I am feeling the same no workout this week and crapy eating so we have to accept it and move on ....next week just has to be better!
You are so right Veronique, we have to just accept it and move on, it's only one week of our lives. I'm determined to not let it continue on. Next week will be better for the both of us!

Thanks so much Tik :) I managed to get in some cardio and strength training yesterday :) When I develop more of a solid routine I'll note exactly what I'm doing lol. I think it's good to have it noted so you can refer back to what you did on a week with a good loss.


Well everyone I took a sneak preview on the scale today and I gained back 5.6lbs, I haven't completely gotten back off of salt yet, so I really think it is water weight in addition to eating like a starving wild boar in the rainforest :D Anyways we'll see what tomorrow will hold :) I might not be able to get on tomorrow because I have some major assignments I'm working on...including a programming assignment >_< *feels anxiety* lol But I'll be back later to read up on everyone and I'll be sure to update my weight by no later than Sunday!

But to be far, look at your AMAZING loss last week.
You'll still have lost like 4lbs in the last two weeks which is great anyway!!
 
Good luck on your assignment! Is this week a break week for you? It's my "reading" week this coming week - and of course I'm swamped up to my ears with work :)

I can't wait to hear what you're doing with the cardio! I agree with you, it's good to keep track, that way you can go back and look at how you've improved :)

And about your weight gain - I think you've hit the nail. Salt can really make you retain water and gain just water weight! I know it's happened to me before! Perhaps up your water intake and you'll notice a difference :)

Hey hon, just popping to say hello and catch up with things. Sounds like you have been doing great lately and don't worry about the scales bouncing around a bit - I remember not losing much weight at one point but going down a size .. Its unpredictable sometimes!

Just dropping by to see how you're doing. Don't worry about the slight raise in weight. I'm with Jill on this one: salt makes a hugeeee difference in weight and retaining water.

I hope you aren't too swamped with school work. You have so much to handle; I don't know how you do it!

Awww guys you really made me feel so much better *hugs* I'll try to be back to give proper responses later, this is a crazy week for me school wise I have three exams, five labs, and so many quizzes, tests, and assignments. I think you are all right about the salt and also TOM is here and I gain at least three pounds at that time -_- Saturday's official weigh in was 268 I really have to run but I just wanted to update everyone and I've been doing ok diet wise but injured my knee during some crazy workout lol sorry this is so jumbled lol and I really appreciate all of you for responding and thanks so much for stopping by healthyjess :)

Thx so much Tik! :D This week in school is KILLER for me, I hope I make it through on the A side. So far i have been keeping a good pace, I finished all of my earth science labs save one, and now I'm working on computer labs. Next week will be a reading week for me tho -- i have a chemistry placement exam coming up before the second week of march...I've been threatening to take this exam for a while now and time has run out lolol if I don't take it now I'll be placed in a remedial chem class:svengo:

OK so although I went up from 263, I actually did not do so bad this month, I started out at 275 and set a goal of 267 and came in just one pound short of that goal: 268. So I'll see if I can rev things up this month. SUPER tired today and I have a major CalcII exam today. I absolutely HAVE to make an A on this test -_- but my brain is not all here, I think I'll go get a cup of coffee.

I took a look at the Spring challenge, and I think I'll join :D

I wanted to be @225 by June, but realistically that does not seem as if it will happen, so I will be setting my weight loss goal @ -35lbs. Wish me luck!

OH and I did ok on my other two exams---finished labs and all :D

Thanks Justina! I think 4lbs is great. :hurray: awesome job. I remember there was a month that I lost only one pound...and then another when I gained five :p
I haven't set a goal for the end of march yet, but you know,,,,I feel like setting an aggressive one: -12lbs by the end of March. I'll be 256 if I lose 12 more lbs.

OMG Tik I am so past the pulling my hair out stage, I am now at the banging my head against something hard stage:banghead:lol I did ok on my calc II exam...a high "B" which is okay as long as I make A's for the rest. I realise with calcII that doing a lot of exercises is important. But I feel good that it's over with and I can move on...the upcoming lectures are the fun stuff :D anyways sorry to go off on my nerd tangent there :p

No plans for St. Patty's yet, but I will definitely be avoiding the green beer lolol

Warning...partially EMO post

Well I checked the scale this morning for the March and Spring challenges....down 0.2lbs to 267.8--I was just happy to see the 267 part of it :D I think weight loss should be getting better. This past week I realised that I have not only been using food for comfort at times, but I've been using it to fill some sort of void--big difference. I've heard professionals say this sort of thing before and thought, "What a ton of :icon_bs:!" I only realised it now because it's no longer working lol. Not sure what to do about it all, but at least I know I'll be better able to stick to eating healthier things now that the thrill is gone :p

Well off to join the challenges. I hope everyone has a terrific day!:party:
 
I always get so excited when you drop to a new low number, even if it only takes 0.1 to get to there!! Congratulations and have an awesome day my lovely!
 
congrats on the weight loss. hopefully this means your plateau has been broken :)

i think that understanding how you use food is part of the battle. it's good that you recognize how you use it, because now you can work to change it. i know i eat when i am upset or bored. i hope your exams are going well (studying was ALWAYS a time that i seriously over-ate lol). keep up the good work. we're all behind ya. :)
 
hey Xenon, congrats on the weight loss for Feb - it is a real achievement, every lb off is a lb closer to your goal!!

Rethinking your relationship with food is a HUGE part of the battle - I used to eat when I was bored, upset, happy AND when I wa tackling somethign hard like exams or a tough day at work = I'd treat myself to "get through", I'd reward myself with a nice dinner if something had gone right, I'd comfort myself with nice food if I'd had a bad day, I'd snack if I had nothing to do and was mulching around. When I step back now and look at it...well, I had a food justification for pretty much ANY situation...so I must have been always eating which is why I got SO fat!

Conquor that relationship with food, or at least understand it enough to temper it, and you really are halfway there.
