AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

I kind of quit eating caf hot food my last couple years and just went for the "make your own sandwich or belgian waffle" area. Much easier on the tummy.

Well, I just went and swam for 1/2 an hour. Our pool here is looking a tad bit green...if they don't fix that soon I am going to have to nix swimming as an exercise possibility. 'Cause I ain't swimming in no nasty algae!!

Hey Amba
I love swimming .. I love the beach .. I will swim for hours ..sun bathe and than go back in for a few more hours ..its a lot of fun ..
too bad if they dont get the green icky stuff out ..
I hope they clean the pool ... :)

I wish I had a pool ..planet fitness ..where I am getting a membership doesnt have a pool ..but they have other great stuff .. I cant afford the gym that has a pool ..its the works ..and they cost sixty dollars a month .. planet fitness is ten bucks a month ..and is sixty bucks start up fee ... they also have one in MA and three other ones I know up here.. I can go to anyone I want to ... this one is only fifteen minutes away by car ..so thats good ..my mom can drop me off in the morning ..u know ..and I will go for an hour ...and what not ...

but its so cool you have a pool! lol
I was supposed to go swimming today ..but thats ok ..got good time in for two activities I love

I understand the caf food ..but I was bad back than ... I ate anything ..
now I reserve myself ..but I need to get back on the beaten track and lose lose lose ..and become a healthier me ..
I hope they clean your pool!
and keep up the good work!

Thanks for writing Natalie Jo!

My husband is out playing Halo and ordering pizza tonight with the boys and now I have to decide what to make for dinner for just me. Hmm....I am thinking maybe turkey meatloaf...he hates it, but I love it. Tonight might be good for that.

Eww to green pools... is there a landlord or someone you can call to get it cleaned... you shouldn't have to lose an excellent exercise tool because they don't clean their pool!!

As for your husband eating more hoagies... my boyfriend is officially known to my family as the human garbage disposal... damn boy still eats like crazy... but since i've been eating healthier he's dropped over 20 pounds without trying... so unfair!

Yeah, that's how most men are. Diet for 7 days, lose 10 pounds. Sheesh.

Hopefully the apartment manager will clean the pool...it is only open until Sept. 1 anyway. I should at least be able to swim until then!

That's right!!!

You also shouldn't have to look at a green pool... its just gross... there's stuff growing in there...its just unecessary... all it probably needs is some chlorine (not expensive or hard to get taken care of)

Yeah, I just wonder if they decided it is closing soon anyway, so they just don't want to deal with it. I am going to call the apartment manager tomorrow and mention it.

Yah for the most part, if the pool is placed in your lease then you have every right to swim in it until the date posted. Also, they have to take care of it or it's a breach of contract on their part. My grammy's been an apartment manager for the past 27 years, so I know a LOT about leases/ rental agreements. hahaaaa

Well, I called, we will see how much good it does....

Ate my leftover turkey meatloaf today. I always only make a small one because I am the only one who eats it...but then I am sad when it is gone so quickly....

I hope they fix it for you!

You should make a big batch and make a buncha mini ones and freeze them... so you can have one whenever you feel like it:)

Well, I have been hard at work typing up a process manual for my successor at my old job. I have to meet with her on Friday and finish training her, get her up to speed on our forms and all that jazz.

I hate typing. I am slow at it. I never learned to keep my fingers on the right keys. I type with my index and middle fingers. Yet, here I am, on my time off, typing a 45 page manual and NOT GETTING PAID EXTRA FOR IT.

Argh.

Anyway, no exercise today...unless my fingers typing have burnt enough calories to count as some!

Did you have to make the manual and train your sucessor or are you just being nice?
Either way it is awesomely nice for you to do so... on your precious time off... with no reward for it... seems very unfair!

Of course it does!!! The arm movement... the finger movement... and... the aggravation!!!

I did not have to make the manual, but I do have to train her. The manual actually makes it easier, because then she can look everything up that she forgets and I won't get a billion phone calls asking me the smae things over and over again.

Sounds like even though you don't have to do this that it's a good idea. Save some of your time later. :]

For your turkey meatloaf do you just use ground turkey and keep the rest the same? I'm definitely interested in making it sometime. :)

I use ground turkey (93/7 fat level), wasa crisps instead of saltines, an egg, onion, garlic, black pepper, and a big spoonful of light french onion dip. Use enough Wasa crisp crumbs to make it hold shape. Put ketchup and brown sugar mixture on top and bake at 425 for an hour or so. The dip keeps it really moist.

That sounds awesome but what in the world are wasa crisps? lol I guess I'll google it. :]

They are really big cracker type things, but much healthier. The fiber rye ones are only 0.5 grams of fat and like 20 or 30 calories. I get them in the health food section of the regular grocery store.
