Ascendency

Weighed in at 314 officially. Better than last week's weigh in for sure. Hope this will finally break 313 this week.
 
Thanks you guys for the encouragement. The past week's been so physically exhausting as my job's been working me like a dog. My back has been killing me, but with the stuff I do i dont even have to go to the gym to get a good workout, I can do it at work, lol.

But so far, so good. I've been watching what ive been eating. And I hope the weight can go down a lot more by the week's end.
 
i'm glad you're seeing some positive aspects to your job. since our last talk, have you considered finding another job yet? Or are you content with this one for now?
 
Im pretty content. Half way through summer, so I'm not going to try to spend time to find another. It's an ok job, low paying but its ok for now. School starts soon so maybe my hours will get reduced or i'll quit for the semester. Looks good so far.
 
313 again for the week. This stubborn weight isn't going past 313! And my physical is in less than a week away :(. New goal I guess.
 
You were 314 a week ago, and 313 today - so you've lost another pound. Every pound is a victory, just keep trying and they'll keep coming off!
 
Thanks for the kind words. It's been difficult lately to keep my dinner shake meals for when I come home from work, I'm usually very hungry. I do sometimes just drink the shake and sleep, but sometimes I do eat, but not too much. I need to learn to control myself.

I'll try to focus more on that nexttime. :)
 
Weighed in at 314 again this week, but I slightly cheated last night. Went to watch Superman with a friend of mine, had some soda :(, then went to an Italien restaurant for dinner and had lasagna. I thought coming in at only 314 wasn't bad, as it seemed to be the dteady weight this week.

I had a physical checkup yesterday, weighed in at 314, I didn't make my goal of breaking that dreaded 300 lb mark, but its ok. The doctor saw my drive to lose weight, and the only thing he gave was encouragement. He told me to lose 1 pound a month, and keep it off, and he'll be happy.

I have another appointment with him on sept 1st, I do hope I can drop to 299, but highly doubt it. But whatever weight loss should be ok.

So, new goal:

Come Sept 1st, I'll try to aim for 299, but not go above 314.
 
Thanks C, I see you're doing excellent on your part as well, congrats :).

I figure, since it's a new goal, why not a new weigh-in day for the week. I'd like to get the ball rolling and have my weighins at Monday. My days off for the week from my job are Thursdays and Fridays, then I weigh-in on Saturday. I'd like to weighin when I had a rough weekend of work, so I might see the best amount of loss.

So, here we go:

Current - 7.17.06 : 312
New Goal - 9.1.06 : Less than 300

So I got over 5 weeks to try and make this goal. If I can try to lose 2-3 pounds a week (which seems reasonable) I should be able to break that barrier.
 
Thanks, I really hope too. I gave in my 2 weeks notice letter at work. Gonna have my last month off to focus on hanging outside more and get a tan before classes start on the 30th. Looking so forward for the semester to begin. :)

This is my first trip into your diary. We have very similar stats I noticed. congrats on the lb loss. A lb is a lot even though it doesn't seem like it, but one leads to 2, then 3 and so on. You are on the right track.

I am also starting classes in sept. What are you taking?

Yea I've struggled for the past 2 months or so tod rop anything, hopefully I have broken through that plateau and can now finally get under 300. I know it's a bad habit but I do step on the scale everyday, and this week has been really really good. It must've been the visit to my doctor that got me this newfound motivation.

I'm an accounting major. 18 credit units this semester, so it's going to be awfully stressful. But I look forward to it, I have actually missed school during the summer lol.

I'm also taking 18 credit hours this semester except that I am an education student. It's a busy semester but it should be interesting.


You are doing what you need to do by weighing everyday. It works for you, so good on yah. I try to wait until fridays because that is what works for me.

You're doing great and you'll be through this plateau and be under 300 in no time.
 
Thanks. I weigh myself everyday but don't record 'til my official recording day, which before was Saturday mornings on an empty stomach and after using the restroom. I switched to Mondays, so I get the "beginning of the week" feeling, etc.

cool. :) careful tanning though. don't turn pink... or worse... black. :eek:
that means u stayed out in the sun WAY too long. and u're not just done, you're now burnt and overcooked. ;)
 
lol, I wouldn't worry about me turning too dark. A year/two ago I was quite pale from playing too much video games and stayin in all day.
