Thanks Pequin, you are a great inspiration to me.

Thanks T2 it is Friday, which is good, I hope the day goes well. I'm trying to keep busy and be productive and hope to not get drawn into fight with husb.

Ran at Memorial Park today. So that's two sets of exercise plus the little bit of weights. Wore me out a little bit.

Improved my time. It was beautiful there. Low humidity, upper 60s, sunny. October the way it should be in Texas. 3.1 miles in 31:39 (mm:ss). 5.88 mph and a 10:21 mile pace. Usually I'm at a 10:40 pace. DID NOT STOP JOGGING THE WHOLE WAY. That's my new goal when I'm at Memorial Park. Then I don't feel bad about just walking and chatting with my g/f around the neighborhood.

Hey There Patty!

I just had to note:
3.1 miles in 31:39 (mm:ss)

That's what I did this morning (with Pam) OMG it kicked my butt - and we weren't jogging...the woman is a speed demon walking machine

Anyway, it sounds like you're having a good night, and I hope you were able to two step that argument!

Take care hon, and have a good weekend!

YOU ARE SUPER WOMAN!
Congrats on the improvement patty, that's fantastic. *does a half assed cartwheel.... half assed only because I'm not coordinated enough to perform a proper one... or full assed lol)

Wow Patty, you're doing awesome! I really need a double stroller so I can get out and do that every day...maybe then I could catch up to you and M2M!:)

hurry dariqueen! we'll wait.

good afternoon back at ya OHD.
rosered thanks for stopping by. are you walking too?
mike please send photo of you doing cartwheel. haha
pequin i dare not take on m2m. she'd walk circles around me.

Jogged today at Memorial Park. SLOOOOOOOOOW. I was sore from pushing it and planned to just walk there today, but after .2 mile couldn't stand it any more and started over, jogging this time. JOGGED THE WHOLE WAY.

OMG my butt and legs and even inner thighs hurt. It's a good hurt though. Time was 34:12. See, much slower, but still ok.

Lol yep patty im walking but compared to you and m2m im just a novice mate. :D

You are doing excellent love keep it up.

I am still so tired and sore from my previous two days of pushing it. Still will get a long walk in today - gotta burn those calories.

Am doing some more housecleaning today. Am giving away all my girls' outgrown clothes - that's 5-6 big bags, hiring a friend to help me organize our office (this is a BIG task), and going through some cluttery corners of the house to gather stuff for the donation box.

I wish I could attach a huge vacuum to the door of my house, suck everything out of it, and start over. aaaahhhh that would be nice.

okay, got the first walk in. will do another walk later. 4.1 miles in 57:34 (4.27 mph and 14:02 pace). not real fast, but i was drinking my coffee the first two miles. :)

off to tackle the study now.

Hired a friend to help me "clean sweep" the study. 6 hours we spent on it. Not quite finished.

Walked again tonight. 4.1 miles again, same route. Around 55 minutes I think, I acidentally stopped my watch though, so I don't know for sure. Wasn't hard except for the leg starting to hurt, just had a lot of thinking to do, so why not walk while thinking????

Left leg started to feel a pull around 2.5 miles, so I hope I didn't strain it.

My 5k is on Saturday, figure I'll get in a run at the park Monday and Wednesday, then just walk the other days.

Also did weights tonight.

SUNDAY
Warmup: my walk
Upper: 1 set, 12 reps, 10 lb weight - bicep curl (2 sets of this one), shoulder press, dumbbell chest press on ball, lateral raise, tricep kickbacks (+ 5 extra pulses at top of lift). 14 modified pushups
Core: 55 seconds - plank, 25 crunches
Lower: none (unless I count the 8.2 miles I walked today, geez)

I'm going to feel it tomorrow.

Oh I definitely have a problem. I've been a pack rat since I was a kid. It's hard for me to throw anything away. My house is so cluttered.

Lately I've decided to tackle it. It's a daunting task because I have so much stuff. That's why I hired someone to help me with the study.

I'll tackle one room (or one corner, or one cabinet) at a time until I've gone through the whole house.

It sort of feels like a cleansing ritual for me, like I'm letting go of things for the first time. I don't know the pyschological reasoning behind it.

Here's one article I found:

PARADE Magazine | Are You A Pack Rat?

Some people collect massive amounts of paper, some are compulsive shoppers, some collect excessive free or garage sale items (or stuff put out for trash), some collect animals, and some just can't throw away anything. I'm just in the last category.

This part of the article resonated with me:

...explains Jerome Bubrick of the Bio-Behavioral Institute in Great Neck, N.Y. “They’re afraid to throw it out ‘just in case’ they may need it.” According to psychologist Randy Frost of Smith College, hoarders “feel a heightened sense of responsibility for making sure an object’s potential isn’t wasted. They become attached to it, as if it were a part of their identity.”

It also says hoarding may be a symtom of those with OCD behaviors, and I had my share of those as a kid....though no one ever knew.

P.S. I walked 33 minutes this morning.

I'm married to a pack rat - it's ugly!

I got a Guiness in last night, that should really count for a positive note don't ya think? :D

Hope you're having a good day patty!

Did not walk yesterday. Probably will not go today. I think I overdid it and my body needs a rest.

Thanks for stopping by T2. It's nice to see you back.

M2M and Pequin, I'm coming by to see you shortly. Thanks for popping in.

Well yesterday was a hard day. Husb and I talked about separating.
