Rachel, the hygienist worked this morning and i think i might have convinced her to do the Great South Run too :hurray: :hurray: She has done running in the past but hasn't for ages. She did 2 runs at the weekend (apparantly i had inspired her to start again) and i convinced her to come running with me tomorrow night. I am going to run out on the streets for the first time!!!!!!

My stomach was ok for most of the day but i had an apple as i was clearing up at work and my stomach was really bloated and painful at the gym so i am going to stop eating apples (raw ones anyway) and see if that helps.

I was going to do 30 mins on the cross trainer but my hip started hurting so i only did 20. I haven't done much on the cross trainer for ages so i think i am going to have to build it up again. Really enjoyed it and was so impressed with how fast i did it :) (thanks Sarah for inspiring me to go on it again)
I wasn't going to run but found myself on the treadmill, whoops, but my shin started hurting (Lee at the gym said it was probably shin splints!!!) so i stopped and went on the bike instead, especially seeing as i am going running with Rachel tomorrow.

I am so excited about doing this run in October!!! I can't wait. Also it will make me definalty stay on track now!!!

Joh Go back and read the lovely things i said to you on yesterdays post :smilielol5:

Jess Firstly OMG i am so so proud of you for your running today :) I can;t put into words how it would make me feel if you stick with it (and you will, i'll bloody make sure you do) Just think how awesome it will be to be able to drop Mario off and just go running, it will set you up for the day. Running in the morning ALWAYS puts me in the best mood ALL day. And i would love you to get that feeling too. You have changed my life and i would love to be able to return the favour :)
Love and kisses back at ya babe :grouphug:

Sarah Aww thank you sweetie :blush5: Your lovely words really touched me. I love that i can help others as everyone here has totally changed my life. I don't know if you read the beginning of my diary but i was in such a low low place and these awesome darlings have turned that around. I have NEVER ever managed to get this slim or fit in all the years of yo-yo dieting. I never thought i deserved to be slim. I just love the support everyone gives each other here. Stick with us hun and you will reach your target in no time....We both will :)

Isnt t just lovely to be exited about something that has to do with fitness????!!!

Youwill make it hae\ppen and will be souper strong by then!!!!

Dinner: 2 flatbread with camembert & chicken noodle soup (470 cals)
Snacks: 3 coffees, 3 satsumas, 2 cereal bars, 2 kiwi's & a rice cake (393 cals)

Someone brought another box of bloody chocolate biscuits in today!!! AND they left the inner packet onto of the box so all the lovely chocolate covered biscuits were waving and going 'coooeey' at me!!! I stuffed them back into their box twice!! and didn't eat any :hurray: :hurray:

I went for my run with Rachel this evening. She was really worried that she wouldn't manage it but she did. She did say that i was really fast and she was proud of herself that she kept up with me. I actually ran slower for her which made my day cos it showed me how fit i really am :hurray: :hurray: It was really easy lol!!

Jess I am gonna check out your diary now! So so excited for you at the beginning of your running journey :)

AHi hotty. You make me giggle :) I am so glad that there are so many smileys in your post - otherwise that sarcasm would go down like a lead balloon ;) haha. You're awesome. You pretty much gave me the reaction I was looking for! :hurray:

It is just fantastic that you've given yourself such a totally achievable and exciting goal to work towards! And it isn't until October - that is SO COOL that your confidence has you being there, no problem! I LOVE THAT! :hurray: And hahahaha - how cool is it that you are at the point now where you kind of have to make sure you aren't running TOO FAST for the people you are with! INSANITY! LOOK AT YOU! :beerchug:

So my mum doesn't eat raw apples any more for the same reason - it makes her tummy hurt and she says that it almost feels a bit acidic in her mouth... she says it is a lot better if they are peeled, but pffft. Too hard.

And those bloody chocolate biscuits. I'd be writing an anonymous note in my blood, and put it inside the box, demanding them to rethink their ways. :D Good idea, don't you reckon? Okay, you can just use jam if you really want to.

Exercise: rest day, forgot my crunches, whoops!

I forgot to put my exercise on yesterday.....I did a 5k run :)
My stomach had been shit again this afternoon :cuss: This is really beginning to piss me off now!!!! I've kinda come to the point where i think i am just gonna have to live on bloody porridge!!!! But had a bit of a brain wave and i have made some extra of tonights dinner and put it in a lunch box so i can have it at work for lunch tomorrow. I seem fine with cooked veg, lets see how i get on with that. If that doesn't work then porridge it is. I can't believe it is taking sooooo long for my stomach to behave after a week of eating rubbish, i wont be doing that again.

Can't remember how many perfect days i have done but still going strong. Just farting myself to oblivion

Joh That post seems so horrid and nasty after how you have been treated recently :blush5: I am glad you took it in the way it was ment. You are truly a wonderful person (who doesn't deserve that sort of abuse) and i would be totally lost without you on here. You fucking ROCK!!!
I know, i still can't believe i have bloody entered it. 10 miles!!!! scary huh but i will do it and the fact that it is so far away makes sure that i have to stay on track. It cost me £40 to enter. I aint throwing that away lol.
I did feel really chuffed that i had to run slower for Rach, especially as she is the skinniest person i know :) I really didn't know what kind of pace i did, i thought i was really quite slow and for someone to say that i was 'sooooooo fast' was the best feeling :hurray: It still blows me away that i can run at all :)
Cheers for the tip on peeling the apple, i will give that a go :) I have an apple at the end of work if i am going to the gym afterwards so i dont really wanna stop it cos it really keeps my energy up. It just makes it difficult when i am struggling not to fart while i'm running  (yeah TMI lol i know :smilielol5: )
Regarding the biscuits, i thought i was being a cow thinking about putting salt on them......blood lol your are just a little bit special :)
It was lovely to read on facebook about you being able to watch your tummy moving. I loved that, i wasted hours just watching and feeling that. It is the most weird but beautiful feeling in the world. Cherise it cos it will feel so strange when Beanie is out in the big wild world. I use to stare at Jack and still couldn't get my head round the fact that he was the cause of my alien belly. And now the little shit is as tall as me!!!!!
Glad you had a better day today sweetie. Love and extra squishy hugs Xxx

Hey sexiness!!!!!!! I'm SO SORRY I've been neglecting you, been hectic around here the passed couple of days. I am SO SO proud of you for signing up for that run!! That's so fucking awesome!!! You'll SMASH IT!! Well done on the 3lbs lost too, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (((Insert Super Woman emoticon here)))

Sorry you're still having stomach problems- seriously have a look around for some probiotic tablets, they'll help settle it faster. Also just try avoiding anything rich/spicy until it does settle, also cauliflower and broccoli can be gas producing- try to avoid anything that will cause bloating until it's better. I know it's really frustrating but you can eat all these things again when it's better!

i like the way you just weright down "i did a 5k run"!!!So casual! So easy!!!i want to be like that as well!!!

another great day/

I just dont know how you do that keep in the limits every day.Its like you never go over! How do you manage it and still keep yourself full?

I have had 1400 really struggling though and thinking i did super!!!!!

ps you just had perfect day 6!!!!another 4 to go!!!!

7 perfect days done - 3 to go!!! Thanks Jess :)

OK I am now going to be eating just porridge for a few days. I was bloated after my lunch. Part of me thinks it might actually be coffee so i am not going to have one with my lunch and in the afternoon. Just morning coffee and see if that makes a difference. I am going into town on saturday so will try and find these probiotic tablets Lucy is on about. I am just so fed up with it now!!!

Someone else brought another box of bloody biscuits into work today!!!!! They are all so bloody horrible to me lol.l was good and didn't have any and kept stuffing them back in the box, even when the packet had got wet tee hee.

I'm busy tonight, sorting a short break holiday :)

Lucy You haven't ignored me sweetie, you have babies :) I'm going into town on saturday and i'll try and remember to look for some of those tablets, until then i am just gonna eat porridge cos i know that that doesn't bloat me.....Oh how interesting that is gonna be lol.
Loving the kittens, they are adorable, sigh, i want one :(

Jess Or should i call you super running woman in process :) I think i keep my cals down by having low cal meals and i snack a lot! I don't eat cheese or eggs or much bread cos they are high in cals, Ricecakes are pretty filling and they are 30 cals, i don't know if you can get them there and cereal bars are great too.
Again i am so so so so so proud of you for your run :) Just think in a few short months you will be running like i do :) XX

AAnother perfect day... no surprises, you crazy thing! Amazing food and amazing work out :) AND more of that amazing self control.

Good idea cutting back on the coffee and seeing if that works out. Too much coffee can do all sorts of strange things... And I LOVE kiwi fruit! I had forgotten about them! I'm going to go get some tomorrow. :)

Ooo a short holiday break... where where where where where where where where? :) exciting!

Kate Thanks!!!i DO OWE IT TO YOU , YOU KNOW!!!:grouphug:

hAD ANOTHER PERFECT DAY!!!You never seem to fail something you put your mind too,ans i envy that! You are a very determined person!

How on earth do you get a roast woth only 300 cals??????I had SPINACH with some rice in today and that was 680 cals (with the cheese)

So i guess you're right about cheese and bread....i just cant imagine NOT eating cheese with my food......................................................................................

Ricecakes!i used to get them but then started on thre mini toasts again with the same ammount of cals, but i do think the rice cakes are more filling ..thanks for reminding me that!!!

You had a great workout as well!Im really happy 4 u Kate! Not only have you managed to loose many pounds but you seem to have changed mentality as well and that is the KEY to healthy!

You are eating healthy , loosing weight and working out!plus you are a runner now!!!!

Need to say more?

Hi Kate, You are doing so well keeping to within your cals. I think your porridge must be the key to filling you up with minimum, but sustaining cals. Do you use instant or do you cook yours. Do you have it with low-fat milk? Any sweetener? I'm thinking of trying a new breakfast. I have gone off yoghurt a bit while I've been sick. Your resistance muscles get stronger as you go. You should be so proud of yourself, you strong woman! I'm keen to hear about your short break too. Going away? I love reading your diary & can imagine that you are just like we see here in your diary. It's so honest & lively & expressive. Lots of love to you sweetie xoxo Cate

ADAY 196

Breakfast: 50 porridge (180 cals)
Lunch: 75g porridge with a banana and a cereal bar (472 cals)
Dinner: Yep more porridge 75g with blueberries (302 cals)
Snacks: Only 2 coffee's today, 3 cereal bars! (300 cals)
Total calories = 1254

Exercise: Rest day

Today i shall be mostly be eating porridge!!!!! and cereal bars!! But my stomach seems happier with it :hurray: so it's all good. I am gonna try and do the same tomorrow.

8 perfect days done = 3 left to do

I have struggles with the biscuits at work today, i so wanted one and very very nearly gave in!!!! I just imagined having to tell you guys which is what stopped me.
I have bought myself a tub of Ben&Jerry's Phish food ice cream!!! For when i am feeling proper rubbish after my surgery on tuesday. Ben&Jerry's is better than any painkillers :)

I have been really neglectful the last few days, just been really busy so i am gonna check out everyones diaries now.

Joh You mention my amazing self control, well, if you could see the conflict that goes on in my head you would laugh. I suppose i only think it and don't actually eat it so that is good. :)
Kiwi's totally rock :)
I'm not sure where we will be going on our break. There is a deal you get in one of the newspapers where you stay at a holiday park proper cheap but you have to give 5 choices of destination and 5 dates!!!! So far we have picked the first 2 choices and they are 'the Cotswolds' and Cornwall. Me, Mark, Jack and Our friend Rob are going so it should be a laugh, we will probably go in April.....Can't wait.

Jess Aww you are welcome :) I love that i have inspired you to run. You will love it when you can just run, it is the best feeling ever and that feeling lasts for hours afterwards. My friend Rob has been feeling pretty down at the moment and i have persuaded him to go for a run yesterday and today and it has really helped him. I'm getting everyone to do it :)
I don't use any oil when i roast my veg, i use frylite so the cals are nothing. I weigh the potato (74 cals) and the chicken is really low too, and veg very very low. Rice and pasta are pretty high for the amount of food you get.

Cate I find it weird that i am managing to stick within my cals. I do wanna pig out on rubbish but i seem to manage to stop myself, luckly. I do keep thinking of having to admit it to you guys which stops me. I dread to think how i would be coping if i didn't have you all :grouphug:
I make my porridge with water. I put a 50g scoop of it in the bowl, sprinkle some sweetner on top, pour on the water and chuck it in the microwave. Then a bit more sweetner on top and a little milk (about as much as you would put in a coffee) to cool it down really. I do like porridge, i might change my mind after eating it all day for a few days though lol
Cheers for loving my diary sweetie, you make me blush :blush5:

Oh Kate, I blush like crazy when someone says something nice to me in my diary. I usually jump right out & come back later! I'll try the porridge soon. I don't like using artificial sweeteners though. I'll wait until after I see the Naturopath on Mon & see what she recommends. It's great that you can resist all the temptations that you have put in front of you at work. It just goes to show that you are really committed! Well done you! Lots of love, Cate.

Hey Kathunibun,

I love your screenname by the way! thanks for stopping by my diary...alwasy good to hear from you and certainly good to get your encouragement! You are doing so well and I really enjoy watching that little bug on your ticker move closer and closer to 150...one of these days I'll get there!

Thanks again and thanks for all your encouraging posts to me...and everyone else!

Sarah

ADAY 197

Breakfast: 50g porridge & a cereal bar (270 cals)
Lunch: 75g porridge & a banana (360 cals)
Dinner: Yep more freaking porridge 75g with blueberries in it (302 cals)
Snacks: 2 coffee's, cappuccino and 2 cereal bars (284 cals)
Total calories = 1216

Exercise: Nothing today, lazy day :)

9 perfect day done - 2 to go!!

I can't believe how close i am to day 200! It is going to fall on the day i have my op done so i don't have a clue how that is gonna go lol. Mind you, i was away on day 100 and had a terrible food day then too!

I've had a lovely day today :) We had a nice lie in and i woke up feeling proper skinny :hurray: My stomach has felt great today, still a bit farty  but no pain!!! Mark had to go into Barnstaple to see the Osteopath this morning so i went up town on my own and.......I wore a denim, dungaree mini skirt that i bought when i got those dresses!!!! I was so scared but was brave and wore it today!! I had someone tell me i looked really trendy! how cool is that. I did the town shopping stuff and went for a coffee on my own with the newspaper, it was lovely. I bought some probiotic tablets that Lucy mentioned and they cos £10 for 20 days worth!!!!!!! but you only have to do it for that long, i can then just take multi vitimins with probiotic after that. Then went and had my nails and some waxing done. I was talking to Sophie, who does my nails and she was saying that she needs to get fit but just can't be bothered and i ended up saying that i will take her out to do the first session of C25K tomorrow!!! She was really up for it and excited about it by the time i left, hopefully there is another person that i have converted to running. I had a lovely long bath when i got home and then sat and watched some Tv for the rest of the afternoon. Lovely :)

Tomorrow is weigh day and i don't have a clue whether i have lost, i know i said i felt skinny this morning but that is probably because i am not so bloated. We will see. Jane can't make it tomorrow for our run so i aim to run the extra bit too, in one go, no interval running. I am really looking forward to the challenge :) If i manage it i will have run for 7 miles!! Exciting huh!!! Then when i finish i am gonna call Sophie and run with her thru her first C25K, I think i needed my extra rest day today lol

Cate I'm the same, i find it really weird that people find me inspiring, i just don't get it and it really makes me blush when you guys say such wonderful things in my diary. I think it is really hard with all the stuff at work, it's weird that i can ignore all the christmas stuff home here (most of the time) but at work it waves and shouts 'come on, eat me, ya know ya wanna' all the bloody time.

Sarah My screen name is the beginning of my email address, i'm rubbish at remembering user names so i use that. It is a bit embarassing now but when we first got the internet all those years ago it seemed funny. When me and Mark first got together 21 years ago he use to call me Kate, hunibun, darling, love of my life, sexpot. So i used that first bit. It is pretty embarassing when i have to tell people what my email address is, little did i know back then how the internet would take over the world lol.

Omg Kate!!!Another person?????that company of the app should give you a job!!!!or at least some cash!!!!Seems people get a look at you and are really motivated to get thir behinds in some shape!you Are the inspiration!!!Love it!!!!I hope that girl does it!and likes it!Well at least gives it a try!Nothing to loose is there?

I was "lectured" from my husband an BF that i must check my heart rate while running cause 1) its dangeous to over do it for the heart 2) it is much more effective to do it in the right range. What do you think of this?i have no idea.I am going to google it , but really did you ever check yours ?love to read your opinion./

another Perfect day,i m sorry you had to only eat porrige its good though to hear you are feeling better.Did you take any of the pills you bought? Is it safe to take them without a prescription?Probably is.Aw Kate!I so glad to have "met" you!You are really great!!!!and good for wearing a trendy little outfit and looking good.I also think that spending time with yourself only , having a coffee alone and reading the paper is lovely.I used to do that so many time when i was single.I even used to go swimming to the beach alone , with my earphones on and a good book!

AI LOST 4LB!!!!!!! :hurray: :hurray:

i HAVE MANAGED TO LOSE ALL THE WEIGHT I GAINED OVER CHRISTMAS.......So so chuffed with that :)

Now i am off to try and do a 7 mile run, excited but really nervous. I really want to do this but it is 2 miles longer than i have ever run (in one go) before!! Wish me luck!

Kate how great is that???you lost the weight right back to where you left off no damage done!!!!WOW!!!Amazing you did that real fast!!!!

HOpe you enjoy the run!REally really goin to be waiting for your comments on it!

Have a great time~~~~!!!!!

AOMG!!! I BLOODY DID IT!!!! AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

It wasn't as hard as i thought either!! i bloody loved it. it took me 1hr 20 mins to run 7 miles, which iss 11.26k!!!!

I can't explain how totally chuffed i am that i did it and so easily. I'm blown away with myself!!!

Just finishing my second breakfast then gonna have a hot bath, it was freaking freezing out this morning.
