AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

hmmmmmm, I think I may have to look for those next time I'm at the store!
You and your recipes are freakin awesome. :]

Amber, your so nice to be making a manual for the girl your training but yeah in the long run it will probably save you some time and headaches of having to answer the same questions over and over again.

I'm not sure but i think there was something that i read about how much calories you burn while reading or being on the computer. Anyways hope your day went good and that your day tomorrow is even better.

It's really nice for you to make that manual even though it will save you aggravation in the future!

How are you doing today?

Well, today (Friday, I guess technically yesterday, but I haven't slept yet, so today.) I spent 3 hours training my replacement, answering all her questions, etc.

Then a friend called and I spent the entire evening ripping the carpet out of her downstairs bedroom that had flooded yesterday. I REALLY think that counts as exercise. Ripping up, cutting up, and carrying out carpet is not light work!!

Tomorrow is weigh in and measurements....a little nervous, but I always am.

Ripping out carpeting definitely counts as exercise! Good luck at the weigh in tomorrow/today!

Well...apparently "the best" was just not gaining. Yup. Did not gain or lose an ounce. I am still at 226.6. Oh, well...stationary is better than up!! I know a lot of it was lack of movement because I spent so much time typing up that manual. For a couple days there was basically no extra movement in my life. It makes a difference. Notice I once again lost off my bust...the one place my husband says I shouldn't lose weight from!!

Hey Amber:)

I hope you're having a good saturday! ripping up carpet is totally exercise... and hard exercise. I've done it before... it certainly isn't that much fun either... those damn tack strips can really hurt!

As for your weigh in you lost over 5" in the last month!!... the scale may have not gone down (and not up) this week... but you certainly shrunk this month!

::HUGS::

Yeah, the real fun comes tonight, when we try to get the glue that held the carpet pad down off of the cement...oh joy.

Then we are painting the walls with KILZ primer and paint, in the hope of warding off any mold infestation that might come from this.

Then we need to seal the cement, and figure out if we are going to paint it, lay tile or try to recarpet....

All in all, a wonderfully not fun project to end the summer with!

At least its good exercise.

I've heard something about using bleach to erradicate mold... although I dont' know if it actually kills it or just cleans the surface. But if it becomes necessary I'm sureyou can find info on the internet.

Have a good time... eventhough its hard work:)

congrats on losing more inches

I need to get myself measured again. I am not sure how long often i will do it or if i need someone else to help me do it or if i can do it by myself. anyways congrats on losing some more inches even if the scale didn't move one way or the other. Keep up the good work. Also what type of exercises are you doing? i'm not sure if you mentioned it before or not.

Well, tonight all we accomplished was KILZ primering the walls with three coats, and removing all the baseboards.

We start again tomorrow at 2.

This is hard work. No exercise again today...but I am so tired, I will let that go.

Heather, my exercise varies, because I get bored easy. I swim, do the elliptical, do tae bo, do yoga, do pilates, do balance ball exercises, use handweights and take long walks with my darling husband. I try to do some form of exercise 30 minutes or longer 4 times a week. I don't work out everyday like a lot of people, because I just don't have time and then if I miss a day or two, I feel like I let myself down. Whereas I can usually go at least 4 times a week and then I feel like I met my goals.

As for measuring, it is easier to have someone else help, but it is possible to do everything but shoulders yourself. Somewhere way back in this diary I explained how my dietician gets all my measurements. I get measured every four weeks. Any more often and you may not see much results and get discouraged.

Congrats on the loss of inches! Even though you didn't lose any poundage, you are getting smaller. Did you get your bmi measured? I find that sometimes that goes down even when I didn't lose anything.

Ah, KILZ..lol I remember that! Fun, fun--NOT! :rotflmao:

I get my body composition analysis again after I have lost 20 pounds. So in 7 more pounds....which at this rate will be in 7 weeks....hoping to speed that up.

It's not a BMI, per se, but it gives me my lean body mass, body fat percentage, cholesterol, blood sugars, insulin levels and liver lipids. It's more complex than a BMI. BMI's are unrelieble to a point because they don't take lean body mass into consideration. My lean body mass alone would put my weight near the top of a healthy BMI range, according to the charts.

How can you say you didn't get any exercise today:eek2:  :eek2: All that painting and ripping out the baseboards most certainly counts as exercise!!!

Your doing tons of it... probably usuing muscles you usually don't.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend:hug2:

You're right Jenna! And rolling on the paint with the rollers and holding my arms over my head forever to do it definately gave me some pain in the back of my arms and shoulders.

I started teacher induction for my new district on Monday, it is mainly sitting in meetings, but it is SO much information that it made me exhausted both days!! Tomorrow we actually report to our school site to start getting our classrooms ready.

I have slacked on both exercise and diet. Exercise because of being tired and not wanting to move after I get home. Diet because our lunches were provided during induction and well...not that healthy. Plus, Sunday, I let my husband order pizza and yesterday I was so tired after I got home I just ate a piece of the leftovers for dinner. Tonight I baked chicken, though. And now that induction is over, I will have control over my lunches again. Hopefully, I will be down on Friday's weigh in. Hopefully. But I may have already screwed up too much for this week. If so, I will pick up the pace next week!

You've done a ton of informal exercise this week! I'm sure that has effected your body a bit. You did the best you could under your current circumstances. Now you'll have more control and you'll get right back on track:hug2:

Okay, more informal exercise tonight. 30 minutes going up and down stairs carrying boxes to my car. Tomorrow I have to carry them into school. Stairs are hard work, you know.

Hey there,

You sound busy, but congratulations on the inches lost ;)

School time is hectic, isn't it?
