Thanks for your kind words Cate, maybe kinder than deserved. I'd like to think the sum of my parts are more positive here than not. However I am really here for me, I get more than I give.
It was a travel day, so eating was a challenge, but I think I did alright. After dinner I saw that I was under my 1,000 calorie goal for the day, so I went to the little store in the hotel. Eating selection was pretty grim, then I saw a small bottle of Chardonnay. I had to buy and drink it to stay on track, it was tough but I forced myself!
On cereal, I normally eat grapenuts in my yogurt, I just add a little filling the empty space at the top of the container. Not sure how widely known grapenuts are, they are a small crunch cereal thing. No sugar added. The calories are similar to the sugary raisin bran I had the other day, but they sure are a lot more filling. I guess my lesson learned is to stick to no sugar added cereal, not for the calories, but for the bulk. I actually like the taste of the no sugar cereal better. I do plan to try the oats soaked overnight Cate suggested, they sound like a good idea.

The Magna Carta was agreed to by King John in 1215. He soon repudiated it and the Pope soon annulled it. None the less it kept coming back and marks a significant step in the development of the democracies many of us enjoy living under today.
