I have been sick since Sunday night, but I am back to getting it together. I ate oats this morning and two slices of whole wheat bread. Back to a good start counting points.

5 minutes stretches and 1 mile with L. Sansone walk at home DVD. My leg still hurts a little, but doing fine.
 
I had two homemade blueberry pancakes with a little syrup.... 6.5 points

15minutes of stretches this morning.

Hi Tik, Yes feeling good and wanting to eat everything, lol.

My leg hurts bad though, and I can't walk very good at all, but I feel there is no need to go to the doctor. A man seen me today with my cane and said I had sciatic nerve problem, lol. He said he had to use a cane sometimes too. Maybe, I do have the symptoms, but the symptoms falls under a lot of other things. I went to Walmarts today and got in one of their scooters to run around in while I was there. Walmarts greeter, kidded me about having my cane, I told him my cane had many usages, lol.

I really thought I had the problem beat this time:leaving: oh well back to the drawing board:smash:

Glad to hear your not feeling sick anymore, but sorry to hear about your leg. It's too bad the DR's can't figure out what it's from. Is this a problem that just happens in the winter? Anyway I hope it stops hurting you.

Hi Biglyn, no I lose control of my leg at different times, but sometimes it is just worse then other times. Usually i have problems walking around August/September, with no pain.

I went to Urgent Care today and they wrapped my knee and put me on Prednisone and told me to elevate my leg and just rest for three days. I explained to the doctor at Urgent Care that this was an existing problem and he put one of his knees on my left foot and pulled my leg toward him and my lower back started to hurt. He wanted me to do a follow up with my doctor so he could have me checked out for sciatic nerve damage. Maybe they can get to the bottom of my problem. I my not be on the board for a few days.

Well the Prednisolone has not kicked in yet and I started with the icepack. If I don't get back to stretches and moving my leg I will be down for a while. I always push the exercise before, but this doctor says not to. I used lyrica once and plavix, but never really taken anything for the problem other then the two medicines and I had to quit taking them and I don't like taking the Prednisolone, but I have four more days worth of pills. I will see what my doctors says. If nothing is done, I will do what I always have done since
2005. Start over with light exercises and build myself back up again. Since I am down I want more to eat. I am trying hard to stick with counting points.

....awwww!! *hugs* I'm so sorry to hear about your leg! Nerve pain like that can be sooo painful!! Hopefully what your doctor prescribes can help you with the pain! And hopefully you can be back on your feet in no time!

I hear a lot that rest is really the best thing for that!

Don't get down about not being able to walk...i know you love doing that for your exercising! But i think there's stuff you can do sitting down to get your heart rate up! Shadow boxing is suppose to be great! if you get over the fact that you look kind of silly doing it, you could try that!!

I thank all of you for coming by and checking on me. I am not in pain now, and I am walking good again. I am trying to get back to counting points and exercising. I took all the prednisone, and I have thirteen more Naproxen to take. The medicene seem to be doing the job. I don't think I will have to do the MRI. If the medicene didn't work they were thinking about doing a MRI to see if I needed back surgery.

Tik, you know I won't give in to just exercising in my chair!

It has been so warm and pretty, but raining out today. I was doing fine walking one mile in the morning and then two in the even (Three miles). It got me down when I walked three miles in an upgrade area at one time two days in a roll (shouldn't have done that). I will just start over again, lol.

I hope all of you are doing good, keep up with your plan!

Glad to hear your walking without pain again. I hope the prednisone didn't make you gain weight. I've taken it in the past and it always made weight jump on me!

Here's to getting back to walking pain free!

So far I don't think the prednisone has cause me to gain. When I get down in by legs or back, I want to eat everything. I do think the prednisone kept me from being so fatigue. This morning I weigh 150.4. Time to get back in the saddle!:blush5: I started counting points again this morning and I have 9 points left for today. I drunk 20oz of water so far. I started back with Leslie Sansone's walk at home DVD. I started out with the Classic Walk (1 mile). I am going to stay with this walk this week and maybe next week to see how I do. I am going to do my measurements for March, I hope they haven't went back up.:seeya:
 
Hi all! I did a little Spring cleaning on my diary at the beginning. I want to keep the diary I have and show all my friends that visit my diary in the pass. So I deleted some of my old messages. Today I will start posting again, the foods that I eat and the exercises that I do.

3 blueberry pancakes with light syrup, 2 slices low sodium bacon (primrose), 1 banana, 1 cup bean salad, taco salad with lots of veggies. I did good, but cheated a little I had about a round tablespoon of crazy beans (jelly beans). But I did lose a little (.4 pounds).

Walked 1 mile with DVD and did the warm ups and cool down. No walking today, but I did do a little house cleaning: dishes, vacuum the living room, picked up trash out of bathrooms, and going through the closets in one of the bed rooms. I am putting away sweaters, lol. The bed is made, but I have pictures all over the bed and floor. When I clean I also stop and look at pictures that I had put away. Now I have a mess to clean up before bed time. I had breakfast this morning and I have 10 points left. I am trying my best to get back to drinking water. It is 1:25pm and I am getting very hungry. I have to fine something that won't cost me any points. Seeya!!
