Anke Says: Just Do It!

Ha, well my man is a clean freak... so I kinda gotta shape up or ship out... he's been getting a lil more lenient lately, which I'm grateful for! But now, for example tonight, there is a MOUNTAIN of dishes to do! At least I've got cute pink rubber gloves to do it with and I can see the TV reflection in the mirror while I'm washing, wahahaha! At the moment we're still dropping off and picking up laundry at my parents and paying their cleaners to do it for us :)

The cooking bit is not so bad, I'm always looking up recipes for yummy stuff on the net while at work :p ...but sometimes yeah, I just wanna chill... we got microwave meals for those nights (no more than one a week, hehe).

So today I'm going running again. Trops, the weather these past 2 weeks has been a bit rainy, on and off with really hot days in between (28 degrees celsius?). If there's lightning, the club doesn't run, but does a whole theraband session indoors. Looks like the weather's clearing up right now, but lots of rain is forecast for today, so will see if we run or not this evening. (Holding thumbs!!!)

On another note... been having cellphone troubles for the last 6 months every month or so, and finally the service providers are making good on the 2 year guarantee and gave me a new phone, whoop whoop! 2 years woulda been over in 6 months! :)

Alright, today I actually have to do some work, and there's a meeting from 1pm onwards, so the day will go smoothly. After that I'll go straight to running, then home to cook supper, then eat, then wash dishes, then go to my parents place to go with my dad to my mom (who is 30mins drive away) so I can pick up her car to use for my doctor's appointment tomorrow (which is 40 mins away). If you were wondering, I ride a scooter (moped) with a bad heart condition... it gives in on long roads... that's longer than 20mins.


So a busy day awaits.


Oh, I need to make a pledge on here that I will not smoke cigarettes today!!! THERE!!

Hmmm, how about another one... I will eat HEALTHY foods in sufficient amounts today!!!

Annnnd, I will FILL MY MIND with positive affirmations all day today!

But it must stop... so that is the reason for my public pledge... and I'm also busy reading up on quit success stories, and all the negatives, trying really hard to change my mindset of "It's not as bad as _____ (insert random other self-destructive activity in here) THAT'S NOT THE POINT DAMNIT!!!

Anke, my man is also a cleanfreak... my mom is very much Monica Geller, so as soon as I moved out I had this imperative need for mess around me, just to rebel against her. I love messyness, I feel most comfortable when I can dumo my stuff on the floor without having to think about it.
Now the man is a completely different story. He likes stuff to be put away, he likes it clean, he likes his desk and all his stuff on the desk to be in geometrical symmetry. The only thing I do like "tidy" is the doors of closets and cupboards, I like them closed and that is the one thing he is not fussed about and leaves them all constantly open! Grr!!!!

Anyhow, excellent running! Here running is impossible. I walk and am sweaty from head to toe, so imagine running!! I would get dehydrated. But I may go to the gym and do some elliptical or some biking one of these days (I want to up my weight loss, so that I am 128 by the 22 of December, that is my public pledge right there!).

I wouldn't recommend buying it through an online pharmacy. Phentermine is not something to be taken lightly, and it should be done with a doctor's supervision. Too much potential for addiction and other detrimental effects on your health otherwise.

Awesome job on running almost 2 miles in 25 minutes. GREAT job :) I can definitely see you improving in no time.

Sorry you're stuck with the domestic jobs around the house. On the bright side, you're burning some more calories :p

Love the idea of public pleges. I may have to steal that from you sometime :p You have some AWESOME pledges. I really hope you succeeded with all of them.

Let us know how the smoking is going! :) I'm proud of you for cutting back and working towards not smoking at all.

Actually, I stopped smoking cigarettes about 3 months ago... and sinc e I have had about 10 cigarettes, most at trhis one party, the rest in moments of weakness. The physical addiction is over, but my silly mind just won't let go of the romance of smoking.

Anyway, smoking green is another story, I do it pretty regularly... but as of this week, I will be cutting down to once a day only at night.

Hehe, guess that's this week's pledge... I will smoke only once a day, in the evenings.

- I will complete my work responsibilities today, and plan out my week ahead
- I will practice my belly dancing (no class this week)
- I will cook a delicious meal tonight, and clean up the kitchen lovingly
 
I could do with some lovingly cleaning, but I am still shattered from yesterday's hike and it is 7:30 it is already so hot, I have to go to work and I don't feel like cleaning at all!

Anyhow good thing you are cutting down the green smoke, I mean a tad at times is fine, but you don't want to lose brain cells, y'know!! And I am really impressed how you are not just losing weight, you are transforming yourself so nicely, I think you can be mighty proud of yourself!
