A new start for MommyOf2!!

Hi all!
Today was not a very good day. I did not exercise (I never do on Mondays).
Food:
B: Kashi and coffee
Sn: Two bites (literally) of flan w/ no whipped cream
L: 2 chicken taquitos w/ (gulp) guacamole; 4 bites of rice; diet coke
D: Small bowl of chili and 2 corn muffins

I feel horrible!! I had a stomach ache all afternoon. I'm just not used to eating all that fat.

Tomorrow will be a better day!!
 
OK - HH - you will think I'm a nut. I tried to log onto the web sites you gave me while I was at work and they were blocked - lol! Then I didn't get back to it at home. I'm a spacey chick these days. Ugh!

OK - so how many points did I take in today???? You don't want to know. 42!!!!! How many am I allowed? 20!!!! What is wrong with me??????

Man! I need to count it up for a good day - at least a normal day. Today was a bit wild.
 
OK - I just calculated a more normal day. I ended up with only 3 left for dinner. *sob* How am I going to do this??? OK - how do I calculate activity points?? I had better get myself to the gym tomorrow.

Thank you, by the way, for showing me this! I'm now obsessed!

Hey Laurel! Please don't stress out about this WW stuff. You are not going to like it if you do. I think it will be fine, if you do decide to keep doing it. And don't forget, you get 35 flex points per week!
 
Loving the points now that I've figured them out and gotten over the shock of exactly how little food is represented by 20 points !! LOL

Sn: Apple 1 point; 1 C. light popcorn 1 point
L: Chili 7 points and light limeade .5 point
D: Yet to be determined.

Exercise - One hour of Denise Austen exercise video. (I could not make it to the gym because I took the girls to a concert this morning. It was so cute! I dressed them in semi-matching burgundy velvet w/ old-fashioned lace dresses. They were so darling! I'll have to try to post a photo. Also it's raining and all I want to do is stay inside.) How many activity points do you think that is? It's a pretty challenging work-out. Lots of cardio, abs, lower body, etc.

My daughters are making play-dough cookies - I guess it's a good thing! That's the closet thing to a real cookie I'm going to have now that I've had my POINT awakening! LOL! (Still haven't even touched the g/s cookies!!)
 
What's going on? My posts are not staying. Has that ever happened to anyone? It's only happened today, but it keeps happening. Weird.

OK - I'm going to give my points:
B: Kashi and coffee 6.5 pts.
Sn: 1 C light popcorn (1 pt.) and 1 apple (1 pt.)
L: Chili (the page said 7 pts, but I made it and it's super healthy - tons of vegies and turkey meat) and 10 quakes 1 pt. and limeade .5 pt.

So that's 17 (although I am convinced that the chili isn't really 7) - ugh! Only 3 for the rest of the day. Unless someone can tell me how many activity points I could earn for one hour of Denise Austen exercise video. It wasn't as tough a workout as my kickboxing or spin, but I was sweating and panting. It's high impact w/ interval weight training, legs and abs. (Very interesting w/ my 4 year old correctly me ... "Mommy, your arm is supposed to be there. No mommy, you were supposed to jump before you kicked." What's up with that???? She's 4!!)

I would amend my morning kashi and coffee EXCEPT that it keeps me full for so many hours. Every other breakfast I eat (except eggs) leaves me hungry in no time. And I cannot cut coffee from my diet. I've cut back a lot and that's the best I am going to do. I'm addicted! I only have 1.5 cups (less than actually) w/ 1/2 cup n/f milk and 1 tbsp. of creamer.

Can I say that the most disappointing thing I have discovered since this whole points awakening is how many points there are in pasta???? We live on pasta!!!!!! That's going to be an adjustment.
 
Oh thank you Chris!! That was so helpful. So I figure that my exercise counts as 2.5 activity points (conservatively figured).
Until dinner, I'd eaten 17; that leaves me 5.5. Here's dinner:

chicken (rotisserie) - I'm guessing 4 points
vegies - 1 point
basmati rice - 2
diet root beer - 0

So I exceeded my points by 1.5 points. Bummer! I'd hoped those flex points would go to fun stuff - lol! The worst part is I am soooooo hungry!!!!!

Oh well - tomorrow's another day. I'm loving the points! Thanks tutors!

Exercise - 1 hour of kickboxing (I can't believe I can HATE my obnoxious instructor and LOVE his work-out!!!) I am guessing 7 activity points.

29 points
B: Kashi and coffee 6.5 points
L: Apple 1, quakes 1, chili 7, limeade .5: 9.5

So that leaves 13 left for the day and I'm not even feeling hungry. Also, I'm convinced that the chili is fewer than 7 points. But I'm being conservative.
 
Hey Laurel! You are doing great! According to my points slider thingy, that was sent to me by an unnamed source ;) , one hour of high intensity exercising at your body weight would be 8 points. One hour of moderate intensity would be 4. Hope you see a lower number on that scale when you do your next weigh in! :D
 
Yes, HH, when I calculated it, it was between 7 and 8, but I figured I'd go w/ 7 since he does a cool-down at the end w/ abs which aren't as ball-busting. Oh he's a jerk!!! Sorry. I just can't stand him.

OK, so I'd had 16 by lunch. For the rest of the day ...

Sn: Protein bar (5.5 - gasp!!)
D: Chicken soup (wish I could have sent some to HH to help her get well!), wheat toast (which I mistakenly put butter on - grr!). The soup is homemade and super healthy - just chicken, vegies, a bit of rice, and spices. (Yummy!) So I'm guessing it was 4 or 5 points, 1 point for the bread, and 1 for the butter. I tried to scrape it off, but couldn't get it all.
Sooo that's a grand total of 28.5 even w/ the extra point in the soup (which I don't think is actually there). That means I'm .5 point under!! Yippeeeee!!! What a difference from 42 pts. on Monday!!!!

OK - so I did an hour of spin. I thought I was going to die, so I think I earned 7 or 8 activity points - lol!
That makes 29 or 30 points total for today:
B: Kashi and coffee 6.5 pts.
Sn: Apple 1 pt
L: Chili 7 pts. and quakes 1 pt. and limeade .5 pts
16 leaving 13 for the rest of the day. I plan to have a protein bar in the afternoon when I feel my blood sugar dropping. For dinner, chicken soup, wheat toast, and diet root beer. I hope I stick to it!!
