It was a good day, I ate well and feel good. A busy day, first closet organizing and then plumbing/roof repairs. In the last heavy snow we had a vent pipe sheared off by a snow slide, fortunately the roof wasn't leaking, but it had to get fixed. I had a handyman out today, a guy I know pretty well. He did most of the heavy lifting, climbing around on the steep snowy roof and crawling in the attic to reattach the pipes, but I assisted, holding the ladders passing him tools, getting parts ready etc. It got done, we had to add a couple of snow bars above the new pipe to hopefully take the force out of future snow slides. When it warms up in the spring I will have to get back up and do some good sealing, but no leaks now I think we are good for the rest of the winter.
Thanks for the nice words. Cate and Amy, it did feel good. I have to say I do still have a nagging worry about regaining weight, but my confidence is growing. I don't think that worry will ever go away completely, and maybe its for the best it doesn't. I think I can keep doing this, it feels like I can. Not so much a race to some end as a real change.

Toba Sōjō aka Kakuyū was born in 1053, Toba was a famous Japanese artist-monk proficient in both Buddhist art and satirical cartoon. This is one, the first scroll of Chōjū-giga, I like, although the attribution to Toba is in question.
