A new beginning...

Exercise: 30 minutes bike, 30 minutes lower body weights
Breakfast: 1 cup of smart start cereal 200 calories
Water: 24oz so far
Lunch: Taco Bell quesidilla 540 calories, plain nachos 190 calories, 730 calories :mad:
Exercise:20 minute walk with my dogs mid morning.
SubTotal Calories: 930
Dinner:crock pot meal, chicken and dumplings 1 cup, 310 calories
Exercise:1 hr with Biggest Loser DVD (good stuff! I'll update on that later)
Total Calories:1240

So yes, I went over 1200, but I was STARVING.. :) And I got that extra 20 minute walk in with my dogs, so I can't be too bad off! :D


Thank you everyone for your great comments in my journal every day, it really keeps me rolling along and feeling responsible for what I post here and what I eat during the day!! :)

So hoorah!! I made it up this morning at 5:15, and to the gym by 5:31, already a ton of others there, but I managed to get a bike and truck away! I am feeling really good. A little tired, but coffee will take care of that for now. Even more excitingly, my Crate and Barrel furniture is coming today. Yay no more sitting on the floor with my laptop!! :D I am so excited!!! :) Just need to get in an hour tonight. I hope my BL DVD will be in today, so I can do that after work!

i hope your furniture turns up too - i love things being delivered!
 
The cleaning crew... lol, it makes me laugh that others are asking about this, but you are so here goes!

We've had a crew in here, hired on in our office probably some 6 or 7 years ago. Since the company moved into this office building. Long before my time! I've never been impressed with what they do. In fact its down right poor work. Now mind you they don't charge a lot, but regardless, they gripe about ridiculous things and are very demanding. Not to mention when they DO come early, they gab my ear off about things I could care less,but I am polite and chat with them.:mad: The problem being is that I can then get no work done, and nor can I get out of the office on time because they're still "chatting". ack!! :eek:

Anyhow, I've got a few different companies coming to do "walk through" of my office this week so I can get estimates of their services. I've already gotten one and have two more to go. Hopefully I can find a suitable replacement that everyone will agree upon ! ;) Wish me luck !

Great job on makin' it to the gym this morning!!! The closest I got to exercising at that time this morning was making hubby's humongeous lunch (that lucky dog has a REAL BLT!!! WITH CHEESE EVEN!!! how unfair!LOL). :rolleyes:

Here's hopin' you can find a suitable replacement for your slacking cleaning crew :) I mean really, if they are gonna complain and slack they should at least wait until they won't get caught! :p :D LOL (Couldn't resist - I just couldn't! hehehehe)

Great job on the gym!!! You're doing so well :) Glad to hear about your Crate and Barrel too, I love them. I ordered votive holders from them for favors at my wedding :) Such a great deal!! Anywho keep rocking!!!!

BUT, as you already know, I forced myself to get in that morning cardio this morning and I'm back on track.... time's a wasting and I don't have any to waste! ;)

Kate, yep, I am a :eek: morning person!! It drives my FH nuts. :) Its just that once I am awake, I'm up. Theres no putting me back to bed. Which kinda sucks if it happens like at 3am!!

As for the cleaning crew, well get this, they actually looked under my desk one evening while they were starting to clean, to see if it NEEDED any vaccuming. Becaues they didn't DO it every week!!! WTF, why would you TELL the person that pays you that? GESH. If yer gonna slack off and not even vacuum weekly, don't freakin tell me! :)

Angela, ooh those sound like awesome favors!! :) We're just doing chocolate covered personalized fortune cookies inside chinese take out boxes, tied off with an orange ribbon (our colors). Agh. .reminds me I gotta mail out the ribbon. oops. :)

Paula, :eek: Girl its a good thing you DID do that cardo this morning. Or I'd be flying out there to kick yer butt. :D
 
OMG! I feel like the world's biggest moron. I just ate some Taco Bell for my lunch, and thinking I was being really good because I had these same things before and calculated the calories yada yada. And as I"m munching away, I start pulling up the website and calculating the calories to enter in my journal. During this time I am thinking to myself, I can't believe this fit into my caloric range, because its so freaking yummy, and normally I can't have too much of fast food, etc. So then I see their nutrition guide and realize the last time I looked at it, I was looking at the section of the food weight!! NOT calories!!! so I just ate 730 calories of Taco Bell. I knew it tasted too good to be true. OH I am so mad at myself! Alas.. I WILL stay within 1200 today. :) At least I got a 20 minute walk in when my furniture was delivered. Which by the way looks FABULUOS!! :D posting pictures next!

You should try artichokes! There's hardly any calories, fat, etc and they are SO GOOD!!! You could honestly eat like a billion of them and still not get 730 calories... Besides, they are SO GOOD (did I already mention that?) ;)
Anyway, don't sweat it; you've gotten in a little extra cardio today and you still have tonight's workout... you'll be fine!

Oh man, I can't believe its been so long since I checked your journal, I missed all the hilarity and didn't even get to join in! ;)

You're doing wicked-awesome with your food and exercise, NewLeaf, I only wish I could be so good. I call it quits after two 20 minute sessions let alone and hour plus twenty more! :eek:

As far as food goes, I've taken to veggie subs lately, the small ones are just under 200 calories each if you don't have any sauces on them (though I usually get the sub sauce, only adds like 50 cals), and they are still pretty filling! And don't worry I've made my fair share of calculation slip-ups myself... last week I had a big crunch sandwich from KFC and it was like 600 calories too! For such a small sandwich! Well, won't make that mistake again (actually I almost did today, I wanted to get a slice of pizza, but it turns out THAT is almost 700... stupid delicious greasy pepperoni :p)
 
Hi again guys. Well I did it. Had FH take new shots of me in the same outfit. I'm a little disappointed, that I only see the teensy bit of difference. I'm not even sure if I am just imagining it. Guess I need to step it up some more. Its just tough, all this work and it'd be nice to see more impressive physical results in a photo.
