So here I go. A weight loss diary for inspiration. If nothing else, writing things down will help.
I'm 19, about 5'6"
SW: 185
CW: 179
TW: 140
For now, I'm going to go 10 pounds at a time. So my short-term goal is 169. Eventually I want to reach 140, and see where I am when I reach 140. I'm going more by size, so I'd like to be in the single digits, a size 8, and maybe shoot for a size 6 ultimately. I don't want to be really skinny, just healthy. Slim, but not sick looking, or muscular.
I've been calorie counting, trying to eat less, and healthier with a few snacks in between.
Lots of yogurt w/ fruit on the bottom! Yum!
Obstacles: I'm unhappy at college right now, so I get depressed. Working on maybe transferring, hoping for a new start. Also, I eat compulsively. I've noticed I can go for about 3 days before I binge. I'm seeing a counselor. And I'm trying to figure out what triggers my binges. I think it's just overall unhappiness.Trying to work on that.
I need to start exercising. Definitely will work on that.
One small step at a time, and right now I'm working on eating.
So food goals for today:
Yogurt and cereal in the morning
Salad w/ grilled chicken for lunch
Hamburger for dinner
100 calorie pack of popcorn for evening
and 60 calorie piece of dark chocolate
I'm an apple shape, so I have a large stomache, and really big thighs, and a large chest. I tend to gain all over, so I'd like to lose fat in my stomache, thighs, upper arms, chest, face, and this is strange, but I'd like to lose some muscle in my calves.
So, I've officially started losing weight, I hope everything goes well. Wish me luck!
