Ok so you didn't have much control over your diet but you did tons of exercise even if it wasn't formal exercise and carrying boxes up and down stairs is really hard specially when you can't see your feet to make sure your not skipping steps. believe me i know i have fallen down stairs trying to carry things up and down them so i am glad my son can climb up with holding my hand now so i don't have to carry him up them when we have to go up stairs.

keep up the good work and you'll be back on track in no time.

just dropping in on you. Damn... you sound way too busy for your own good. haha jk As for painting, yup... I agree with Jenna. I personally think you burn more just painting and moving things here and there than walking alone. Besides, it'll tone up your "guns." WOOT! When is your class in session? Well, I am back at school, but the kids don't come back until next thursday. Right now it is just having meetings and getting the room ready.

Tonight, I went to a roller derby bout. That was nutty.

About the informal exercise. The most weight I ever lost without really on any diet of any kind or even thinking about weight-loss is back in 2002 when we were building our house. We were working on the second floor, but there were no stairs from the first floor yet, so everything had to be carried up on a latter. :eek: I never had buns look that great!!! Stairs are great exercise, looks like you have done a ton of them the other day!!!

Heather, I teach K-5 special ed.

I am looking forward to meeting my new kids! My room is ALMOST ready. I am looking forward to COMPLETELY ready....

I weighed in today and was up .2 oz. But I wore jeans and last week I wore khaki capris, so I am probably about the same, really. Oh, well. I knew I had not done that well this week. I choose to accept that and move on!

Went out for drinks with a friend tonight....I am sure those were unneeded calories, but definately needed to have some fun after this week! I only had 1 pina colada and 2 shots of butterscotch shnapps. What's that, like a zillion calories? Eh, I'll work it off tomorrow.

While there, I looked out the window and saw fire. In a truck. I yelled, "There's a fire in that truck! Should someone do something?" And then all the people rushed to the doors and the workers ran around trying to find a fire extinguisher, which took over 5 minutes to locate. COME ON! How do you have a kitchen with stoves, ovens and fryers and NOT KNOW WHERE THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER IS?????

Anyway, the fire was put out, luckily, but the fire department still came. I am not sure what caused it, but it livend up the evening a great deal!

I am sorry I have not gotten to post to all of you in the last few days, I will get to it, I promise. I've just not hardly been home except to sleep.
 
Sounds like an interesting nice. and yum butterscotch is my fav. Hope you had a great time and don't worry about the weight going up .2 it probably had to do with what you were wearing this time. Next week is a new week and will get better hopefully for all of us. Keep up the good work and we will make it to our goals.
 
Well...I ate a crappy lunch, but a decent dinner...no breakfast, as I slept super late (the last time I will get to do so until thanksgiving break, sad!)

But I did work out today (actual exercise, rather than all the informal exercise I have been getting!), so I am feeling okay about the lunch. I did 1.5 miles on the elliptical machine, and 30 minuntes of yoga. Felt the need to rid my body of some stress and tension build up. Plus...I hadn't contributed to the road trip in ages, and needed to do my share (which I have come to accept will be much less than most of you all's shares. Crazy work out women!!!

I really need more water today, though, only 4 glasses so far...and I am hoping to only be up 2.5 more hours, because I really need to get my sleep schedule straightened out! Otherwise I will be the zombie teacher the whole first week!

Hey Amber, Hope your weekend went good don't worry about the food thing. tomorrow is another day. Just keep up the good work and try to not get to tired since like you said you don't want to be a zombie teacher the whole first week of school.. lol i felt like a zombie this morning as i only got about 6 hours of sleep since i didn't get to bed until 3:30 this morning then got woke up 3 times before 10 am this morning. so i am hoping that i can tire myself out tonight with my workout once i get alex to bed here in a bit. Keep up the good work and hope you have a great week.

There is a weigh in in my gym every month and my weight is always exactly 5 lbs more than my weight in the mornings.. The trainer measures me with my workout clothes on including my sneakers... and after a day of eating and drinking 100 oz water. 5 lbs higher, never fails. I find myself selecting the lightest clothing on weigh-in day.. :) But I really consider my "real" weight, the morning measurements, no clothes, no food or no drink...
Congrats on getting back to your exercise !!! You are going to be really busy soon with school.

School started yesterday, I've been crazy busy!! I have not been exercising, but I have been eating pretty well and it paid off! First loss in 3 weeks. -1.8 pounds today.

Now, I am looking forward to chilling for a weekend. Back to the grind Monday.
