WOW!!!!

Look at you!!! :coolgleamA::party:

Congratulations on the 11 pounds. Great job. Also wonderful on your cholesterol. Good for you on staying away from the sugar. I drink Diet Coke and use Splenda. Sugar has never been my issue. My problem was tacos, pizza, chips, dip and cheese. Stuff like that. I guess we all have our weaknesses. Wouldn't be life otherwise I suppose.

My only problem is when I use the diet cokes it just makes me eventually want a real coke. Since I have off of cokes my blood pressure has dropped. It's either the salt or the angioplasty. I think they are both having a lot to do with it. I have also switched to the light salt which took some getting used to. The weight I lost before I just cut my calories back some and sometimes it would come off and other times... not. So far everything is going well with the soups so I'm gonna keep it up for awhile.

Yup I'm a sugar :reddevil: junkie.... thats a no-no food lol.

I haven't had a real Coke in so long I would go into a sugar coma if I had one. A couple of years ago we drove through someplace. They mislabeled the drinks. Well my husband's was a regular Dr Pepper. I took a big drink and almost lost it right there on the spot! :ack2:

I used to think I couldn't drink diet or use artificial sweetener. I'm not quite sure what happened. We used to go through a case of regular soda in 2-3 days. I didn't drink it for 3 years. I drank iced tea straight. Hey, it puts hair on your chest!! :smilielol5: When I did start drinking soda I went with diet. I found it had no after taste. So it was all good. It is probably better not to drink it. But I really like it. I don't drink coffee and I like the bubbles. :coolgleamA: Honey is much better because it is all natural. I was borderline diabetic. Since losing weight my blood sugar is in total control. I think I will just stick with what I know works for me and what I can live with.

I know it's hell to give certain things up. I'm with ya on that one. :smash:

Keep up the good work.

yea I drink my tea straight now. I just don't make it nearly as strong now lol. I use the honey when I do want to sweeten something. Around here they sell alot of raw honey from the honey farms and It seems to have a much stronger taste. with the stronger honey I tend to not use as much. I wouldn't even mind using real sugar or brown sugar in oatmeal but I'm giving it a little more time. I'm mostly just trying to stay away from the supper dooper concentrated syrups that are in cokes and such. I'm not drinking cokes mainly because it's my biggest weakness. It would get to be that if you saw me I had a coke in my hand or at least close by lol. I guess it's one of those things I tend to overindulge in.

Good for you with the sugar subs. I think that regular pop tastes weird now, but I don't drink a whole lot of pop. Pretty much every other food out there is my weakness...ice cream, pasta, bacon, fries...the usual suspects!

When I was little;younger I mean. My dad would bring me a coke and candy bar everyday after work. I think thats what kicked off my like for sugar and cokes. It just got to where I was drinking more and more sodas. so it's just something about sodas that really hooks me in.

See, foods like those I can take or leave. I'd be just as happy with salads or sandwiches. The sugar is my problem. well honestly....... I don't mind a huge bowl of pasta lol.

We all have our foodie demons I suppose.... :reddevil:

Well today has been bad food wise. It's not I had too much or the wrong things I just haven't had any yet. I'm making chicken and rice for dinner and I nit picked at a few pieces of chicken as I de-boned it.

Woke up at about 1:30pm, took my son to the doctor, bought groceries and went to the bank to pick up my part of all the paper work for my new boat....

Still thats no excuse for not eating. The trick will be not to eat too much at dinner. Anyway it's been a long exausting day..............

Food today......

Breakfast-0
Lunch- sugar free mocha latte
Dinner- chicken and rice
snack- oatmeal with raisins and some honey.

Drinks- water, coffee, tea, milk

Well another day gone........ eating got a little better. had another bowl of chicken and rice to bring up the calories just a bit. I weigh Saturday morning so lets hope I didn't bring them up too much. My pants are getting loose so I went to wally world and picked up one size smaller. They fit as long as I don't do anything stupid like breathe or anything crazy like that lol. It's only been a few pounds so I'm waiting patiently. Tomorrow will be better food wise...........

well I got on the scale a day early and it still says 375 so the 4 pounds I lost early in the week was probably it... :(.. But hey 11 pounds in two weeks is good. Well I went out and bough more cabbage yesterday and It ain't .25 a pound anymore....yikes. It still ain't bad considering a pot of soup last 2 days; if my father in law will stay out of it lol. Hey we like cabbage around here. Well I had a big breakfast so the rest of the meals today will be soup.

Lunch: soup; cabbage, onion, stewed tomatoes and a random spice blend out of the pantry.

Dinner: soup

Snack: soup

Treat: sugar free mocha latte

Drinks: water, tea, coffee, milk.

yea I will weigh again on Saturday. I had some regular food yesterday and last night so I don't even want to see the scale.

food yesterday....

I had a few samples of sugar glazed nuts at the boat show; probably about 5 pieces. a few sample pieces of beef jerky.

I had a salad buffet for dinner and the only bad thing was a quarter cup or so of chocolate pudding with some whip cream. I know bad bad bad.

I had the 1 chocolate filled donut I have been craving...... it wasn't as good as I was expecting........

I had one mocha latte.

This is the bad thing...... last night at about 230 am I went to the waffle house and had a double hash brown with everything and a waffle with syrup..... with two glasses of sweet tea.

All that time without sugar and I caved...ugggggg.
I didn't have much to drink other than a few glasses of water, glass of milk, the latte, and sweet tea........
with all that I still don't think I went over my maintenance calories but I'm really not happy with my self since they were all mostly empty calories.:cuss:

Okay Randy.......you had a slip up. You know the drill. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing a great job.

Isn't it amazing how after a few days the stuff you crave just doesn't taste that good? I don't know if it's psychological or not. I just know that when I cave into the crave I am always disapointed. Human nature being what it is I still do it. More than I would like. I am a work in progress.

Jump back into it and don't feel bad. A few off days here and there are part of the journey. :auto:

my bmr (Basal Metabolic Rate)is 3701 and I'm sure I didn't go over that.

HB... bugger that. Hell, it's like this... before getting back into the swing of watching your food/ exercising you could have been chugging down a lot more empty calories. So We slip here and there, but it's always nice waking up to a new day, you know? You're doing fine. Consider yesterday your "cheat day." Now back on track we go, darlin'. Also... drink more water! haha Wishing you a great week.
