Yeah, I'm late. But it has been very intriguing on the forum today so I've been distracted by honey and Spanish and sexy attorneys. :D

OK, so I got up this morning with the full intention of going to the gym. I went back to bed, though. My back was really sore. I've been told to take it easy, but damn it, I'm ready to move on and do something. I'm going to sit down this weekend and map out a six week exercise regime and see where that takes me. I'll probably run it past the wise owl of the forums (Steve) and make sure it is something that (a) is worth doing and (b) will give me some positive results. Sigh. Baby steps.

I am so very sick of counting points. Seriously, I think that may be why I am falling behind. It's hard to stick with something that does not inspire you. I did very well on it before but then I was into it. It was new, it was different, it was (kinda) fun. Now I start out the day really well. I count and plan and blah, blah, blah. But by the time I get home I really do not feel like counting every frickin point in every frickin serving on my plate. Solution: I found my WW food list book last night. (It has been MIA since the move.) I am going to try the core plan. On the core plan, I can only eat certain foods, but I can eat until I am full. I don't have to stop at a certain point value. I get 35 flex points per week on the core plan, which means I can still have no-no foods, I just have to stay within that 35 points. All non-core foods go towards my flex points. So, I am going to sit down and read through this book and make a list of what foods are core. I will stock up at the grocery and go from there. I know several great websites that have core recipes (all ingredients are core) so I'll check those out while I am at it. I have a new plan, a new course if you will, and I feel empowered for the first time all week. I will take tomorrow's weigh-in with a grain of salt and make a pact with myself to improve my habits starting now. I will see a loss next week for certain.

I had a friend who started out on the points, didn't lose, switched to core and lost 20 lbs. Try it, it may be the right thing for you.

I could never do weight wtchers.
The points system would piss me off. I do not need restrictions- I need to eat well. Restrictions are too..well. restricting.
I really hope and thiink the core will work for you.
Something tells me you do not like being restircted either.

Yeah, I resist being told what to do. I have a bit of a - dominating - personality. :D Just a lil bit. On occasion. Sometimes. :D
