Cohen's Lifestyle Anyone from Singapore?

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
Totally agree with Soul84, best check with the consultant first. From my experience, the "do not exercise" reminder is very much due to the low blood sugar level you have while on the the program. You may feel unwell, "see stars", faint etc if the intensity of the exercise gets too high. Best put off the exercise until you have completed the program, but you know your body best so it is very much up to individual but do make an informed decision whether to exercise or not.

Towards refeeding, you may get to seeing "stars" more often i got some of that. But i did not experience the always hungry feeling like most of the participants in the forum, that is also a sign that your body is telling you that it needs refeeding. Best talk to the consultant about it.

As for the loose skin, depending how much you have lost, i lose 8 inches off my waist and yes! skin is loose around there :rotflmao: but i am a guy, so not too concern abt it :) You can try taking Omega 3 (fish oil) to tighten the skin :) it helps. perhaps engage one of those expert confinement lady from Indonesian to do a "jemu" massage. My friends all booked such package for their wife after they gave birth?? Anyone can give some solid grounds to this type of treatment, please share. Thanks!

stay sharp and enjoy your new body :)

Sunny

Hi Tuberose,

Nice to hear from a fellow singaporean too. and i am also kiasu type.
Hehe.. i think thats what makes us singaporeans. I am glad to hear that you are doing well on the program.

Don't worry about the slow down of the fatloss...its normal. The consultant told me that the fat loss slows down when you are nearing your goal weight. Don't let this get you down ok:)

btw, i think u should check with the consultant before taking up any exercise.
if they say its ok, then go ahead. because i remember her telling me that if you start exercising it will alter your weightloss program or something like that.

so best to ask them first.

God bless you.:jump:

Oh....i haven't started my refeeding yet.....sad to say after my Bintan trip, i went for business trip for almost a month. Sad to say, ive gain back all the weight i lost (thk im the first case in history - feeling tell me that). It really impossible for me not to deviate. Imagine, how ur client will thk when they offer you food and you have to attend their entertainment program. Tell them im on diet???? I can't offend their goodwill. Maybe, ppl will say i take this as a reason. Ive to be bk to the program again....hopefully can drop ASAP. I dunno wat the result will turn out to be....but have fix an appt to see the consultant........Im really very sad and depressed over this situation now. I put in so much effort and so near my goal....now everything is ruin..........the rest out there, don't make such mistakes like me...

BabyJO,
You are not alone. I have deivated alot as well and I have not been on my plan religiously. Felt super guilty abt it but yet I did not do anything to make it right. I only started gooing back on the right track once more today. Lets all hang in there and try to make it right this time. As for my weight deviation, I am not sure if i have put all back on but I know my clothes still feel pretty loose. Been so afriad to weigh myself as yet...

Hi all,

Fellow Singaporean here. Congratulations to everyone on their fantastic progress and amazing results! I'm about 2 and a half weeks into my program myself, with no deviations to date despite having had to attend several formal dinners (I just sniff the food), although the numbers on the scale have started to stagnate.

Small question. I read on the other forums that Splenda is allowed and commonly used by cohenites. A friend of mine *waves at friend who will probably read this* says Splenda tastes better than Equal. Any idea where I can get it in Singapore? I haven't been able to find it in the shops (which is weird coz I googled and it seems there's a Splenda plant on Jurong island??).

Hi,

Have been on Cohen's for about a fortnight but had to deviate a bit as I was sick. Now, I am back on track.

If you are from Singapore, do share some of your recipes/ products with me as I'm tired of eating similar dishes.

Regards,

Hi, I just signed up for Cohen and will be embarking my journey after CNY. I am planning to go for my blood test on eve of CNY. I weigh 75.6 yesterday when i went to the clinic, but after my colon hydrotheraphy and coffee enema today, I am down to 75kg, that is how much shit I have in my body.... wish me luck..

Good luck Samuei

This program is easy and works so well, but you have to stick to it 100%, do that and you will see results in no time..do you have much to lose?

I have not got my plan yet, I want to lose 20Kg to 55kg before my birthday on the 23rd April (hehe a little ambitious) but looks doable looking at the stats here. With this diet I can also save alot of money not eating out. hehehe

What's Xndo?

Does anyone know anything about the new Xndo weight loss clinic that was recently advertised in the past couple of months?

Anyone tried it?

Hi I'm from Singapore too! I just started Cohens, this is my 4th day. I'm also finding it extremely difficult to adjust to the simple flavouring. No sauces?! We're Asian man... how can no sauces? But I find if you sprinkle a lot of the dried flavouring from Mc Cormick, and use a lot of chilli padi (but don't eat it, so it doesn't count int your vege weight) Food is not too bad. In my opinion, chilli padi makes everything taste better.

So far, I've not lost even quarter of a kg.... so rather depressed. I read so many people being able to lose 1kg in their first few days.... I also have uch more than you to go. need to lose about 20kg. So yeah, it will be a long road for me.

You should have lost something during the first few days. I saw a drop of 400g after one day. Mostly water weight. Are you drinking enough water? Don't take too much salt too. Good luck on your journey! It's not easy, but it's so worth it!

Any weight loss program isn't going to be a skate in the park. If one is serious about losing weight AND keeping their health, one has to do the diet as it is written. Go to the Singapore site and use their recipes. Used dried spices (but remember, no more that a teaspoon of dried spices totally per day (3 meals combined). You can also go to this website as well: The lady is a Chef here in Singapore and her 17 year old daughter was on the program and she created these special dishes for her. Obviously you would have to substitute you own allowance when recreating the recipes for your own use.

There are no short-cuts, no magic bullets like most here seem to want.

Hi SundayMorningS,
Those recipes look amazing and I will be definately trying some of those.
Thanks
Beck

Ooo. I missed this before & will go check out the recipes. Thanks SMS!
Just be careful if doing the program here as some things are not allowed on our version of the program(or weren't when I did it last year- like olive oil- substitute some olive oil spray instead. Beware of commercial curry powders as some have gluten filler)
They do look delicious & I will try some out.
Cheers, Cate

Cate,

Agreed. Some of recipes are not 100% cohen's and would obviously have to be modified but most of them look okay. We do have PAM cooking spray here which we can use - comes in two versions, canola or evoo based. I used both types throughout the program. We can also use (according to our Singapore Clinic) a wipe of EVOO instead of spray. Even now, off the program, I cook with EVOO and usually use the spray but do keep a bottle handy as well.

As the lady did not say the recipes were cohen approved it is wise to substitute when necessary but I had to admit, some of 'em sure look good. I think they have to make allowances here in Singapore as the stupid retailers often get one shipment of something and when it runs out they haven't bother to order additional before it runs out. Stock taking? What's that! :D
