AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Okay, no exercise today. Which is bad, since I know I most likely cannot make it to the gym tomorrow, as I have a dinner to go to.

TMI WARNING:

But, I cannot physically exercise today, as I am doubled over cramping. This is the WORST period/bleed (whichever it may be) I have ever had. I have cramped all day, bled through super plus tampons in under an hour, staining my work khakis (I had to change into my gym pants at work...embarrassing the hell out of me) and passed two blood clots the size of golf balls.

My friend asked if maybe it wasn't a period...but a miscarriage. I said I didn't know. I would almost hate to know.

I just want to not feel like this.

And my breasts STILL hurt.

OK. Enough whining now, I am going to make a steak and onion hoagie and moan on the couch for a bit.

Oh my gosh sweetie, I'm SO sorry to hear about your horrible cramps/period! I hope you are feeling better very, very soon!!!!

maybe your body is just releasing alot of what has been stuck inside. The clotting size scares me a bit though....perhaps if i were you i would just give the doc a call. If it is a miscarriage....at you would know you were able to get pregnant,...right???
Hope you are feeling better soon

Rena

Good on ya for getting in some last minute horseback riding. :D

That sucks about your period. Does anyone know if a doc can tell if it was a miscarriage or not? When I'm flowing hard, I usually wear a pad as a backup to my tampon. TMI

Hi Amber

Ignore the slight weight gain. I get one at period time.

I am sorry to hear about the severe period symptoms. I have no idea whether the doctors can tell if it had been a miscarriage - I never got that far.

The risk of a miscarriage is higher for PCOS ladies.

Either way - apart from the pain - it could be quite positive news. You are still young.

a/ if it was a miscarriage - it would prove that you are now ovulating and it becomes more of a possibility for the future.
b/ if it was not a miscarriage - something is certainly happening in that area. Maybe some sort of clear out triggered by the weight that you have lost so far. You have been working very hard and producing results. Lets face it - women have a D & C surgical procedure to try and clear out debris in there. Maybe your body triggered a natural one of it's own.

I would have a word with your doctor.

You may want to focus on the last paragraph about miscarriage in that link - if it transpires that it was one or cannot be proved.

I hope that you are feeling better soon - but try not to view it too negatively (difficult with something so painful - I know!)

Take care
Love
Margaret

Oh I am sooo sorry to hear that you are feeling bad. :angelsad2:
I use to have those kind of periods but not anymore. That was the surgery that I had last week.
But most likely that would not be an option for you as I am sure you want to have kids.
Just go curl up on the couch, snuggle under a blankie and put on your favortie show.
Hope you get too feeling better really soon. :grouphug:

As a side note I did start to notice that if I cut all caffeine outta my diet before and during my period they weren't nearly as hard. Maybe you could (in the back of your mind) keep track and see if that works for you.
:grouphug:

I already have no caffeine in my diet. I had to cut that years ago due to liver issues.

This may sound dumb, but unless complications arise, I DON'T want to know if it was a miscarriage. I'd be afraid to ever try again. I've read that 15% of pregnancies end within the first 30 days and are just seen as late/abnormal periods by women who were not already aware they had concieved. It generally causes no problems.

Kimberly, I wear a pad also...did not stop the blood yesterday, unfortunately.

You poor thing.
It just sucks that you have to go thru all that.
I had the same thing happen this summer when we were on our way home from vacation.
SuperTampon+Overnight Pad = no match for the stay seated sign on the 4 1/2 flight over the ocean!
Those stewardess' didn't care about squat! And I was so embarrassed. That was the last straw for me. (And it wasn't the 1st time that I had a major accident in public)
Get to feeling better sweetie!

Well, despite what I said earlier, I did go in for a blood draw today to find out for sure if I was or was not pregnant. I don't want to know. But I am AB- and my husband is A+ so I need a shot if I was to avoid future problems. I will know in a few hours.

I was not pregnant. I did, however, ovulate (possibly the first time ever, definately the first in years). It was a nonviable egg and became a cyst in my uterus. They think everything will pass out on its own, but I have to go in in a week to check.

That is great news ***HUG*** i wish you could see the stupid smile i have on my face thats such great news fingers crossed its a regular thing!!!

Cramps are a horrible thing but hot water bottle, warm bath and good tv show will help they do say exercise helps but i have never tried it as its the last thing i want to do

Take Care

Sorry Onderlanders, no exercise again today. (Although I knew I would not, due to previous plans.)

Plus, the whole bleeding through 28 tampons so far today makes me not want to move much, ya know?

But, I ate my protein like a good little challenge person.

So it looks like you are ovulating--that's great! 28 tampons!! Wow. And I cannot believe you overflowed with a pad as backup. I can't imagine flowing that hard. You have my sympathy!!

Bella, I have flown a lot--and if the seatbelt sign was on for a long time and I had to use the toilet--I would get up and go. The flight attendants cannot expect people to hold it for hours on end. Would they prefer you peed/pooped/bled all over the seat?

I am so very sorry you have been going through all this...

Good gravy that's just horrible!

:grouphug::grouphug:Amba:grouphug::grouphug:

*****

I gave up on tampons years ago..I'm always heavy and had to wear a liner or pad for back up so what was the use?

lol

I just stick w/the pads now.

Worry about YOU - not the points.

:)

Hi Amber

 You have ovulated!

That is amazing news.

And it opens up many possibilities for your future!

I am so pleased that you got checked out.

It just goes to show that your hard work is making a huge difference.

I am sorry that you are having a bad time - painwise. But - you are a tough girlie that can cope with that.

You have done really well to have kept up your protein - with determination like that from you and what Bellaryna showed after her op - it is no surprise that we know we are the best team.

Take care
Love

Well I am so pleased for you Amber! Having your systems start to work again is a huge sign of health in my book. This means your efforts at weight loss are having an enormous effect on your hormonal system, probably somehow pointing back to leptin, the hormone produced by our fat cells that controls all of our other hormonal systems. Its a bad thing when we have too much leptin floating around, which we get from having too much fat making too much leptin. Just excellent news, despite having the "red dragon" back (Sheryl's name is probably my favorite as I always laugh when I read it rather than gross out like I do with the other descriptions..like AF=Aunt Flo ewwww ha ha).

I waited for as long as I could but by the time I did get going it was too late. I didn't mess the seat of the plane, just the seat of my pants. Luckily (and who knows why) but I had thrown a pair of shorts in the carry-on. Probably cuz' the other bags were to full or I forgot them or something who knows. But it was still extremely embarrassing to walk up and down that aisle as we were soooooo far away from the toilet!
But never again!

How wonderful that you are back on the road to a healthy you!
Now as far as the tampon fund I gots me a whole Wal-Mart Bag full. Seriously send your addy and their all yours! LOL
Just take care of you today. Heaven knows we don't spend enough downtime on ourselves.

I am having a lot of pain, and still a lot of bleeding. The pain has caused dizziness and near fainting today. I am not impressed.
