Amy's weight loss diary

Get the goggles. They are great. You won't look back (pardon the pun). I can't even swim without them now. Its sheer punishment. I love see where i'm going as well, even if there's practically nothing to see. Oh well you will be able perv on the other hot bods charging around the pool and that's well worth it sometimes. :)

Thanks Andrea. I know it's silly, but it's something that I've always just had to "take" and I feel better for being stronger about it. Most of the time it's been ok, although I do wonder if the chlorine levels in the pool might be a little higher on the assumption that people won't put their heads under water.

Down half a kilogram this week (I think, the gradations aren't very clear on my scales, and I only ever look on the kilo side- less than 70 but I can count the marks from 65-9). Given I thought I wasn't going to lose anything this week, I'm pretty happy with that.

LOOK at your bmi change.
Congrats on going down. You rule. You're losing inches. Your boyfriend measures you. That's love.

You're reducing your calorie numbers so you'll probably see more of a loss. But I guess that's cos you only had a tiny lunch yesterday.

Thanks guys :) And hey, I have a "normal" BMI! Awesome! (Thanks for pointing that out, Carrie!)

To be honest, I thought I'd lost more size than that- particularly around the bust as my boyfriend has noticed (and complained- well, not really, more whining "I know you're happy you're losing weight, and you're looking better, but why do your breasts have to get smaller? :( "), and the stomach because even I've noticed that (although maybe that was more lower stomach and so is showing on the hip measurement? which seems like an insane change)

Almost no DOMS this morning- a little sore in my calves, but it isn't going to be days worth like last time.

Yeah, yesterday was a bit of a blip. I sort of just forgot to have lunch, and I didn't have any vegetables with my dinner because I've run out, and by the time I got back from my boyfriends' place (I didn't want to eat there because I couldn't account for the calories) it was getting reasonably late and too late to go out shopping. That being said, I am eating fairly consistently under goal (maintenance-500), so maybe I should expect to be losing weight a little (although not a lot) faster than the anticipated 1lb (~1/2 kilo) a week.

And I just bashed my finger with the scrape against something. It hurts like hell and I'm really annoyed :cuss:. I think it's getting a little bit infected because it hasn't been healing as quickly as I expected (in fact, in the last couple of days its condition has been virtually unchanged- same size cut, pinky/ reddy for about half a centimetre around the edge, tender to the touch, hurts a little to move).

Actually, I do have one more thing to add (triple posting, I'm terrible). My boyfriend is an "allied health professional" and so knows quite a bit about the body, and yesterday he said "I can see your (insert medical gobbledegook I don't understand here)! I haven't been able to see what before!" He explained to me what he meant- a feature of my body (probably constitutes TMI to explain)- and told me that it's something that's only readily apparent on thinner people (can't be seen on people carrying too much weight). So happy :D

OMG SO YOU HAVE A THING THAT ONLY THIN PEOPLE HAVE.
What is it?
I want to aim to get one some day not too far away.
Your boyf seems wonderful. I wish I had a nice one.

I've sent you a PM with the answer to that, as I'm pretty sure it's serious TMI for this board.

As to my boyfriend, yes, he's amazing. I'm really very lucky (and he's continually telling me he's the one who's lucky!)

'm pretty sure it's serious TMI for this board

No its not! But if its private its private. I'd have to guess its sexual but otherwise, i am sure anyone who reads this totally curious as to what it could be?

Getting into the healthy BMI is an excellent result. Congratulations!

Nothing is TMI for this board! You should find mine and Rox's/Jay's old diary posts. We are like the 3 dirty old women of the forum!! Gotta talk about stuff like that somewhere! :p

Hope you're having a good morning Amy! x

Andrea (fortyfour) pretty much nailed the nature of it. I'm not terribly comfortable talking about that kind of thing in public.

It's a bit damp and dark out there (but given where I live... go figure) but I'm feeling good today. Working out how to get some pseudo junk food into my boyfriend's diet without blowing the calories skyhigh. I've taken inspiration from here and edited it to the ingredients I can get and the kind of pizza he likes (BBQ chicken and bacon).

If I make a pizza with a Weightwatchers wholemeal pitta, Cathedral reduced fat cheese (30g), 2 slices (about 30g) light ham, 30g of Tesco BBQ sauce, 50g of chicken breast fried in my low calorie spray, 40g of brown onion (also fried in same spray, only counting spray once), and 30g of mushroom, I come to 362.4 calories. Which is pretty bloody good, really, and I suspect that pizza would be quite loaded up. Going to figure out the kind of pizza I want now, and make some for dinner tonight.

And I'm trying to work out what I want on my pizza and can't. Curse my pizza cravings and my loving of almost everything.

PITTA PIZZAs are amaaazing.
Ham and Pineappple lalalala + cheese = protein, carbs, 5aday. haha.

oh baby, this is what we call satisfaction :coolgleamA:

I've just finished putting my boyfriend's pizza together (he's working a night shift tonight, so I need to cook it and cool it and take it to him, I'll make mine later) and am about to put it in the oven. May be a bit of a disaster- I think I both underestimated the size of the pita (they're much bigger where I come from!) and overestimated the amount of ingredients I'd need to cover what I imagined the pita to be like. So it's... a little bit of a mountain. Hopefully it doesn't come apart in the oven because that's his dinner :ack2:

Thanks, I appreciate it :)

I'm going to jump on the uploading food bandwagon. Probably not as pretty as other people's, apologies for that. Here's my boyfriend's dinner for tonight. (about 360 calories) I was very worried about it because it went into the oven about twice as tall as that and I thought it was going to fall to bits. (The background is the greaseproof paper I cooked it on, I'm leaving it to cool)

mmmmmm that pizza looks soooooooo good. im totally making it.
everyone is right, whats private is private but im so happy for you that your bf is saying such great things. he does sound like a wonderful guy :)
