A hillbilly diary

Well I'm at it again. I started at 425 pounds and got down to about 348 then the weight loss stopped. It's my own fault; I didn't work out enough. So the family saw the trouble I was having and got me a gym membership at one of those all night places. Most of my workouts will be late at night early morning. I'm planning on working out between 1-3 am. After my endurance picks up I might be able to stay a little longer. The hard part is just getting started. I just don't have the drive just to get it started. My plan is mostly cardio with some light weights. I'll also do some swimming for some fairly low impact cardio. well it's all in the planning stages. Now all I got to do is get my big butt moving.......

Breakfast: egg roll up; two eggs, sour cream, salsa, 1 sheet of lavash bread. [140+40+15+100]

well today was a pretty good day. I didn't quite hit 2000 calories but it's pretty good. I'm going to the gym about 2 am and if I'm hungry after that I might get through a few apples......... Gaining weight must be easier than losing.............
 
Well went to the gym last night and starting to feel better. I'm sore from the cardio stuff. I haven't used those muscles in a long time. Today the family wants baby back ribs and they aren't know for being calorie friendly. I'll prob off set it with small calorie meals before and after since I don't want to undo any progress I have made.
 
Ok first of all I dont know if its a typo but you say ur 348 lbs but you are eating around 1500 calories a day.
Thats insane im 160 and i would do if I ate 1500 a day. I think you should be higher because you need energy to do the excercises. And if you really want good gains, try squats, dead lifts, heavy core lifts. You will see beter gains.

yea it's really not enough but the only way to get that many calories in is to carb out and I'm not going there. I'm trying my best to stay away from sugars and the things that convert to sugar. as far as eating lean meats to get my calories up I would have to float a loan to be able to afford it. I'm going to have some barbecue tonight and that will help with the last few days of really low calories. My endurance is really low and I have only been burning of about 600 or so calories at the gym. I could eat 2500 calories a day and still lose weight so I'll have to try and increase it some since I am working a small amount off.
 
Well I cooked barbecue as I was ordered by the family. It really sucks to be the chef of the family and be on a diet. well my calories have been low the last few days and I'll be going to the gym tonight. Hey an hour at the gym should burn off at least on rib lol......

Lunch: I didn’t wake up till 11:00 or so….. so breakfast and lunch were the same meal.

Dinner: 6 barbecue baby back ribs{just 6 ribs not 6 slabs}, potato salad, baked beans, a few pieces of sliced barbecue sausage.

Snack: I’ll have an apple if I’m hungry after the gym.

Well I was going to the gym but my groin muscle feels like it's about to rip. Payback for no bike riding for 20 years. It's weird but since I finally got my butt to the gym I almost feel guilty for missing a day.
 
Well my calories as of yesterday was only about 1400 calories. I'm gonna have to bring my calories up. I'll work on it in the next few days. other than that I'm still sore from the gym but thats to be expected.
 
good luck man...you should try and drop the cokes though

yea it's a crutch. I have been hooked on caffeine for a long time. The only draw back to the cokes I can see is they are loaded with salt. The caffeine itself I don't think is too bad but I could be wrong............

There were way better choices on the Applebee's menu but it's what I wanted at the time and since my calories have been so low the last few days I didn't think it would hurt much.

Well my calories were way low so I made me a plate with a banana, raisins and a few tablespoons of peanut butter. I didn't stop to count the calories but I was so low it wasn't a huge issue. I'm trying to creep my calories up to closer to 1800 or so.....

Note: way too low but just haven’t been that hungry. Think my stomach is starting to shrink back to a human size. I have been taking my GNC multi-vitamins so I haven’t been feeling that bad.
 
ok I am having trouble getting my calories up closer to the 2000 range so whats a good calorie booster that is still healthyish...... nuts? grains?
