Back again......hopefully for longer this time!!!

Well another week goes by, still no ale what is good

So tonight I had chippy as we were late and I fancied it, my treat meal is saturday so this is going to be a one off twice treat meal, or might skip the other treat meal at the weekend, to keep it only as one for the week. but as tommorow is ment to be weigh day I did it tonight instead of tomorrow morning, and anotgher 4 pounds down, whats great :)

Another week bites the dust, and three more pounds gone

Was hard tonight not to have a chinese, as it's me stepdads 70th, but had a couple fishcakes from chippy and a nice jacket and beans, could of done better than the fishcake but still better than what the rest had

On a down side started getting head ache last week or so

Pissed off with meself, first slip, had chippy twice on the trot for tea, defo going back to on a friday or saturday night only, going to miss this weekend out tho, might have oven chips. Hopefully when weigh day come on monday, I havnt gained and can wright this week off. On a plus point still no ale, came close tonight but pleased to say I didnt surcome to temptation

Still no ale!?! You go boy!! That's a fabulous thing to have accomplished! I know that I find it so hard not to have a glass of wine here and there! So you are determined and working hard!! And -22lbs! WOW!! That's great! Your hard work and great dieting is paying off :)

I'm glad to hear that your chest pains were nothing serious!!

How are things going for you since the 23rd!? :)

Hope all is well!!

Yep, the no alcohol is hard, but I know I needed to stop it, the amount I wwas drinking was scary realy,

Well since last update Ihaven't had chippy and have been doing pretty well.

Lost 2 pounds this week, what I'm pleased about, as for some reason I thought I was going to not lose any this week.

Going to be stoping at a family friends house in spain for a couple months, leaving on friday, so hopefully this will help with the weight lose and give me a extra boost to stay on track.

Hope you are ok, I'll have to get round to having a look at others diarys soon.

Just been thinkIng about how much weight I want to lose by the end of the year and have set a goal of gettIng under 400 pounds, so 90 Pounds to lose, what if I have worked out right is 2.3 pound a week, a doable amount I think, obviously any thing more is a bonus, but know if I don't reach that amount not to be disappointed and carry on

Going to attempt to walk round the block Inabit, as I have wanted to do it before I go away tomorrow

Keep up the great work! Its great that you are taking out the ale, which definitely helps with the weight loss! Its great that you have a goal, it will help you keep track for sure! Try and make monthly and weekly goals to help make it more doable :)

Hey JL,

Just wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind comment in my own thread :)

I glanced over your post here and your determination is really inspiring! Congrats on everything you've accomplished so far! :)

Hang tough and keep it up! I'll be checking your thread for updates :D

Pleased to say I made it round the block, didn't need to stop either

That's great!

In fact, that deserve some roof raising action *raises roof*

Congrats on that goal! You should be proud! I can't wait to see another update and hear how you're doing!

I'm still impressed by your lack of alcohol! I would have failed that immediately!

:seeya:

Cheers, I have fancied a drink, but know I need to stay strong and not have any or i'll be back on it big time.

Got to Spain now and weighed me monday and lost 2 pounds this week.

Well no swimming yesterday as it was to cold, but did get a 30 min walk in, quite glad I never went swimming yesterday as I burnt my shoulders the day before.

I"ve just read your whole diary. Its great you are tackling your weight now. I didn't catch your age but i suspect you are still fairly young. So this is the time to deal with the alcohol addiction. I won't go into detail unless you ask but i worked for a short time as a personal carer. One day i had to go and help shower a man who was 66 and an alcoholic. I tell you it was really not a pretty sight. He will not live long and how he lives is really disgusting. This is the future for most people who allow alcoholism with depression to rule their life. I hope you are quitting alcohol if you can't do it in moderation.

I am basically quitting my addiction which is sugar. I can't do sugar in moderation. I find it easier this way. I learnt it from when i quit cigarettes 13 years ago for the sixth and last time. However, it took some years and an overdose of a sugar only diet when i was in india for me to decided to quit sugar the first time. This is my second time and i mean to make it a lifetime habit.

If you want some meal ideas have a look at my page. Its called "i'm aiming for 50kg" I give recipes for things like fried rice, ratatouille which is stewed vegetables and lots of other healthy options. I'm 47 and have been up and down with weight all my life. And i am sick of it. This is it!

Although our weight starting points are very different, we do battle the same sorts of issues.

I think walking around the block daily is a good start for you. There's no point doing too much exercise when you have such a lot of weight since its really hard on your joints and organs. Swimming is good, as is cycling on a machine. Wait till you get down to something reasonable before starting an intensive exercise program. That's what they do on the cohen diet (as per this forum) and i think it makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for looking through the thread.

I'm 30, so still fairly young, I have not touched a drop of alcohol since the start of all of this and don't plan on having any anytime soon, as I know I carn't do it in moderation.

I won't be doing mass amounts of exersice as I phsicly carn't atm, but slowly doing more and more, and am walking for 30 odd mins a day in the morning and while I'm in Spain going swimming in the afternoon when its hot enough, when I get back to England I'm planning on getting a recliner exercise bike.

Done my walking today, but left it abit late and was a little to hot, but on the plus side means its hot enough to go swimming later.

Ill have a look at your thread and recipies a little later, and good look on quiting the sugar.

Correction...

Walking 30mins in the morning and swimming in the arvos is a good start. Great too that you are committed to controlling the drinks.

I just have to correct a really dumb mistake on my last post. I wrote 50kg instead of 59kg. I always make bad typos like that. I know its not important but i don't want anyone reading my post to go "Huh? How mad is she?" for too long.

Just done my swimming and did a extra 10 lengths, it says it will be hot tomoroow as well so good for swimming but the next 2 weeks are not looking good for swimming but I will still be able to do the walking.

Going to have a jacket spud for tea in abit.

As predicted it was too cold to swim, and I have messed me knee upb and its swallon, so going to rest it and hope its better by monday, had a banging headache all day today as well, so not the best of days but still did well on the eating front.

Weigh in day and I've lost 5 pounds this week, whats great but think its going to slow down this week as my knee is bad and carnt walk and its to cold to swim, but am going to go help empty the garage in a min
