A new stage of the journey

my eldest joined me doing the yoga class tonight, he felt a bit more comfortable when he discovered that he wasn't the only male there and that one of his matial arts instructors was in the class. As a beginner class i found that it was much easier than expected and i have not lost as much flexibility as i had expected from my heavy lifting :) .There was only 1 pose i couldn't get completely, dunno what the name of it was. after the class my son told me he wouldn't mind doing the class each week.

during the meditation at the end in the dark we were having an awsome lightning storm outside which cooled things off nicely.
 
That is awesome your son wants to do the yoga with you every week. I can barley get mind to do marathon club every year. .lol

yep its another hot steamy day again, hit the gym this morning for some light cardio, ab work and rotator cuff exercises. came home and spend a little time modelling (I am making a castle out of plaster) and then fell asleep. i just feel bloated and have no energy today.:ack2:
 
its 6:30 am and it is a planned rest day today. the temperature is nice and comfortable at this time of the morning :)

food was ok yesterday and every major muscle group is slightly tender from this weeks workouts :D

Despite being a rest day i feel the need to be doing something :(

I hate that , i was arguing with myself over and over agian yesturday about exercise.Thing is if I dont exercise or do somethign physical I feel guilty:(

But I was spent yesturday and finally didnt exercise but I hate the guilt tha tcomes with it...geeesh hey...I never use to care if I exercised or not...now I cant handle not.
 
I love the NEW AVI too!!! hahhah!!! It's so funny!!! Way to go on getting those workouts in .....I love when that feeling comes over us, that guilt of NEEDING to DO MORE than what we have.....!!!! :hurray:.....wish it was ALWAYS LIKE THAT!!:biggrinjester:

Full Tricep Pushups 12,13,13,17,13,18

Bench Press 6 sets of 5
Incline Bench Press 3 sets of 10
Skull crushers 3 sets of 8
Tricep Kickbacks 3 sets of 5
Preacher Curls 3 sets of 8
Peck Deck Drop sets starting at 40 kg
Seated Rows Drop sets starting at 45 kg

10 minutes Cardio Climber

it was a light and fast day today.
 
forgot to mention, I also had a short sports psycology session with my coach this morning to start trying to get my head in the right place for next month. I sooo want the Australian title this year. Everything has to be just right in my preparation including my diet, weight loss, strength gain and mental toughness.

just a step behind you =P lol

Today i have a severe case of DOMS all over my upper body from yesterdays workout :D heavy dropsets will do that to ya lol.

Today

Warmup Rower
Squat: 3 sets of 10
Leg Press: 6 sets maxing out at 640 kg (1410 lb)
Hamstring Raises: 4 sets of 10
Hamstring Curl: 1 set each leg (One of the ladies at the gym had never seen the full weight stack lifted on this exercise and asked i would. don't know what the weight was as i don't usually do hamstring curls)
Calf Raises: 4 sets of 10
Cardio Climber

I was actually doing my weights today and thought about you and then pictured my self as a body builder. :D
