A new beginning...

I saw your pics and I think you look great!!! We're always the last ones to notice :)

Angela, thanks!! That is JUST the pick-up I needed this morning. :) Been feeling a little burned out lately!

We all get that feeling believe me. One thing you can count on with me is I'm very honest, if I didn't notice a difference I wouldn't tell you, that's the last thing I would want anyone to do to me. You really do look great!

Ok Day #4, I CAN do this. As I've mentioned before, I am getting a little mentally burned out by the two-day cardio and well.. just working out and eating better in GENERAL. The last few days I find myself going batty thinking about chocolate, ice cream (my weakness) and chips! I am taking Sunday off, and one thing I am allowing myself is a few chips for Super Bowl Sunday. Also a day off of exercising. I think this will be a very good break for me physically AND mentally. :) But as my sister says "WE GOT THIS!" So I WILL trudge on. You all are encouraging me and I will NOT let you guys down!! :)

Now concerning the Biggest Loser DVD, Im going to make another post seperately about that. Maybe a whole new thread. So keep your eyes peeled!!

I love chips too but if you get the Light brand I'm not sure if it's Ruffles or Lays but they are fat free with 75 calories per serving :) And your sister is right you do have this :)

NewLeaf, there is definitely a difference!!! You're doing great! Keep it up :D AND DOOO TRY THE ARTICHOKES - very close to sex!!!LOL In the off season when I cant get my hands on the fresh ones, I use the canned, NOT MARINATED, artichoke hearts to cook with. Personally, I think marinating artichokes is like swearing your mother - YOU JUST DON'T DO IT! LOL Have a great day :D

Artichokes- man, I never realized they'd become such a hot topic! LOL! I just get mine fresh in the produce department. Do you know what they look like?

NewLeaf,
You are doing such a great job! I also posted in your picture thread, in case you didn't see that yet.

Man, what's that going to say about my sex life for those of you who decide they're not that good. :( ;)

Haha Paula you started it girl.. its not even the artichokes that I think caught people's eyes but the sex commentary.. like Hypo said. hehe!! :) After seeing Josh.. I have no doubts about your sex life. LOL!!! :D

I know what artichokes look like.. at least I sure thought I did. But I was in a hurry when I scurried through the produce aisle at 7am this morning. :D Didn't spot any! :) Alas.. I will look again tonight!

Hypo: Thank you!! I did see your post, all the support is so appreciated!! :)

Thanks NewLeaf. ;)
If you don't see them tonight, maybe you could ask someone if they have them. If not, I'll send ya some! LOL! :D

LMAO! I started laughing so much when I saw this that my hubby is looking at me as if I've lost my mind! (Little does he know, but I think I lost it a very long time ago! ) Anyway, thanks. I needed that laugh.

Hmmmm.... I think I will try to get him to pick up some artichokes when he goes to the store later.....;)

My Biggest Loser DVD review!

Biggest Loser DVD

Ok, so here is my thoughts on the DVD. First of all it arrived yesterday afternoon. I only did the warm up and work out routine and cool down. The easy version of this.

I felt personally that it was nicely put together for the most part. The moves were not too complicated, nor over done. They give you options of lowering your heart rate a little if you are too tired or don't feel you can do the pumped up version of the movements.

The negative:
Sometimes the commentary was slightly distracting. Also, it really kicked my arse! He really pushes you at some things, so if you are a new person to exercising or doing a lot of cardio, esp. lower body, you should def. take it easy and do the "easy version" of the moves that seem to wear on you.

The positive: It was great to see the biggest loser characters doing the exercises with the trainer! I loved seeing that THEY got tired too, or started to lose their balance on certain moves here and there. It made it feel more human and real. I could relate to that at times! I also liked that it kicked my butt. I was sweating up a storm, and I'm former aerobics-nut, and I def. found this fun and keeping my heart rate going!

I would recommend it. I'm excited to see what the harder level is like. I'm not sure I will do it tonight, as my legs were REALLY tired from holding some of those squats and lunges. But we'll see. Obviously I need it!! :)

Hey you made your exercise goal of nine hours! Great job! You are really doing so awesome! Talk to ya in the morning. :)

Thanks Paula!! :) Still plugging away here.. made it into the gym this morning too. Boy am I getting a bit sore! :) Still keeping at it!

Todays Thoughts:
Ok, so my legs are screaming at me this morning thanks to the Biggest Loser DVD of last night. I was going to try and do the "sculpt" portion of it today but I just can't put my legs through that! I barely made it through my morning routine of lower-body weight lifting. And my legs are the strongest part on me!!

Inspiration for the Day:

In the mornings on my drive to work, I've noticed a woman, who diligently walks her drive way for exercise. She lives off a busy road so walking on it would not really be the safest option. So instead she puts on warm clothes, a hat, gloves, some head phones, and trudges to the end of her drive way and back to her house and repeats this walk. I've seen her almost every morning this week. All I can think of is, I have no excuse. Look at this woman, perhaps she has no work out equipment, no gym membership, no safe place to walk a long distance, so she does what she can with what she has. How inspiring is that? So I definitely think.. I have no excuse when I see her. And this keeps me motivated and inspired to trudge along myself. No matter how sore or how tired I might get. Because if she can get up at 7am and do this in the freezing cold. I can too!
