"We are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it, always pushing up the hill, searching for the thrill of it."
Yes, this is my fourth diary here on the weight loss forum. I joined in September of 2009 when I decided that I needed to lose weight and get in shape. With the help of this diary, calorie counting, and exercising like crazy, I dropped 20 pounds in 4 months. I wanted to continue losing weight, but once I got out of my routine, it was too hard to get back and be so strict with myself.
I've managed to keep almost 15 pounds off since I started my journey. Yes, I have gained some weight back and ideally I'd like to lose it, but I honestly don't have the drive anymore. I am happy with my size and I'm okay with maintaining the weight I'm at right now. I've also accomplished some great things along the way (such as running in several 5K's and completing my first ever half marathon) which is something I never thought I would or COULD do. The weight loss part of my journey is over. I am now moving on to the fitness goals. So this is my new diary of fitness.
I have a few goals in mind so far:
Goal #1 - Be able to run @ 7.5 mph on the treadmill for a mile.
Goal #2 - Complete the program.
Goal #3 - Complete the runner's world 5K training program (again).
I would like to finish the 5K training program and the push ups program before I go on spring break at the end of March. I am going to start working on this as soon as I get home from vacation (I leave on Sunday) and second semester at school begins. I plan to exercise at least 5 days a week and attend step group fitness classes at the gym on a regular basis.
Here we go!
