A new beginning...

Paula, yep, I hope to get them in today!! ;) Problem is, at som epoint we are supposed to get a TON of rain, and this afternoon headed to the in-laws house. The gym doesn't open until noon, and we're leaving right about then! aaack!! :) Wish me luck you guys! Seems like it will be videos in doors today!

Sisterly Week Challenge!

For those that haven't read in my diary yet, I am starting a week challenge with my older sister, of eating 1200 calories per week and doing two work-outs a day. Ideally she just wants to see if we push ourselves really hard, how much could we actually lose in one week. Its more of an experiment. I figure I can't GAIN any by doing this, so its worth the try! :D We've agreed to email eachother our food and exercise journals.

Breakfast: 2 cups of cereal,240 calories
Water:48oz so far! Chugging it in before I head to the in-laws !
Exercise:2 mile walk with my dog. Work out # 1
Lunch:1/2 cup of white rice and steamed veggies and cup of popcorn 105 calories
Dinner:barbecue beef sandwich,1/2 cup of coleslaw, 1 cup of baked beans 700 calories
Dessert:popcorn & one cookie 130 calories
Total Calories:1175
Exercise:stair running 10 sets

dont u hate it when circumstances circumvent all our hard efforts? sounds like u and dogs had a great walk! albeit, a muddy one :D

hey, i reeally like your challenge with your sister. Im going to see if my own sister would like to do it too. I dunno though. She gets so busy with her kids that Im not sure she will...but Ill call her and see. I wish she lived closer, I really do.:(
 
Good morning Dana! I'll take rain over this sh** we have any day! LOL! ;) We have gotten a ton of snow the past couple of days and I totally dread heading out to shovel today... I usually don't mind shoveling, it's good exercise but enough is enough! :mad:
Anyway, good luck on the challenge; I know you can do it and I'll check back in on ya later. :D
 
HOTDAMM!!! my sister said she WILL do a week challenge with me! I told her I betcha she can lose 3 pounds with walking with me (long distance) everyday, and promised her Id call every morning to make sure she got her a walk in! Thanks so much for the great idea!! Im stoked!!
 
Paula, sorry about all the snow!!! We hardly seen any bit of a winter here. Granted we've still fot all of Feb & March.. I should shut my trap before I jinx us! :p

Kate, that's awesome, congrats on your sister doing your challenge. Sounds like it will really keep you motivated, but also will be great for her health too!! Way to go!

I'm still truckin..spoke to my sister once today and she's getting in a 3.5 mile walk around the lake herself with a friend. Woohoo!!

Day 2 of Challenge:
Breakfast:2 cups of cereal 240 calories
Water:84oz. so far
Mid-Morning Snack: 1/4 cup of trail mix 150 calories
Lunch: 1/2 cup of baked beans, 1/2 cup of cole slaw, 250 calories(estimated)
Exercise #1:55 minutes of walking!!
Mid-Afternoon Snack: Special K bar w/ chocolate drizzle 90 calories
Dinner: 1/4 cup of baked beans, 1/2 cup of cole slaw, 1 cup of barbecue 400 calories
Exercise:30 minutes on the bike,30 minutes treadmill & 25 minutes of upper body weights
Dessert:1 cup of cereal 120 calories

My little frustration vent: Ok, so my TOM started awhile back, and its all out of wack,and STILL going. :confused: I am SO pissed right now about that. I have been absolutely exhausted, so somehow in my sleep I turned off the 5:15 alarm, to wake up to the 6:25alarm.:eek: NO gym time this morning! UGH, how wrong can that be? So much for kicking some butt this morning. Sof or my first work out I intend on trying to get a 2-3 mile walk in on my lunch break. Just so frustrated about over sleeping! :mad:

Oh well. I have great intentions with my food and water intake today. I also am more than determined to replace my cleaning staff at our office, as they have left me yet another inappropriate note. I also WILL get our new copier ordered today!! :eek: So somethings will get done. :) Wish me luck girls.. lots of luck. ;)

First of all ... it's ok about the alarm clock! I mean, it happens ... you are still going to get your walk in. I know how you eel though .. it feels like the whole day is off to a bad start BUT what you can do it do great with your food and water and your walk .. you will do great :)

Hey ya, NewLeaf :) Don't sweat the alarm thing - I agree w/ Emma :) It happens, though we would rather it didnt. Make your awesome intentions a reality (including the cleaners and copier LOL) and have a great day :D Good luck is headed your way - I can FEEL it! LOL Don't let a slow start ruin your day;)

i slept in too, which ONCE AGAIN screws up my day as well. Probably wont get my walk in till much later than i wanted...but look at u! you are sticking in there that you are walking at lunch! well, thats the ticket!
 
I am glad I"m not alone in my sleeping in mishap. I'm pretty urked at myself, but I was pretty exhausted all day yesterday!

So my news, is that I JUST ordered the Biggest Loser DVD off Amazon. So now if I don't hit the gym I've really got NO excuse not to try the video ! :) My sister said it is pretty tough, so wish me luck. I should get it I think Wednesday. I'm really excited to try it out. :)
 
I'm so curious to hear how the video goes for you. Keep us posted. I see your ticker went down some....congrats!!!! And, as everyone else has said, you are doing great, a little extra sleep was probably much needed!
 
definitely let us all know how that BL DVD goes. Im curious too. Before long, im going to have to probably add something new to my regimen. and I will NOT be very enthusiastic about THAT!

Thanks again for the sis idea. Its a great one, and I really hope SHE loses more than I do, because her getting under the 200 mark(she only needs to lose 3) will really be the kick in da butt she needs to psyche herself up to keep going.
 
Don't worry about the sleeping in... I did it too! And at least you got your morning workout done this afternoon... I have yet to get off my fat a** and do something! I am SLACKING! S-L-A-C-K-I-N-G!!!
What's up with the cleaning crew? You haven't told me anything about that! :confused:

Thanks Paula! :) Well I also got to the gym tonight too! So I am feeling redeemed after my sleeping in mishap. :D Hope you got off yer bum to exercise!

OMG I will fill you in tomorrow about the cleaning crew.. UGH, they drive me batty. I guess it sbecause I am such a snob!! :) Got my new copier ordered and its coming Wednesday. Better yet my new furniture is getting delivered tomorrow!!! WOOHOO!!!

I'm up!! I'm over it!!!
