A new start for MommyOf2!!

OK - I'm off to the gym. If I can move my children along, I'll run 3 miles before doing weights and abs in Step/Sculpt. Yippee!
 
Hey Laurel! You are doing great on counting those points. To be honest, and this isn't to discourage you in any way, but I think when I get down to only 20 points, I won't be doing it anymore. That really doesn't seem like enough points in a day. But those flex points are there, so use them! Lol!

HI :) thanks for stopping in and ready my diary today!

For my pork dinner I use 1/2 inch thick sliced pork tendorloin.

I actually love pork. I cook it at least 2 times a week. I decided to only eat red meat on rare occasions , so I have learned to cook with fish, chicken and pork instead. I have found some great reciepes that are easy and fast so if you need any let me know!

If you can believe this, I got on the scale today and I'm down to 156! Is it possible to lose that much weigh in one week - 5 lbs. since last Tuesday? WHY aren't I in a challenge??? LOL!

So today, I ran 1 mile, did 1 hour of step/sculpt, and another 20 minutes (1.5 miles) on the treadmill afterward. Awesome workout!! I calculated it at 8 pts. Seems like a lot, but whatever.

Food: (22 + 8 activity pts.)
B: kashi and coffee (6.5)
L: Roast beef sandwich (2 slices wheat bread) (2), roast beef (3 pts.), lettuce, dijon mustard, 10 quakes, almost a whole apple, limeade for a total of 7.5.
14 pts. so far, leaving a whopping 16 for the rest of the day. yay! That's great for my big pork tenderloin dinner I'm fixing.

So do you think it's possible that I'm actually 156???? I checked twice, but isn't it just the illness from the weekend??
 
Congrats MO2!!! You are doing' AWESOME!!!!

The points are doable (yes, even 20) - it just takes practice and tweaking. :D I am not sure how many points you are eating per day, but at 156 pounds you should be at 22 per day. Try getting more protein at night and nixing some of the carbs to stay full - instead of tacos on shells, have a taco salad w/ meat over lettuce w/ salsa and light sour cream (cheese if you have the points left). Usually you can get quite a bit of lowfat protein and things in if the carbs are low everywhere else at dinner :D Just a thought :D

Oh my! What a day!! I took my daughter to the doc since she was complaining of an ear ache. We left and were on the freeway (you all know I am in So. Calif.), the freeway is just stopped, barely moving. Nothing unusual as it is nearly always that way after 3 p.m. She starts projectile vomiting in her car seat. I could have died! I was completely stuck! I couldn't believe it. Luckily, my mom was watching my 2 yr. old.

Anyhow, there went my plans for my wonderful pork tenderloin dinner. Boo hoo! Pizza was the only thing we could bring ourselves to deal with. Not the best choice, but I had 16 points to burn, right??

Food for the rest of the day:
2 slices vegetarian pizza - 10 points
I think I'm about to have a bowl of Cheerios. I am soooo hungry! Even wtih that, it'll be under. Yay!

I just booked a neighbor to watch the girls so I don't have to miss Kickboxing in the morning. I guess taking a kid that sick to Kidwatch at the gym probably isn't a great idea, huh? LOL!
 
Wow, sorry to hear about getting stuck in traffic with puke and a sick baby. Poor thing. I don't think it's a mystery as to why you are losing so much weight. You are burning some mean calories with everything you have to do everyday on top of the great workouts at the gym. Good job! I hear you about not being in a challenge. LOL I would have been a hero this week too. Have a great day!
 
Hey Laurel! Sorry to hear your daughter is sick. They seem to catch everything that comes along just like my kids. Those puking in the car seat sessions are always wonderful, aren't they? :rolleyes:
 
Hey hun! Hope your daughter gets to feeling better! I'm glad you was able to get a sitter for tomorrow I wouldn't want you missing your kickboxing class!!
 
Laurel, sorry to hear the wee one is sick :( That sucks SOO bad! Been there, done that twice over. I feel for you - and her, poor booger.

Great job on bookin' the neighbor to sit for your kickboxing class! :D Enjoy it and have a great night tonight :D

Thanks for the well wishes for my daughter (and my sanity!!) She's much better and back to torturing her baby sister!
OK - I've mentioned my crazy KB teacher many times, right? Today he really did it: He showed up w/ 4 t-shirts for his favorite students that read: "Body by Pierre"!! Can you imagine? (His name is Pierre, of course.) They were black w/ HUGE red letters on the back. I couldn't believe it! And it's supposed to be a cardio kickboxing class, right? Well, today, he thought he'd copy a class "only offered in LA" (according to him): Weight boxing. It's basically the KB work-out w/ weights in our hands the whole time. Ugh! I thought I was going to die! I'm definitely taking my full 8 pts for that one!
So - that's an hour for the exercise!
Food so far:
B: Kashi and coffee (6.5 pts.)
Sn: Apple (1 pt.)
L: Chicken salad (6 pts), 10 quakes (1 pt), limeade (.5 pt) 7.5 pts.
Sn: Protein bar (3 pts.)

That leaves 12 for the rest of the day. I am going to have Pork Tenderloin roast (wrapped in Pancetta), basmati rice, and mixed vegies. No way to really talley with any great accuracy, but I'm pretty sure it'll be at least 12 and I won't need a bowl of Cheerio's before bed. Yay!

Anyhow, that's my day!
 
LMAO!! Pierre sounds like he has WAY too much self-absorbtion goin' on!!! LOL Great job on makin' it through that workout! You didn't die - you survived to do it again :D and again :D LOL

Why can't my kids both sleep in on the same day??? What good is it for one to sleep in and not the other? It's almost worse because I'm trying to keep the awake one quiet and out of the other one's room. Ugh! Thanks for letting me vent!

Chris - no. Of course I didn't get a shirt. He hates me. I stood up to him the time he made the entire class start a sequence over b/c one person stopped to tie her shoe. I had the nerve to say, "Would you rather she TRIP on her laces??" And he shot me the dirtiest look ever and had us start over AGAIN because I said that. Jerk! He has tried to claim credit for my weight loss, incidentally, but I corrected him and said that there is no way a once a week work-out could be the reason for 20+ lbs. of weight loss. I am just too sassy and not a kiss-up. Not his type of student. (Not his type of anything since he's gay as gay could be!!)
Anyhow, I'm off to Spin class this morning. Can't wait!
 
LOL.. Yea I wouldn't want one anyway! There is no way I'd wear it.. I might use it to wipe the sweat off of me or something! Have fun at spin class!!
