says...

13. Kimchi This spicy Korean delicacy, made of fermented cabbage, garlic, and chile peppers, may help weight-loss efforts, says preventive medicine researcher Lorraine Faxon Meisner, Ph.D. Anecdotal evidence suggests its strong flavor suppresses appetite and prevents overeating, she says. Find it in Asian supermarkets or natural food stores, and eat a small amount as a side dish with meals.

:)

Hiya Im checkin into journals and here I am in yours...I absolutly love your screen pic...and watching hat you eat and adding exercise, is the best way to start...good luck to you and it is good that you came back to start again...COLOR]

A skinny cow is an ice cream sandwich that has like, 150ish calories in it and is low fat and they're pretty big, too. So when it's like "RAVENOUS ICE CREAM CRAVING" having one of them really makes life ok.

And my dance class is a Belly Dancing class. Oh I am so retarded in it. Ah ha ha. But it's fun. Even though my calves were cramping last class. Ah well. Hopefully belly dancing will help me lose said belly. That'd be a dream come true in so many ways.

And I swear to all that is holy that scales are generally posessed. I'm just going to live in denial though and tell myself that mine isn't lying to me. Anyways. Keep on keepin' on, and have fun grocery shopping (shop with your head, not with your stomach though, 'cause when that happens I end up with crazy things that are not good for me).
