a Hillbilly diary

Wow Randy - You've lost almost 80 pounds!!!
That is phenomenal :D

As for the new clothes, one look at your goal weight, and you KNOW you're going to have a variety of sizes in between!

Thanks all. It's odd, I have lost a little kid lol. I don't expect major problems till I get lower on the weight and it gets to where 2000 calories will be my maintenance calories. I think guys in general have big appetites and its going to be hard to that with only taking in 1500 calories or so. Now it's not so much a huge deal. I can have have sweets and such even though I shouldn't, It's just nice having that big of a cushion. I was looking and only about 27 pounds to my half way mark. can't wait, though a big Texas Thanksgiving and Christmas/Yule time will have some bad calorie effects lol...

Well today went pretty well other than no exercise except a few laps around the local mall. My lawn mower wouldn't start today, I think I wore it out lol. I'll have to say it didn't hurt my feelings much lol. Tomorrow if it wont start I think I'll get my mosquito spray and take a walk through the woods and maybe follow the pipeline for a few miles. It's strange I'll go from exercise to not then the little voice in my head says that we should walk or at least go to the mall or walmart and just walk. silly old voice but it's probably right in it's own little way.

Way to go on the weight loss!! WHOOHOOOO!!! I havent had a tall vanilla latte in a LONG TIME!!!... I want one bad!!... oh, or a vanilla frappe. Hhmmmm

Well today is going pretty well. I managed to get in several meals and even with a sweet snack I'm still under my calorie limit. I would like to get in a few hundred more but I really don't see being hungry after all of that. The fight always come at three or four in the morning before I go to bed. With this much food during the day I don't really expect that to happen.
You know it's funny I don't hardly eat salt anymore or at least not like I use to. Early in the week when I had that burger and tots from sonic I was expecting the great decadent meal and the first thing I noticed was the salt. It's not that I can't handle it but things just don't taste the same. About the only thing I crave salt on are melons which reminds me I need to go get one and put it in the ice box lol.

Wow the holidays are almost here.....

Wow the holidays are almost here. At our house it starts with Halloween and thats a huge bash all in itself. There is candy and cakes and muffins and all kinda fall type yummies. Not to mention the several bottles of mead that seem to disappear in a few short hours. Then It moves to Thanksgiving which has several more fall type foods and the normal yummies. Then Christmas/yule shows up and more of the same. And it's not just our house we come from a multi religion family and seems every house you go to is just a little different with more of the same foods. Why do I see a 50 pound backslide coming up??????

Oh yes...the holidays ARE going to be a challenge. So much of the entertaining revolves around food!

We'll get through it!

well last night was another bout of insomnia. I think I managed to doze off at about 8 this morning. I managed to get up about 12 pm and contemplating breakfast/brunch. I could probably get some sleeping pills but with the pain pills and soon to be blood pressure medicine. I don't think I need medicine on top of that. I haven't really thought about food for today so I'll probably just wing it. when I'm this tired I really can't get into being fancy in the kitchen. Think its gonna be one of those corn out of the can kinda days...

So sorry to hear about the insomnia, I know all too well the pain that lack of sleep causes. I hope it gets better for you soon. The honey chamomile tea really helped me ( I think I wrote lavendar chamomile tea before...that was a boo boo :p ). I might need to make a cup after a long bath tonight...it's starting to slowly creep back into my life, that darn insomia. :(

Randy,
I hope you're able to find a way to get some good rest soon - it's just so hard when you're not sleeping well to get into a good routine!
