ABBAgirl's Diary

:cuss: Yeah, BOO HISS on the nasty old scale for not showing that I am *truly* out of the 170s yet!!! However, when DH saw me in today's outfit, he insisted on a new pic, so here it is, the first one where I am in dark pants & a blue blouse. This is me at 171 lbs, according to my *&#! scale. I am 5'4", started the journey weighing 211 lbs. My goal is now in sight at 155 lbs. My current weight is what I weighed thru high school; my goal is what I weighed at age 24, when I got married 13 looooooong years ago.

Pic in the red sweater is me at 188 lbs.

Last pic with white headband was near the start of my journey, weighing in at 211 pounds.

Okay, I'll admit I DO feel a little better after seeing the pics! SCREW MY SCALE!!!:reddevil:

HAPPY TUESDAY, ALL!

Hey Janice! You look Stokingly Hot!! Whoot whoot! You go girl!! I am so happy for you. You looked awesome before too, but now your even hotter. I am so happy that you have such a wonderful and loving family.

And I am happy you love your life. Some people always look at the negative. I am learning from you and other NOT too look at the negative, but always look at the positive and because of that I have walked everyday last week and every day this week so far. ITs feels good to making good tracks forward in this journey and I AM very happy you will be sticking around after you reach your desired weight. I think a lot of people, including me, would miss you very much!

Have a wonderful day! I will check in with you later ..

Hi Janice

Brilliant new photo. You look so slim on it! I thought that you looked slim and great on the last one - but this one is much better again. You must be so proud of your achievement.

Congratulations.

Take care

What a great achievement!!!!
You were so beautiful in the first pic and it seems that with each addtional photo your beauty only intensified.
I agree with Margaret......it would seem that at this point you could stop and know one would ever know the difference.

:blush5:Thanks everyone for your kind words! It does feel nice to know that my hard work is paying off, be is ever-so-slowly! I am still aiming for my goal of 155, and hope now to reach it in April.

I just got home from virtually a double shift at work, and am verrrry tired, so will wait an hour or so to get on the 'mill.

cheers:grouphug:

wow a double shift.. yuck.. i hate those.. i don't do them anymore unless you count watching a 3.5 year old all day then going to school for 5 hours a double shift.. lol well hope you are doing well besides being tired.

Girl
that counts for more than a double shift!!! LOL
That's like making your brain do overtime without ever letting it sleep!
Keep at it!

:waving:Just got off my hour long date with the 'mill. Drowning in sweat, as usual. I managed to get in over an hour yesterday, too, even tho I was sooo tired!

I am marginally frustrated, as at the very beginning of the week the scale actually read 169 - amazing - but now it is back up to 172 again :banghead::cuss: WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!!!! Ticks me right off.

*sigh* However, I remain committed to my goal and will continue working daily in order to see my magical 155 appear by April 15, 2008!

cheers

You know I find that when I don't get enough sleep my scale tends to wiggle up. Which happens every weekend as I work 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And since I got kids I never get to sleep in so rarely get more than 5 hours on those days. And usually less on Sunday since we go to church. Pretty sure that it just stresses the body out. I know that with work it can be hard to get all your Zzzz's but perhaps you could shoot for a 20 minute powernap here and there.
Don't let it get to you to much. 'Cuz you have done great things so far!

:party:169 lbs FOR REAL, PEOPLE!!!

Yes, Just got back from weigh in, and I truly am down 42 lbs!!! I feel incredible. I CAN DO ANYTHING!!!!!!

I got up an hour earlier than usual today just so I could get in a FULL workout prior to getting weighed. I will do whatever I need to do in order to reach my goal!

For now, that means I am heading off to work, so I can keep paying for WW until I am a lifer and get all the wisdom and encouragement there for free.

Cheers

Hi Janice

Congratulations on the "official" 169!

I cannot say that I am surprised. The photo is so good. You are now not only in the 160s but you are only 1 stone away from goal! I am so envious!

Take care
Love
Margaret

Thanks, Margaret. It sure does feel good! I can't believe I am just 14 lbs away from my original goal! I certainly may choose to go lower, but I will do some real celebrating when I hit 155, that's for sure!

Janice

I am sure that you will do some real celebrating at 155. We will all have an internet party too :party: so make sure that you tell all your forum friends.

CONGRATS 169lb WOW!!!

14 small pounds from your goal i cant wait to be in that position you can do that by April no problem your commitment to the 'mil will see to that!!!
Bet you cant wait to become a lifer if WW is like SW you can sigin in with a T for target instead of the weekly fee

Oh and i will come to the internet party :)
Sarah

LOL Yes, Sarah - you come to my internet party, for sure!

I just got off the you-know-what after a good sweaty time. Then a very quick shower, now off to Mum's for dinner. Nice! Unfortunately then I have to drive back to work and print off some reports I forgot! :banghead: Oh well, I'll be dang sure to remember next time!

I am feeling great and on target for my weight loss. Life is good!

Janice

WOULD YOU BELIEVE...167 lbs????

Hmmmm....that is what the scale said after my workout this morning! No fluctuating, just 167!!! And I can tell you THAT was a lovely start to my day! LOL So I will make 167 my weigh-in goal for this week. Should be interesting, as my b-day (#38) is tomorrow (Feb4) and I am going out for lunch with one pal and dinner with another! I'll start the day with my workout, then just do my best to make wise choices. I WILL DARN WELL HAVE WHATEVER I WANT TO HAVE, but in moderation! :Angel_anim: Listen to me - after 38 years on this planet, I have finally learned something!!! ;)

It is sunny here, and must be above zero as all looks slushy and melty outside! That is fiiiiiiiine with me; I am a tad tired of winter!

I am excited about a one day conference I will be attending in March. It is terribly dear in price, but I believe will be well worth it. It is a conference with Jack Canfield, who was behind the Chicken Soup Books. I am reading his book "Success Principles" right now, and it is very motivational!

All for now, have a wonderful Sunday!:waving:

Hi Janice

Happy Birthday!:party::party::party:

I hope that you are having a really good day. Hubby says Happy Birthday too!

Enjoy your celebrations - and if that means a little over-indulgence then that is perfectly reasonable. I think that we all would make sure that we had some good treats on our birthday. Any weight increase is minor and temporary as long as you get straight back on track afterwards.

Talking of weight - I notice that you have an unofficial new low. Congratulations!
You are now racing towards your goal weight!:auto:

Take care
Love
Margaret
