ABBAgirl's Diary

I can't believe you're only 12 pounds away. I'm soooooo happy for you.

I sort of slowed down/nearly stopped working out for a while, but I'm back at it full force and counting calories like, well, like how Scrooge counts his coins.

Are you going to post a swimsuit picture when you're done or what? (That makes me sound creepy.)

Hope you're having a good day.

Well Hello there ABBA, I go away for a short time and look your almost to your goal, YEAH! I'm so very happy for you!! I'm so impressed with you getting on the Mill all the time and getting it done! That is usually the hardest thing to do and look you did and it's paid off. CONGRATS on doing such a fantabulous job, I'm so very happy for you, and I can't wait to see pics again, once you reach your last goal.

Hugs!
Kim

:blush5:Awww, shucks! Thanks, guys! As I am currently retaining what feels like the entire Pacific Ocean, my goal seems much farther away! hee hee I'm pretty sure I'll keep going for another 10 lbs once I hit my original goal of 155. It would be pretty exciting to bust through 150. Heck, at this point, it will be extremely exciting to bust through 160!!! :willy_nilly:

It is very nice to know that my goal is in reach. I wish it would happen faster, but since this is my REAL LIFE, I am pleased with how it has gone so far with losing the weight. I feel soooooooooooooooooooooo much better about myself these days. I think I have even noticed a fella or two checking me out?! Is that even possible at my age. LOL Good for the ego, even if it is merely that I need new glasses ;)

Thanks for the words of encouragement! Cheers to you both!

Worked out this morning. As we are doing NOTHING for V-day (hubby feigns illness, I think), I may get on that treadmill again tonight for another hour. Can't hurt, might help.

Janice

illness on vday is common real or otherwise. SO managed to need to go to the clinic and get x rays of her hips. Were i not caring for her I'd be pretending I was sicker than a dog becuase feb 14th is just not my day.

Also I hate you and your mild winters. take some of ontario's snow please?

Aunt flo needs to be sent packing on her own self sustained oceanic cruise. Hopefully you can work past her ^-^

you know we're gonna have a huge thread party for you when you hit your goal.

LOL! Yes, let's buy Aunt Flo a one-way ticket, shall we? LOL I love it! And I think a "thread party" is a grand idea.

Apparently I am continuing to work steadily towards my goal(s). Today's official WW weight was 166.4, meaning I have officially lost 45.2 lbs!!! This is wonderful news! On my own scale this morning, after my work out, it actually fluctuated as low as 163, which is insane. But I am getting there! Soon the 160s will be a thing of the past!:willy_nilly:

:hurray:HURRAY FOR ME!

Hi Janice

Congratulations  - more new lows for you! You are doing so well.

You are storming ahead now. You stuck out that horrible plateau and now the weight just cannot drop off quick enough. I am so pleased for you.

Well done! :hurray:

Take care :seeya:

Thanks, Margaret! You will be in the 150s any day now! Wow, that is impressive!!!

I worked all day then got right on the treadmill as soon as I got in. It's like if I wait, it might not happen, so I'd just prefer to do it the minute I get in. Then had mum over for pizza & salad and we watched Biggest Loser. That is one of my fave things to do each week! I am so blessed to live near my mum.

:cheers2:Here's to reaching goals!

ABBA

I was so grateful for your encouragement on my new diary that I wanted to visit yours both to thank you and be inspired! And wow, inspired I am. It's amazing to think that you've dropped more than sixty pounds! Congratulations on approaching your goal. I hope to learn a lot from you about perseverance!

Hi Janice

You doing the treadmill as soon as you get in is just like me setting out on my long walk every morning. I always want to do it first thing. I am frightened that I might change my mind and not do it. Once I am a little way down the road I know that I will do it.

I hope that you are having a great weekend.

Take care

:waving:HAPPY SUNDAY!

It is a beautiful spring day here. Kidlets are out visiting friends, so DH and I headed down to the waterfront to go for a lovely walk! Haven't done that in many months, but now the snow is mostly melted here. Our city is known as the "Hawaii of the North" so our winters are generally pretty short & mild. And having lived on the Canadian Prairies for almost a decade, I know to appreciate it!!!

So we are just home now, enjoying the peace & quiet of no kids around. In a few minutes I will enjoy my daily date with TM (you know what that is) and sweat off more pounds. Aah, the joy. I purposely bought a skirt & a pair of jeans that are too small, and am trying them on weekly to enjoy my progress! It's a good thing there are so many consignment/thrift stores near by...

Hope you have all enjoyed a lovely weekend.

Dear ABBAGIRL, thank you for all the wonderful support you have been giving to me since the first time I posted on this site. You are such a wonderful person and I really appreciate it. I am so happy to hear you reached a new low, and are only 11lbs away from your goal! We will have a huge on-board party when you hit that 155lbs on the scale!

:D :D :D

:blush5:Aaaww, thanks, Sweetie! Glad to encourage you. It is always helpful to feel that we have other folks in our corner!

I have today off, which I loooooove. It is such a treat to have time to myself when the littles are in school! So...I did 2 HOURS ON THE TREADMILL! lol

Let's hope it pays off at the scale on Friday. Off to a good start for the week, anyway!

Cheers

Hi Janice

I am sure that spending extra time on the treadmill will pay off on the scales.

Well done.

I hope that you enjoyed your day off.

Sunday and a walk with your hubby sounds like it was really nice. Its always nice to walk when the weather is suddenly nicer.

Take care
Love

:hurray:MARGARET!!! You're into the 150s now!!! Way to go!

Hi All
Did my good solid hour today, expect the same for tomorrow.

Tonight was very pleasant as my folks watched our girls and DH and I went for dinner & a movie. Dinner was tres yum, pasta & seafood! I ate 1/2 piece of garlic bread and about 1/2 the pasta. It was soooooo good, I just enjoyed every bite! And DH can finish the rest for lunch tomorrow. The movie was a treat. Called 27 Dresses, about a gal who is always a bridesmaid. Obviously it was MY turn to pick the movie! LOL DH was a good sport; there was only one other male in the whole theatre!

All for now

hello abbagirl :)

i thought id stop my your diary and take a peek :) Congrats for dropping into the 160's that is amazing, you must feel so good.

Was it hard getting into the 100's? i remember getting down to 203 a few weeks ago and i just couldn't seem to hit 190's... and here i am back around 220.. lol.

well have a good day an keep up your awesome work!

SNOOKUMS:It was actually stunningly easy for me to drop the first 30 pounds. I mean ridiculously so. I am losing my weight with Weight Watchers, and it is a very simply, common sense programme. However, I did hit a nasty plateau once I dropped to 176lbs and was there for about 6 depressing weeks. During that time I not only continued my regular exercise & better eating, but also amped up the exercise a notch - which is what I think busted my plateau!

Today I RAN ON THE MILL FOR 1/2 AN HOUR!!! I could not believe it! It was amazing! LOL Must have been a reallygood CSI...

Anyhow, hoping to see another drop at the scales this week. We shall see.

cheers

aaah ok. Id love to go to a weight watchers meeting and join, there are 4 in my town but i don't have a car and don't think anyone could take me when they happen :( i might look into their online program.

GREAT job on the 1/2 hour run. thats amazing. my record on the treadmill was 12 mins and i thought i was going to die lol.

the scales will be good to you im sure :)

Hey Sunshine!!
How funny you and I lost and hit plateaus around the same time. My first 25-30 pounds came off rather easy to within the first 5 months, but then I hit this plateau around the 170's and it's been stuck for months, up one pound down 2, up 2 down 1 it's crazy, but it hasn't stopped me from working out and trying to stay good on the food. Weight Watchers is such a great program and I think it's easy for about any person to do.

Congrats on doing so well, you really have stuck to the program, and that's why you are seeing such great results.

Have a wonderful day and an even better tomorrow
Kim
