A new beginning...

Thanks you guys.. I def. plan on running a few more races. When I ran my first marathon, of course I was like "Never doing THAT again" but, afterwards.. the bug hit me. but I'm not sure my body will put up wtih another marathon training. Half marathons I"m game for. So we'll see!! I'll letcha know guys!! ;)
 
Unrelated to Weight Loss, Need Input Please!!

Ok guys.. I am on the hunt and need some gift ideas for the wedding!! What I realy need are some ideas or suggestions for thank-you gifts to my parents and my fh's parents.

All I can find online the wedding websites are things like mongramed gifts, pocket watches, or personalized little gifts like that, poems etc. I just feel like they d eserve "something more." but I am lost when trying to come up with ideas!! I was hoping since there are so many of you here.. one or two of you might have some suggestoins... any ideas??? :) Also.>Skyler is on the same hunt too.. so any ideas for both of us would be great!! ;)
 
Give them something that they would appreciate and use, something they may be interested in. We ordered a copy of our wedding album to be made specifically for my inlaws, because we knew they would appreciate having a memory stay forever with them. I think we also gave them a few photos.
 
I gave my bridesmaids little boxes that were the same pattern as my dishes w/ a bride and groom on the top. I use mine all the time and I thought it was sort of special. Beyond that, gosh! I would be stuck, too.

Regarding the marathons, don't forget: Planning and executing a wedding is a marathon in itself!

Yesterday, squat for cardio. But today is a new day, I need to focus on that. Even though I'm feeling pretty frustrated. Its not unreasonable to lose 10lbs in two months, right?! If I can stay on track. Gosh.. if I had just done it all this time I could already be in the 140's or 130's like Kate and Skyler... AGHH! Ok.. I CAN do this. I have to do this.

Tuesday, the pedometer is ON!! YES, BACK ON! :D
Breakfast: bagel with light cream cheese. No coffee, No Starbucks. diet coke 300 calories
Lunch:salad w/ grilled chicken and a bit of honey mustard dressing 350 calories

Goals for today: I will stay at 1200 calories. I will NOT eat dessert. I WILL get to 10,000 steps. I WILL go running. I WILL go to the gym.

Better thoughts for today: My new job sounds like it is going to ROCK!! I pick up my employee packet tomorrow and they really want me to be involved int heir marketing and are hoping I start brainstorming.. Which I've already done!! Gosh this will be the first job in a long time that I am actually doing what they say I'll be doing!! I can't wait!!

Looking good, NL! Keep on with this positive attitude, because you CAN do this! I like your goals for today! You can reach them!

Hey girl, I totally feel ya! I have those same thoughts all the time! BUT those thoughts are not helping you. Just forget about where you "should" be and move on.


Congrats' on the job hun, I can imagine how exciting this is for you. What a great time in your life huh?

Good for you for making a statement! Thats a really good idea, I might start that on my journal as well. ;)

Gosh, you're making me so nostalgic for the last time I took on a new job. It is such an exciting time! I will never regret quitting that job to spend more time w/ my daughters, but everything is a sacrifice. A great job is really a blessing.

Chris, its really motivating to post them. Plus Skyler is being my little rooting buddy and Paula. Helping me get motivated again. :) I can do somethin in 8 weeks!! Plus it'll keep me going AFTER the wedding!

M02 and GonnaB: Thanks ladies.. I don't start until May 1st, btu I can't WAIT to get my brainstorming ideas out there to them. It'll be so exciting. I will def. fill you ALL in. :)
 
I agree! Use the past and learn from it, but don't dwell on it or you won't get anywhere! I'm glad your new job is shaping out great too :D

You can TOTALLY do 1200, no desert, and exercise, we've all seen ya do it before :D

okay, last I checked not all of us delightful beings were created the same!!! That means YOU WILL GET THERE AT YOUR OWN PACE!:D You can lose that 10 in 2 months! YOU CAN!!!!

Ok..uhm. I DID go running with both my doggies (which I am sure was quite the spectacle!!) But, I took off my pedometer and forgot to put it on to go running.. OOPS. :( Then after running, Sid and I went on a long bike ride! SO I feel really good about all of that. I traded in the bike ride for my gym trip. But I'm going tomorrow morning. :D

Plus.. TOM is starting so I know.. that MIGHT be a bit of my extra weight. We'll see!! Thanks guys. I'm so glad you all support me still even after my aggravating slip ups! :)

Dinner: Salad with a wee bit of ranch dressing drizzled and grilled chicken. and one Special K Bar. 490 calories
Total Calories 1190

Steps last I saw: 5000
 
Hey Dana! Every time I read your diary, I want a bagel with cream cheese. Kind of strange since the last time I tried that I didn't like it. :rolleyes: But I think I will give it another go. :p You are doing great! Congratulations on running with the dogs and going on the bike ride. :D
