ABBAgirl's Diary

Hi Janice

I would certainly be on a high if I were you.

I always go walking before I weigh and would strongly advise you to do that before your meeting. We all enjoy that boost that a loss brings.

It sounds like a great day ahead.

I am off out walking now......

Take care
Love
Margaret

I have been on somewhat of a "high" all day after finally breaking through the evil plateau. I am, of course, a little nervous that next week will not show a loss again, but I will not complain if I can basically get things evened out to about 1 lb per week. Mind you, I also won't complain if I can lose more than 1 lb in a week! :biggrinjester:

A well deserved high congrats on your 2.2lb loss :hurray:
you have kicked that plateau so far behind you it can not be seen LOL

Sarah

Thanks, Sarah! I was absolutely thrilled when the scale registered a loss! Hope I can keep it up...or down...

Today I sweated it out for 1.5 hrs, through 1.5 episodes of CSI on telly. Not my fave show by any stretch; however, it is engrossing enough to keep my interest while on the 'mill. I think I will just stick with running through all commercial breaks, which should work out to about 3 minutes at a time, I reckon. So that likely looks like WALK 15 min RUN 3 min. Usually there are about 20 mins of commercials during a one hour show, so I think that is sufficient and shouldn't bother my foot or my knee. I have plantar fasciitis on my left foot (have had it for 3 yrs, + a heel spur) and had surgery on my right knee about 27 years ago. OMG, I cannot believe I was 10 yrs old that long ago!!! Where has the time gone? :ack2:

Our band practice was absolutely horrendous; a total bust. Extremely disappointing, but I guess there are still many things that need to be worked out. Our bass player got called in to work and neglected to tell us - but then we found out that he is underage and would not be able to play in the pubs, anyway! :cuss: Ask me if I was impressed to find this out. GRRRR...It all would have been avoided/sorted out if DH had done the research I had asked him to do! :angelsad2: Today is one of those days when my marriage feels like a weight around my neck (pardon the weight pun!). I am sure tomorrow will be better.

All for now, hope you've all done your exercise for the day!

RE: WEIGHT LOSS TABLE

Does anyone know why my name & info have disappeared from the Weight Loss Table? I had set up a graph and my info when I started, but did not add to it over the last month or so, frustrated by my plateau! However, I want to update it now, and my name is nowhere to be found???

HAPPY SUNDAY, ALL! Today was, thankfully, a much more enjoyable day than yesterday. After church (ooooh...where I got to wear a GORGEOUS new skirt and tiny size 10 short blazer, looking so fine, I must say;) I came home and got right on the 'mill for a good hour or so - til Mumsy showed up and wanted me to go over to her place for a soak in the hot tub! AAAAH, simply heavenly :Angel_anim:

I am now to the point where I really look forward to my time on the treadmill, no interruptions (usually), really working hard. It feels so good, and I know it is good for me! I am so thankful that DH picked it up at auction when he did, before I was even ready to contemplate losing weight. For all of the ways he drives me absolutely up the wall, he really is a pretty good fellow. :beating:

Have a good night, all.

Hey Janice.. yes hubby's batty habits are driving me crazy along with my mothers crazy opinions on how we should raise our son and all that jazz... but i think its driving dh crazier and he's hasn't had to deal with her day in and day out the last 3 years.. haha he's only been home not even 2 months yet. anyways.. things on the weightloss end are going somewhat well.. not as great as i had hoped but not too bad either.. so i can't complain too much on that end. oh well hope things are going well with you. congrats on the 2 lb loss.

HAPPY MONDAY!:waving:

Today I worked 7.5 hours, a full shift. I worked from 10am to 6pm, came home and ...you know what...GOT RIGHT ON THAT DANG TREADMILL! LOL I tell you, I have become addicted to sweating:willy_nilly:! I am now faaaaar too familiar with all of the cast members on each of the 3 CSI tv shows, as somehow those shows are able to captivate me the best whilst on said 'mill. That is, if Star Trek NG or Voyager is not on!! Oooh, or ANY show related to weight loss. Love those for inspiration!

So anyway, I only did an hour on the 'mill today. I think that is most reasonable for me on days when I work and have all the family responsibilities. If possible I prefer to workout while the littles are in school and DH is at work, so I am uninterrupted and can keep at it for up to 2 hours, if I want. When my kids are home, I just can't spend that much time on myself, plus the requisite bathing afterward! P.U.!

I am most hopeful that the scales will again reflect a loss this week. I love how my clothes are just fitting better & better...and some of my "skinny clothes" are now even too big! No kidding, I have not been this small (now THAT is funny) in around 10 years! Once I reach my goal in another 19 pounds, I will not have been that small in about 12 years or so.

Well, no pearls of wit and wisdom today. Just happy thoughts from a sweaty gal. Time to hit that shower...:iagree:

Hey nothing wrong with getting to know the CSI casts intimately.

Sorry I disappointed on you for a bit. Congrats on getting past your plateau ^-^

later from one sweaty Canadian to another

Thanks for stopping by, Lady!

I worked hard on the mill for a full hour today, running faithfully during every break. The amount of situps and pushups I've been doing has dropped, as I had been doing those during commercials. I think today I did about 55 situps and 45 pushups.
I have fully enjoyed my food today, and still have 15 WW pts left. That's good. It's about half past noon, and I've had a grand & filling lunch.

Hey, my scale is now reading 172 lbs. I hope it is accurate, but am not convinced. I shall see at my Friday weigh in if I am actually down another couple of pounds or not.

Janice,

Congrats on busting through the plateau. That was a long, long plateau, as fa as I'm concerned.

Man, I wish I had a treadmill at home. Hell, I wish I had a TV I could put in front of a treadmill, but I don't. Wait. I have a TV, but it's in a console and it doesn't get any channels. Anyway, I always have to watch morning news on the TVs at the gym when I'm on the treadmill, and that crap becomes mind-numbing.

Sounds like you're having a good day. I hope that keeps up.

:waving:Hi Tamara! Thanks for popping in! Isn't it nice now that we are both officially out of the "obese" range and now just "dangerously overweight"? LOL I think BMI is a load of hooey, personally. You and I are neck-and-neck in our weight loss, eh? Oh, that is CDN for "hey". hee hee

Ha. I know. I gave off a little cheer when I realized I was out of the "morbidly" obese range and into the "just fat" range. Bah. It's all a bunch of garbage. I mean, my trainer said, when I I get down around 150, she thinks I'll be in the healthy range. And I think that's your goal anyway, if I can remember correctly. She then said I probably won't be happy until I'm down around 135 because that's the low end of my healthy weight range. I know some people who are taller than us or who are our same height might hate us a little. Oh well.

Also, a huge congratulations on the "tiny size 10" blazer. You're loving it. When I first got my size 10 jeans, my boyfriend said, "Honey! This is amazing. You are now officially out of the plus sizes." I hadn't thought of that until he said something. So congratulations on being out of the plus sizes, at least in one article of clothing! :)

hey there friend! I've been in and out the past week, so sorry I haven't posted in a little bit. Looks like your still doing well and on your way to a good loss this week. I hope you see the 2lbs down and then some, which is likely! Keep up the great work on your sit ups and push ups, I have to force myself to do those anymore. Good luck to you the rest of the week, I can't wait to see your weigh in on Friday. GO ABBA!!!!!!!!!!!

:reddevil::ack2::icon_bs::cuss: THURSDAY, EVERYONE!

As you can see, I am still struggling a bit with Aunt Flo. She is making me cranky and tired. Therefore, I am lazing about in my jammies slurping coffee. I am in my fuzzy slippers and my hair looks like it lost a fight with a lawn mower. LOL I called my boss and told her I won't be in until this afternoon (gotta love working casual) and am now going to watch tv until the time is right to drag myself onto the 'mill.

I am considering not getting weighed in tomorrow due to water retention. It was so hard to bust that plateau, I really don't want to see a GAIN this week! I dunno. I always enjoy the meetings, however, so I would still attend. My leader is this fantastic little dynamo of a gal who lost 30 lbs 8 yrs ago and has kept it off! Her name is Jenny, and I call her Vitamin J. hee hee

I am sure I'll report in later just to prove THAT NASTY WENCH AUNT FLO AIN'T THE BOSS OF ME!!!:reddevil:

OH Boy do I feel your pain, I'm waiting for Aunt Flo to show up at my doorstep any second now, I thought for sure I would have seen her yesterday, but she's taking her LOLLY time coming. Damn that pesky aunt.

Watch her show up on Friday (weigh in day) that would be my luck. But at least I'm still able to work out this week, as I hate working out the day she shows up, I just don't feel the mood. Good for you taking some down time, there is nothing wrong with that.

I think your going to be surprised by your weigh in this week, even though Aunt Flo has come to town. Usually the first couple days are the bloated days, so by Friday you should be good to go. Aunt Flo only sticks around for three days at my place, I'm sorry if it's much longer for you. Take care today girlfriend, and enjoy those hot baths!!

I'll check back by later in the week to see how you did.
Kim

Thanks, LadyBug! Just so you ALL know, I DID TOO get on that dang 'mill for an hour, huffin' and puffin' and sweatin' up an icky mess. Then I did too have an even longer and hotter bubble bath than last night, enjoying my "penny dreadful" (that's old lady talk for trashy novel) while having a grand soak. Now I ALMOST feel ready to eat lunch and go to work for a short shift. Poor DH has been hiding from me today, I have been rather ...er... unfriendly...:banghead:

cheers but not cheerful yet! :flame:
