A new beginning...

Yep mentality is at LEAST 80% of it for me. :) Like.. I should never eat 4 pieces of pizza.. :) two will do just fine!! heh. :) Anyhow! Thank you for all the support. You guys have been great!!

My only gripe for today:
Thanks to my routine filled dogs who are getting up with me at 5:15am every morning, they decided I must need to do it on Saturday too!!! Uhm. Nope, the gym doesn't even open until 8am! Anyhow, they had me up at 4:50am this morning. Luckily they did let me sleep on the couch until 6am and woke me only once and I fell back asleep until 7. Phew! :) At least I got a couple more hours in! I promised them a trip to the dog park, but unfortunately its raining here. So the biggun and I took a 30 minute walk out in the rain. We were a little wet, but felt much better afterwards! :)

I have a cat that will sit on me and meow at me if I am not up early enough on the weekends. Its actually my daughter's cat, but she knows who really feeds her most of the time. Fortunately the cat is a bit more patient and doesnt start meowing until 8:00. I had always thought it would be my kids that would get me up on the weekends. Nope. They sleep in. Just the cat. :)

Trade ya, guys! :D We have a st. bernard/ akita that doesn't bark to get you up. Nope. He jumps on the water bed and he is so big that when he does, he ejects ME off the other side!!! The dumb oaf!!! He wont' eject hubby b/c he can't jump on the bed from my side, the tubby thing!! LOL Have you ever seen pigs fly?! Well, consider yourself lucky - this piggy flys into the wall and it ain't pretty!!! LOL hhehehheee

Hope all is well in wet-dom, NewLeaf!!!! :D

lol at the pet stories - esp yours, bizeb :D

i have a cat who is supposed to be fed by my son. nope. i do it of course. now apparently cats sleep 20 hours a day (!), my cat chooses the early hours of the morning to be awake and want company. he will often bite my feet to wake me up at 4am so we can hang out. it drives me bonkers!

yay to you newleaf for going for a walk in the rain! i like the rain - it kind of feels like you're a kid again :)

I love pet stories! We have two dogs and a cat who keep us entertained especially when the situations involve both kids and pets.

How do you walk in the rain? I'm a big wimp! I must admit.

Hahha! Thank you for all the additional laughs with your own pet stories. :) Our boys really are "our kids" I will def. have to upload a few photos in a bit to show you them. (The Avatar is my smallest one, 8lb miniature dauschund, Rudy). They do provide quite a bit of entertainment for us. Particularly at our dog park, when the 46lb hound mix is rough housing with all the other "big dogs" at the park (aka, the giant 95lb dogs!) Rudy (8 pounder!) decides he's going to protect his pal.. Its quite hilarous.. he thinks he's much larger than he is!! :)

I wish I had a pet of my own so I could tell stories! Well, I guess I do... my fish, Captain, is the stupidest fish I have ever seen. I had to take a couple plants out from his tank because he kept getting stuck UNDER them! Then once I did take them out, now he just randomly rams into the walls of his tank! Just every now and again I'll hear a 'bonk' and look over and find him kind of dazed by the wall, lol. Good thing he's cute ;)

FH Josh has the cutest little mini schnauzer named Sophie though... if he doesn't make his bed, she'll jump up and burrow under them and make a bed for herself under them :D He has the cutest picture of her somewhere, I should see if I can find it!

Aww wBeagle the fish sounds hilarous!! :)

So does Josh's dog! :) One of our dogs is whining at me right now. He's not allowed on the new furniture.. what can I say.. he's traumatized!! :) He weighs 46lbs, and he thinks he's a lap dog. He really wants to be on our new furniture in our laps snuggled up. Its sweet and endearing, but he's too large and heavy!!! Alas..

lol, your dog sounds like one of my friends' dogs. He's a mix of some sort, at least partly the same breed as 'Lassie', though I can't remember what they're called. Anyways, he's always been the 'puppy' at their house, even though he must be at least 75lbs! He's a big ol' thing but so sweet :p

Looks like your food was good for the day, a turkey sandwich definitely sounds delicious! I should have had one ;) After I get at least some of my paper done, I'm logging back on to Y!, I hope you haven't gone to bed!

Hey Beagle, thank about the food! :) I wasn't stickin too close to 1200, but as I was tired of the strictness last week. And today is my cheat day!! lol, but I am still going to post my food here, just to kepe me on track some what! :)

Sorry I missed ya last night on Y, I was exhausted and hit the sack at 11pm! Staying up past 10pm for me is a big deal. lol! :D

Hello again NewLeaf :) Just peekin' in on ya .... and found you are doing great :D Good thing to! hehehehehe Hope you have a great day :D

Sunday, February 5, 2006 (FOOTBALL MANIA!! GO STEELERS!!)
Breakfast: 3 buttermilk pancakes 300 calories
Snack:big handful of carmel/chocolate chips  150 calories
Water:20oz
Lunch:left over 1/2 sandwich & chips 400 calories
Exercise: walked dogs for 20 minutes on the nice and muddy trails!
Dinner:2 large slices of "veggie" pizza. (so yummy!) & various munching on ritz crackers in crab dip or spinach artichoke dip. (oy calories!)
Dessert: 2 cookie bars..

Bad Note: too much regular soda. :(

Hmm, today is my day off of exercise and cheat day with food! YAY! :) However my intentions are to post my food here regardless of it being a cheat day. I think this will help keep me oin track. Because when I go off my strict "1200" calorie diet after I reach my goal weight, I don't want to be going batty with things, I have to learn control beyond this effort to lose weight and learn to maintain. :) So I hope to keep posting here too. Obviously i have a little while yet until I reach that goal, but I feel really positive about it. And learning new things about my eating habits each and every day! :)

hehe im enjoying all the pet stories...on the fish..they say a fish just has really bad memory...each time they come back around the bend of the aquarium, they are like ' hey this is new!" and again another lap..."hey, this is new"...ad nauseum. :p

uhoh....even tho im not that big of a football fan anymore these days...Steelers are kind of the Cowboys old nemesis, so I have to go for the underdogs today...its a silly old texas rival thing...:D

Dana, keep posting today on the foods for sure, because those cheat days can really add up as Im sure you already know! mine sure do. I felt like I ate like a pig last night, but it turns out i just ate a little alllll day long and it sure seeeemed like a pigout! If I hadnt written things down, Id have felt guilty alll day. Enjoy your day you deserve it!!

Kate.. good point about the cowboy vs. steelers.. and I am a cowboy fan!! But FH has some hook on Steelers, so I'm just going along with rootin for them today. lol.. really I watch for the commericals!!! Hehe!

Yep. I'll def. keep the food posted!!! :) Thanks.. certainly want to keep the scale moving this week, so I do not want to over do today!

My children..

Oh just for sh*ts and giggles, here are my boys!! :) Winston is the larger dog, our beagle/hound mix and Rudy is our miniature dauschund, the older dog ;) Enjoy.. :D

Woo, check out that skinnier than before, cute butt! lol.

Your dogs are so cute, Dana! I love the one with Rudy flopped all over the floor :D

Don't cheat too hard today, but don't forget to enjoy the little bit of freedom either, eh? Caramel/chocolate chips sound absolutely delicious though... stop tempting me! ;)
