AnnaGail's Weight Loss Diary

Hi Anna,
Baby Reagan is very cute and looks pretty good for as small as she was.

I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Yesterday I stayed in my pj's all day because it was raining and cold! Nothing wrong with me I was just being lazy.

I live in Arizona. North of Phoenix in the foothills. The area I'm in is surrounded by hills and to the north mountains. 2 sides of this area are next to the National forest. It's a desert forest but it's a lot more lush and green where I'm at. I have views out of all my windows of the hills and mountains. I live on 1 acre and the end of my street 1/2 mile away is where the forest begins. The other end of the street is also 1/2 mile away and that is where the mail boxes are. So each day I walk to the forest end first then on to my mail box and that gives me my 2 mile walk. This street is hilly. Although my street is paved there are no sidewalks or street lights out here. At night you can really see all the stars. I don't live directly on the paved street but down a privet drive along with 5 others houses. It's really nice here and the winters are great!

Arizona, sounds nice! I stay in my PJ's alot when it is cold, lol

I seen my first hummingbird on April 11,2011. There were two today.

I took my little parakeet out on the porch to get some flesh air. I forgot to close his cage door. My dear husband and I were sitting on the porch talking and my little bluebird flew over and landed on my hand. It like to scared me to death. I capped my hand over him and put him back in the caged. He is a very dedicated little bird! He chose me over freedom. Wow what a bird!!

Hi Anna, I've just read bits of your diary. I really like the way you've done the log for watching your measurements change over the months. I should do that too.

I read about your leg problem. I wonder if yoga would help. Just now i found this really nice yoga video. You can do it at home. I think it will make your legs stronger. But because of the way you go through the program, if it hurts you can just rest when that happens and pick up at the next step. Worth a try maybe. If nothing else it does help you with relaxation, getting in tune with your body and so on.

Its great that you were able to pick up and get back on the diet program after a short break. I think when we get sick, stop eating and lose weight really quickly like that, we do tend to feel ravenous for a bit on way back to health. There are homones i think in the brain that cause this strange hunger sometimes. I haven't read about it for a while so i can't remember any detail. Wiki would have some good articles on it if you are interested.

Here's the yoga link i found
Free Hatha Yoga Video Class - My Yoga Online TV DVD

If you are not very flexible in the hips, groin and knees, the way to sit is put your backside on a folded blanket and put one foot in front of the other instead of crossing them, putting more strain on your knees. I say this because is hard to see that bit properly in the video until the end what's she's doing. This program, as is the case with all yoga, works all parts of your body.

Hi Anna,
Sounds like you have a little friend. How is everything going? Are you doing some walking? What's the weather been like there. I see on the news that the mid west and south east have gotten some pretty bad stuff. I hope it's all OK in your neck of the woods.

Hi fortyfour,

Thank you for the yoga link, this will be something I good enjoy doing very much. I may have to ease myself into being able to do the whole workout. But I think I will be able to do this. I did a little today and I will began Monday and I will let you know how I am doing. That was so thoughtful and sweet of you thinking of me. I have a DVD Based on the work of Pilate's with Denise Austin that includes Yoga! But I think the link you gave me will be more relaxing to do. It seems to get you in touch with your enter self, which I need at the present time.

I have been walking a mile a day, about three times a week and I am trying to get back to using the walk at home DVD. I have started reading, something that I don't do much of except for reading the Bible. I have read two books by Mary Higgins Clark. It took me 26 days, but I did it and I want to read all of her books that are at our Library. I read: "Where are the Children" and "Let me call you Sweet Heart". I started another one yesterday "The Second Time Around". I am starting to love to read, something I never did enjoying doing before.

I am not doing as good as I did with my died, but I am beginning to do better. Strange I am still trying to add fish to my died, lol. I had Tilapia for supper and vegetables yesterday. I have been eating pretty much what I want lately, watching portion size. My weight is 151.2 in the nude. I am doing better at keeping my weight now then I did last year. I will check Wiki out to see what kind of articles they have. Thanks again for the link on Yoga!

I will be posting more when fall begins, I hope all is well!

Hi Biblyn, I am doing much better. Yes I have been walking outside a mile a day about three days a week. The Temperature has been up and down in my part of the woods, and it has been raining today. It got dark out this morning before the rain started, the wind is blowing hard today. I went out with my Dh this morning to eat breakfast at Mac D's. I plan to get out of the house more this summer, I do want to get back to the gym. Starting in June the swimming pool will be open, and I plan to go to the gym, to the library, to the swimming pool and back home about three or four times a week, lol. That is my plan for now, anyways!!

The little blue parakeet is mine and he is trying his best to talk. Yes he is a good friend of mine.

Thanks for dropping by Biglyn and fortyfour.

I hope all of the WlF members are well and having a nice day!!

AnnaG

I finely joined the gym today. I walked 20 minutes at 3.5 and then I walked 5 minutes on 2.0. I plain to go back tomorrow and rejoin the aerobics class for seniors. I plain to go to the gym about 4 days a week.

Sound's like your doing much better. I hope the storms missed you. It's good to see you're able to walk and go to the gym.

I am doing much better, but staying fatigue, like usually this time of year, but I keep forcing myself to get up and at it, lol.

I haven't joined the aerobics class yet, but I have been to the gym three days this week and I have lost 1 pound. I grabbed the TV controller and put it on the Oldies.

I was planning to go to the Public Pool in June, but there is talk that it will be closed this year. I sure hope not! I enjoy going to the pool.

We had a little frost this morning and it was a little cold yesterday and this morning. But we will have warm weather next week.

Thanks Trusylver and BigLyn for stoping by! I hope you guys are doing well.

Last week three Tornadoes touched down in the town I live. It didn't hurt us! There were lots of trees up by the roots on the Ridge. A electric pole was cut in haft, over 4000 people were out of electric. On the Ridge we were out of electricity from Tuesday - Thursday even. Our water was off too and now we are on a boiled water advisory.

Good luck to all of you, and stay safe!!

I went swimming two days in a roll this week and I spent an hour at the gym. But I need to get off the junk food and get back to counting WW's points. I fixed a new Ticker and I started out with what I weight now and I need to lose 7 more pounds. I weight 152.6 and want to get down to 145.

I love going to the City Pool and I just love being around the young children. A little boy came up to me twice trying to talk to me. He has two teeth missing and he has a hard time talking. I didn't know haft what he said, but I know he was talking a bout the storm we had yesterday, so I just listen until he got finished, lol. Loved it!!

Well I am back to counting WW's point, but its the same oh same oh. I started out with 152.6 and today I am up a little 152.8, lol. I am hoping to lose a pound by Monday. We will see!! Going to the gym and back to the pool later on this evening. Adult swim aerobics class today. I will try and post my measurement too!

Well I am doing better with WW's points

Yesterday I had cereal, Ramen noodles, and watermelon, and 11/2 tacos. Today toast, 1/2 banana, watermelon, Ramen noodles. 11.5 points so far, 10.5 points left.
