Ive been thinking about having a shake before my work out and after so i can ensure im gettin my proteins in, do you recommend that?''I read your work outs and shake my head, lol.Good for you for all that you do, crazy wmn!

Giving up caffine was the best thing I did but when I struggle for energy it sucks.Ive been trying to find a replacement for the energy for over a yr now.lol.I always have one cup of tea in the am while im at work and then a berry smoothie, the smoothie seems to work...but i was a die hard coffee drinker I still miss it but it started making me feel so BLAH ya know.
 
It is possible to get enough protein through normal diet but the shakes help both energy levels before and after workout and are low in fat, so long as you are still getting enough other nutrients from normal food and include the calories in your counting the shakes are worth it. Unfortunately good protein powders are hard on the budget and most taste REALY BAD.

My middle son is also drinking the same protein shakes as I am. His Doctor has told him to gain weight or he will need to come off his meds which would not be a good thing and he was told that the protein shakes I use are fine also for him (he is 10 years old).

I have given up the cafein in the past (when I was Preggo with each of my boys) but the energy drinks i have are Soooooo adictive and taste great they are a big weakness and are holding back my fat loss so out they go a bit at a time so I don't suffer the withdawal headaches to much.
 
Today didn't go exactly as planed activity wise (game day was cancelled) but eating has been ok, still a bit low on my iron intake and 1 more enrgy drink than i was planning to have but overall it wasn't to bad for a sunday when good eating goes out the window when having fun with computer and gamer geeks.

I have fundraiser duties at my sons school in the morning so my workout may be a bit shorter than usual.
 
Thanks for stopping by my diary! Looks like we're on here for different reasons but both are good reasons none the less. I'm not sure if I'd ever have the motivation to have a routine like yours. Great work and good luck :)
 
Im wanting protein as a supplement, i dont have enough to begin with and with the extent im exercising i think it is important to have more...I wanna make sure im at least getting enough of it.

Not bad at all having one more than planned.How many do you typically have ?

I agree. I'd love to see a pic myself, wit those workouts, you must have quite a physique.

BTW, I've tried dropping the caffeine too and life kinda sucks without it in my opinion... I can reduce some, but I've never been able to drop it.
 
so far so good today, done a fitmix class today and discoverd I can still do a somersault and land on my feet using a mimi tramp even if the landing wasn't spot on lol but my flip from a handstand was rather :smilielol5:. hell i even manages a half decent splits in the air lol not a bad cooldown at the end of class and a 36 year old woman who had not done anything gymnastic like since I was a teen.

Have not eaten enough yet but have still not had any caffein
 
Wednesday

Todays been a bit mixed up, one of my kids is feeling sick today so I will hit the gym this afternoon instead of my usual morning workout.

I am down 1 kg since last time i stepped on the scales on saturday. Strength up - weight down - its all moving in the right direction :)

Level 10 warm-up?! You are so crazy. I'm slowly working up to your level. The stairmaster is a huge challenge for me and something I look forward to every day :p Just wondering, why do you do the stairmaster so often? Why do you prefer that over other machines?

Your work-outs are amazing :) I cannot wait until I can just lift and do weight training like that.
 
Jes, I don't use the treadmill on doctors orders due to my plantar tendon and I had been using the cross trainer to warmup but I am thinking of having a go at the climbing machine next for my warmup before lifting.
 
today was class for my PT course we have one more week before having a break for xmas holidays. has several people notice that i had lost weight around the middle today. Will be doing a workout this afternoon. After yesterdays effort on legs I hav not got any sign of soreness and I thin I underdone my workout. I must do some hamstring raises but today will be mostly upper body.

Is your plantar tendon probs plantar ficiatus? (can't spell that lol)
 
yep, I strained the tendon running and it has never fully recovered, I had month when i wasn't allowed to lift. Lifting is genrally ok as the force is directed through the heel but running is not as it places to much impact on the foot I have stretching exercises I do for it and if it gets bad I strap it.

Today

Cardio climbing machine 5 minutes, this machine kicked my fat arse and made lvl 12 stairmaster look easy. I now know why I have never seen anybody using this machine since i have been a member of this gym :ack2: I have now found my new warmup routine
