I got the job!!! They negotiated some salary up for me, quite a bit more than I thought they'd be willing to do. I am so excited! :D So I start May 1st. So exciting!! :)
 
Hooray!! I'm glad you got your new job :D I hope this one makes you much happier than the last one (by having the people pick up after themselves!)
 
Yippeee! What a great outcome. You got the work you wanted w/out having to do it as slave labor - lol! that's such good news. May 1st will be here before you know it!!

Thanks everyone!! I really appreciate all the support.

And.. I need to confess here, please don't be too disappointed with me. But I'm throwing in the towel with my dieting for THIS week. I just feel down trodded and the fact that I keep beating myself up over all of it, is NOT helping. I know it may seem ridiculous, but I just need a break. I need to recoup and refocus and get my head on straight! So... forgive me.. I'll be back on in the diaries hopefully this weekend, if not then, on Monday.

But, but... we were supposed to get motivated together yesterday, remember? Plus, no beating yourself up allowed! Whatever bad food choices happened, they are in the past, and today is a new day! It sounds like you need a mental vacation again, but can you stay reasonable on food if you're taking a diet break, honestly? You still have to avoid starbucks for 2 weeks, whether you're taking a mental break or not!!! I just don't want you to use "the break" as an excuse to eat whatever you want in whatever you want amounts. You can practice your future "maintenance" diet, but remember no pigging out!

It sounds like you need mental rest, and that's ok to take it, but make sure that mental rest does not translate into ben and jerrys for dinner.

I'm supporting and respecting your decision, and I wish you the best, but I personally think that you can tough it out and stay with it. You may want to relax the rules a bit, and up your calories if you're feeling deprived and hungry, but make sure you're eating healthy foods, and not packing in junk!
 
NTL: Don't worry I swear I am not going bizerk and eating out Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's from the local stores. :D Thank you for your supportive comments. I think I MAY keep posting here, if I have the mental energy.

This is NOT a slight to any of you.. or necessarily about dieting. I just feel tired mentally. :) But I promise I will be good. See my food so far today below! :) Anyhow..thanks ladies.. !!

Breakfast: bagel w/ light cream cheese 300 calories
Morning Snack: special K bar 90 calories
Lunch: sandwich 240 calories
Afternoon Snack: special K bar 90 calories
Subtotal: 720 calories
 
Know what? Sometimes I need a break from the boards, and sometimes I need a break from the 'oh gotta be so perfect' crap with dieting. There's no way you can do it day in and day out. I know too that serious weight trainers will often take breaks of a week or two and then get back to it, doing their slimmer times and thier not slimmer times during training. I think it makes perfect sense, and you are following your heart. Dont sweat it. After I reach goal, I plan on doing the exact same thing the entire week of my son's wedding. I DESERVE it!! and so do u.

Little update..
I gave my resignation letter today and told all my co-workers. SO far only one has not responded. Kind of wondering if he's even got his email, he works at another location. Anyhow.. everyone was really great about taking the news. Sad to see me go, but happy for my new opportunity. So they're being great. My last day is April 26th. So things are a litlte hectic here.. Everyone came in the office at different times so I had to tell them all staggering through out the morning. Kind of batty!!

Plus.. my invitations for the wedding should show up ANY day now.. s o I may be swimming in that sort of stuff soon. :) I'll post again as soon as I can!!!

Hey NewLeaf, congrats on the new opportunity! :)

Yeah, I went through the whole resignation thing a few weeks ago -- not fun stuff. I gave them two weeks notice, which was plenty of time to get my stuff turned over to others, but instead they waited until the last day, and then went into mass panic mode. :p

So hopefully your departure goes smoother than that! :) Best of luck to ya!
