Hey all!
I had a brilliant weekend, and feel good, optimistic and enthusiastic about my life today. The eating is easier again (guess because I have no immediate stresses right now). I want to however work on my motivation and stuff to keep it up now! The less dips I have, the better I will feel.
I did not detox completely, but had WAAAAYYYY less. Good start, hehe.
Work responsibilities are starting fresh again (we work in phases, and I have completed all my tasks for the previous phase of 3 weeks!)
This next phase will take a little more discipline and commitment. I need to focus on WHY I am in this job (to gain valuable experience, to learn everything I can, to express my creativity and use my people's skills) and WHAT needs to happen for me to do a GOOD JOB (as of tomorrow: no longer than 10 minutes personal email and forums check, and only after the first task for the day has been completed)
I will plan what I will be doing the next day every afternoon before I leave for home. I will take at least one stand up and walk around outside break for 30 minutes to eat my lunch and relax.
My other goal for the next "phase" or month of my life, is to develop my belly dancing skills further. I will be having two 1hour classes again from this week, but outside of that, I would like to devote 30 minutes to drills every night, and 1 other day where I do a full dancing session.
Other exercise I would like to do is to go for walks to and from the shops when we need a few groceries, and skipping rope jumping. I want to jump rope when I get home from each of my belly dancing classes. I want to jump 500 jumps then. In the same session I want to do pushups, ab crunches and squats.
So that is 3 times dancing plus a short session everyday of dance technique practising. There's also rope jumping twice a week, and spontaneous walks for cardio, and body weight training sessions twice a week.
I think this is small enough to start with how about you guys? Is this too much to want to start taking on in one week?
I will at the very least do 2 belly dancing classes and two body weight training sessions... okay by me, but I will aim for the best I can do!
Nutrition wise, I just want to stay within my caloric range and eat mostly healthy choice foods. I will continue to drink my usual 2 litres water. I want to make a point of getting in fruit/veg/fibre and nutrient rich foods (I combine all those things in my head), so I will be stocking up on best choice foods for the month!
Another aspect of myself that I have been neglecting is the state of my wardrobe at home... I need to get that sorted... Wednesday night between 8:30 and 9:30 (my bf watches wrestling then.)
And another thing is my beauty and hygiene routine. I WILL make a point of washing my face and brushing my teeth morning and night (depending if I shower the night before or that morning). I WILL do a pampering routine on Thursday nights after dancing and exercise. Shower, shave, pluck, dye, tan, paint, exfoliate, file, clip, cut, anything that needs grooming.
Phew, so that was more like a planning session for my life in general... I think I need to figure this out a little more...
And ye, I'm still off the cigarettes

I really like your dance routine idea. Gotta get the workouts in somehow, right? Better to do something you love, it'll keep you happy and motivated, yeah?
