DAY 2

SKIN

I kept my hands away from scratching all day! It looks like my skin is getting worse... I'm going to have to get past this stage to the one where it's all clear again... just gotta leave my skin to do it's own thing!! But I want proper concealer/foundation :( payday, where are you??? oh, right around the corner, teehee :)

EATING

Fitday - 3190 cals
Extras - 5x dried pear halves, 4x round crackers, half a cup vita snacks (wheat based, baked), 3x grape ciders (11.5 fl.oz each)
Not quite sure why I ate these things... I felt hungry I think. But it could have been boredom... will check myself next time to be absolutely SURE I am only eating for hunger.
Now the drinks, those were bad :( I still don't feel ready to give it up completely during the week though... but for next week, I am going to limit my drinking to 2 nights, with a limit of 2 drinks per night. I will do my best to accommodate the extra calories for those days.

RUNNING

I got up at 6am for my first morning run. I ran 5km (in 41min). Yay! Felt so good to have already exercised... I'll be doing my best to ingrain this habit :)

FLY LADY

Today's task was to put away a pile of clothes in your bedroom... our laundry came back today (I take it to my parents, hehe), so I packed it all away :) DONE!

BELLY DANCE

I practised a little, but my legs were too beat from yesterday's squats and practising... I couldn't go down, my legs give out half way no matter how hard I try. I'll give them a rest now, and just keep pushing for more strength tomorrow again!

COMMENTS

Pretty good day all in all, except I smoked a little too much weed (hmm, maybe had munchies... don't really get them anymore, but still possible)

DAY 3

SKIN

I resisted all day. There are pimples on my face that are BEGGING to be sorted out, BUT I will let my body do the work. Come on skin, REGENERATE!!! :D

EATING

Fitday - 2335 cals
Extras - 2x Vodka and lime bottled drink (10fl oz each)
Today went alright... only the drinks were extra :) You would think I'm trying to bulk up with my cals for the past few days :( and it's mostly the alcohol (preparing myself for the inevitable separation... I'll let you all know when I take the plunge!)

RUNNING

I went to running club this evening, and ran 6km in 48 mins. I was told to do 5km, but decided on 6km when I got to 5. It seems I start enjoying my runs after about 3km only! :ack2: anyway, totally worth it :) Really didn't feel like running, but afterwards I felt like a million bucks!! So far I have run every day this week, yay! I also did some crunches, pushups and lots of stretching.

FLY LADY

The task for the day was to clean our closet floors and give/throw away shoes. Since I di this recently, I just wiped down some dirty marks and it was done!
I have been meaning to have a go at cleaning the fridge, so I decided to start with the veggie drawer... I emptied, washed, dried, then repacked it, sweet!
I also did a "Fly Lady thing" called a 27 Fling Boogie... Walk through your house with a bag and find 27 things to throw away, then do the same for 27 things to put away (in correct places), and then 27 things to give away to bless somebody else with your clutter. I did the throw away and put away... will do a give away fling soon :)
Oh, and when I took out the rubbish I washed out our big bin, yay for me!
I also did my evening routine which includes making lunches and setting out clothes for tomorrow. I also packed my dancing clothes for tomorrow after work.

BELLY DANCE

I practised a little again, but MAN that DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is a bitch I tell you!!!

COMMENTS

I was really impressed with myself doing all that stuff around the house... it's so nice when things are done and organised :) Got to bed a little late (midnight), must try for closer to 10pm when I have a run the next morning!

Anke love the plan my dear. I had no idea you have a skin picking problem. I do too!! I pick my scalp all the time and no matter how many times i tell myself to stop I always find my fingers back in my hair.

I love the new plan, and I like how youve incorporated doing a little straightening up everyday. I should really start to do that but it's hard with school and all.

Ya drinking always got in my way too that's why I decided to just cut it out entirely. But it is true that you need to kinda prepare yourself for something like that because there is going to be temptation all the time and you need to be able to say no and be fine with it. I like the idea of not cutting it out completely, but cutting it down at first to a max number of drinks per day.

Wow Anke! I haven't checked back in a while, and BAM, you've got a PLAN!! WAY TO GO, MISSY!!!
I need to work on my skin picking... I really need to clear my face up. :(

I want so badly to get on the treadmill again, it always makes me feel so happy and accomplished. :)

I consider myself extremely lucky that I don't have any vices (other than food), one, because I'm too young to legally smoke (cig) or drink, and 2, I have an addictive personality... so I'd almost certainly get addicted to the first drug I try.

In my experiences so far, though, I've only had success in one of the two areas I've worked on. I'm successfully free of thoughts about self mutilation, luckily, but I STILL haven't kicked this emotional eating habit. :(

Anywho, if you ever wanna talk, I have aim and email... just tell me if you want it ;)

SKIN
I REALLY had to try to remember why I decided not to pick. I pick at the pores on my breasts too, and that's probably the worst obsession :(
I stopped myself each time I found myself scanning my skin for bumps. My skin IS looking a little better :)

EATING

Weigh in!!! - I lost 0.9 lbs... not bad when I was expecting more gaining... must be the uppage in my running miles saving my butt!!!

Extras - 2x grape cider drink (11.5fl oz each), 2 bites of steak, 1/4 of my boyfriend's burger, 3 pear halves.
He was just going to throw away that last bit! Was craving beef... MUST WORK ALCOHOL INTO DAILY CALORIES!!! I am treating it like it's of no consequence :(

I went to class and we were focusing on choreography of a new double veil dance as well as a fire (candle) dance... exciting stuff for our end of year show! Didn't actually do much dancing though.

how on earth did you manage to lose while eating almost 2500 cal? Whatever exercise you're doing, maybe I should try it (except for the running. I'm DEFINITELY not a runner. :willy_nilly:)

Things like cleaning generally tend to take a backseat to sleep. At least, in my experience :p

DAY 5 - Friday

Skin's looking better, but I can feel the impurities just under the surface. Keeping hands AWAY!!!

We went to McDonald's and I REALLY didn't want a salad, so had 6 nuggets with small chips, and it fit in!!

RUNNING

Did my monthly time trial of 4.2km. Last month my time was 31:30 mins, this month it was 30 mins exactly, shave 1 and a half mins off, woohoo!!!

FLY LADY
I cleared the nightstands from yesterday's task. Today's was to declutter the dresser, which I did. I also washed a HUGE load of dishes (NOTE TO SELF: wash before it turns into a mopuntain next time!) :p

BELLY DANCE

The down up move is getting visibly better, I'm not so hunched over when I come back up anymore.

I am too often going for an "occasional" cigarette now. I quit over 6 months ago, and I am now smoking about 4 a month... WELL FOLKS, MAKE THAT NONE!!!

I looked at my running log book for the month and noticed my goals were to get out on the road (as opposed to the track field), AND to run 7km... well, I hadn't done this yet and this was my last chance for the month, so I decided to run 7km (ended up being 7.5km). It took me 1hour and 4 mins. I did it by running 8 mins, walking 1 min, and so on. I'm usually the all or nothing runner... I DO NOT WALK. But I figured I could build myself up to the longer distances better this way...

BELLY DANCE

Showed my boyfriend my move and he agrees it looks better already :) KEEP AT IT, WHOOP WHOOP!!

Had my best friend's 21st birthday party... I ended up making an alright impromptu speech for her, that was cool! Oh, and she had an obstacle course jumping castle (inflatable) as the theme was "Survivor" (the reality show, yes!) Anyway, had a good time.
My friend and I decided we REALLY ned to see more of eachother... so we're gonna try a dinner every second week... I need to do that with my parents as well, have been missing them since I moved out!
 
DAY 7 - Sunday

SKIN

Struggled not to pick while watching tv and reading, but succeeded. My back was riddled with red spots about two weeks ago from the increase in running and sweating... It seems to have started adapting, as the pimples are fewer, yay!

EATING

Fitday - 1716
Extras - 3x Vawter (lime and vodka drink), 1x Bernini Grape cider, 3x Eat-sum-mor shortbread biscuits. I went shopping for everything I need to follow the "Step One" menu plan that I am currently putting my "Weigh-Less club" members on... I figured I should try it myself, hehe. So this next week, no alcohol or caffeine, and pretty much under 1500cals every day.

RUNNING

My first day off after 6 straight days of running :) I am so pleased with myself, and ready to do it all over again this coming week!

FLY LADY

I followed my morning and evening routines... I swept two rooms in the house by working during every ad break while I was watching tv! I even did a load of handwashing in the tub for my running gear which I needed for today (we send the laundry to my parents place as we don't have a machine).

BELLY DANCE

I practised the down up move again. Every time you go down, either your right or your left foot is slightly in front of the other with a shoulderwidth between them. I noticed that when my left leg is in front it feel stronger/ less fatigued maybe than the right leg... could this be because it's my dominant leg and I probably use it more? Or is my left leg stronger??

Hehe, I honestly believe it was the running this week, sorry! The only other exercise I do is some resistance with an elastic band thing and some other body weight exercises 3 times a week... private message me ur email, I'll send you an easy at home workout you could add on to your treadmill sessions!

That bellydancing stuff sounds really cool. I think I might be too self-conscious to take a class, though.

Belly dancing truly is one of the most womanly and friendly dances ever... due to its flowy nature, any woman looks good doing it. And costumes come in a wide variety for all shapes and sizes. Don't let something as insignificant and being self-conscious hold you back :)

haha.. my sister wants me to be in a fashion bug (it's a store) fashion show... but I don't think I can do that quite yet.

Okay, I GOT THE JOB!!! WOOOHOOO!

I'll be an internal sales assistant, dealing with clients and doing admin tasks. I start 6 April, yay!

So I'm also pretty positive about handing over my current duties... I feel like working coz I know it's only another month!

I entered for my 10km race on the 21st of this month... and for another (15km) on the 26th April... so there are my non-negotiable (due to having already paid) goals for running the next while :)

I notice we weigh about the same now Annie... About time for some friendly competition?? :p

Anyway, I kinda gave up on my whole 30 day tracking thing, but kept going with the goals I had. I picked my whole face on Sunday though... and my breasts and my arms :( I had a freak out session... I was just mind numbingly doing it to satisfy my anxiety I think, I don't know :( Anyway, starting on Day 1 for skin again, coz I need a full 30 days to actually see the benefits of not picking... everything just got SO icky, I couldn't stand seeing stuff on my face that "doesn't belong there" :(

My weight loss groups are going well... slowly getting new members. I now have 3 groups a week, where I weigh in the members and give advice/ listen/ motivate. So Annie, whenever I do a motivational topic for one of my classes, I'll send it to you too (all about self-confidence!)

YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO THAT FASHION SHOW!!!! Come on, how much of a better goal could you have to keep your weight-loss going!?

Anyway, I'm off for now... haven't read anyone's diaries lately but will try make the rounds again soon!

So I still haven't stopped wrecking my face. It hurts all the time and there are LEGIONS of pimples round the areas where my helmet's foam touches my face... from all the sweat after running :( Must wash the insides weekly now!

I just cant handle the feeling of the STUFF inside my skin and I want it out, but then my face aches from all the abuse....

STARTING RIGHT NOW, I WILL DO MY 30 DAYS OF NO TOUCHING MY SKIN!!! I MUST!!

I also had a binge attack this morning... they restocked the work fridge and cupboards... had 3 packs of crisps and 5 small boxes of sweets like m&ms - candy coated chocolates, and 4 cereal bars.... Then purged it all, it was terrible. Later I had another 3 boxes of the choc candies :( Tried to eat my pumpkin seeds and grapes... managed but wanted junk... but felt so sick after eating junk :(

I just need to pull myself together, it doesn't have to be like this! Besides, I ran this morning when I didn't want to... that's good! So it's my weigh in just now... Feel like I gained this week... just ate too randomly without tracking.

This following week is going to be awesome cool again!!! NO FRIDGE SNACKS (we have to pay for it and I can't afford it anyway!) I will be bringing my premade and planned healthy meals and snacks with me, as well as downing my water all day long. I CAN DO THIS!!! Nevermind starting tomorrow, I'LL START NOW!!

Bloody stupid insecurities and obsessions trying to control me like this... SCREW YOU! YOU CAN'T GET WHAT YOU WANT, URGES, COZ THIS IS MY LIFE!! I WILL PROVEW TO MY SILLY LITTLE MIND THAT ITS ABOUT CONSISTENCY, FORGIVENESS, TRUST AND PERSEVERENCE.

So binging, but not purging.

Not running, but walking and dancing. Trying to hang on by this thin thread... but I'm weaving it thicker hour by hour.

I will make my own rope and pull myself back out of this damn hole.

I'm following a half-marathon (21.1km) training plan running 4 days a week now. I am tracking my eats and calories, and am trying to find which foods I can run better with, how cool is that side-effect :p

The half marathon is on the 1st of May, aaaaaaaaaaa!!!! I'm running about 7km a day now, upping it to 8-9 this next week!

I have been stuffing my face anxiously this week in anticipation of my new job starting Monday, eeeeee!!!!

But I do start each day off believing I will make the right choices. I now have my own scale to run my groups with. (Weightloss groups, similar to Weightwatchers) so I'm weighing in the mornings for the first time! But only twice a week!

I am really excited for you about your new job too!! I've been applying like crazy too for Property Manager positions...I hope I get a new one soon too!!! :)!!!

Eeeee, I lost a little!

And that was while eating not so well... a few chocolate binges... quite a few... but I am feeling healthy today and have healthy food with me, I will just do it all in moderation.

MY GOAL THIS WEEK: No binging.

Hi all!

Well, a little update on my eating mindset: I have stopped counting calories and checking lists for a week or so... I'll be checking my portions of food groups again next week, but this week I have focussed on eating REAL food most of the time, making the healthy choices, and eating when I am hungry. So far, Monday to Wednesday went fine. It's the Easter long weekend here from today, so I leave work at 2pm, wooo!

A friend of mine is going through a breakup/makeup/movingout/not sure/ nervous breakdown. She'll be coming over tonight, and we'll be cheering her up.

Day before yesterday it was raining while I was on my scooter (moped) on the way home. I hit on brakes and skidded and lost control down a downhill wet road... silly move, anyway, bike is fine, as am I. Both of us just have bruisy grazes :( Really sore.

So I have been sticking sort of to my half-marathon training plan... today I will be doing an 11.8km run, eeee!!!!
