So here's the deal: I've been getting good workouts but my eating has not been 100%. And I'm not sure it will be this week considering all the plans I have for myself. This is my last week before I start my new job where I'll be working Monday-Friday where I won't be able to go out at night during the week. Hopefully this is going to make it easier for me to stay healthy.

Yesterday was OK. I got a good workout at the gym:
- 45 minutes treadmill (10 min walking no incline / 10 min walking "random hill" setting level 5 / 10 min walking "random hill" setting level 7 / 10 min walking "random hill" setting level 5 / cool down)
- 20 minutes elliptical (highest incline, resistance @ 8)
- 3 way dumbbell raise (6x3)
- Biceps curls (10x3)
- Side bends w/12LB dumbbell (10x3)
- Bench press w/dumbbells (8x3)
- Hammer press (?) w/dumbbells (8x)
- Dumbbell flys (8x3)
- Abs: 40 regular crunches / 20 bicycle crunches / 40 crunches left side / 20 bicycle crunches / 40 crunches right side / 20 bicycle crunches / 40 crunches laying flat, feet out on the floor
- Stretch

So I had a great workout and a good day overall. But then I decided to go visit my friends downtown. On the way to my friend's house, I picked up a movie and stopped to get a chocolate malt :-/ I really didn't need it, I was just trying to kill time and I gave in. Then when I got down there, my friends ordered Dominos so I had a slice of pizza.

As I was saying before, I made plans this week to go out with friends before I have to start my new job and I won't be able to. Tuesday night I'm hanging out with my friend and we will be drinking. Wednesday I'm going up to see my friend that I haven't seen since January. She plays on a bar leauge softball team and she said I could play if I wanted! I'm sure we will go out to bars after that or do some drinking at least. These are my only plans to drink this week but obviously it cuts into the being healthy.

My goal is to just get a workout in everyday this week. I have plenty of time this week to go to the gym. As long as I keep this up and eat healthy as much as I can, I'll be happy.

I've got the day off so I'm just hanging out this morning.. I'll be going to the gym this afternoon then I have plans to go shopping with my friends!

Yesterday's workout: Awesome.
Yesterday's eating: Terrible.
Conclusion: Friend are a terrible influence when it comes to eating junk!
Solution: Hit the gym HARD today and no going out with friends!

Awesome workout yesterday Sarah! I'm sure the day was fun and worth it too - don't worry so much about the eating - as long as you have a couple great days you will still be doing good - burning all those extra calories in the gym! Your weekend looked fun too! I totally think as long as we are busting it out in the gym our eating can be a little off - once you have one or two perfect days in a row too your stomach will feel great again! Don't you wish there was always someone there to grab the cookies after you've had one or two and take them away so you can't continue eating them! I felt that way this weekend with that PB dessert - I just wished my hunnie would have taken the pan and thrown the rest out after we had finished half of it. I called his mom and told her next time to just cut us a couple squares instead of sending the whole pan home with him! She laughed and said "oh did you have some too" almost like she did it on purpose because she knows how hard I'm trying to get to my goal - I guess she can't be that evil. Anyway kick some butt in the gym today and watch those cals!!
 
Great Workout! Don't beat yourself up, sure you have a goal but you are only young once enjoye it; in moderation!!!!
 
Oh my... How can you do so many crunches?! I'm almost dying after 10 normal/10 bicycle/10 left/10 right/10 normal. Inspiring work out though!
 
Hey guys! Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. Here's the update:

Tuesday was fine. Yes Lisa, my mom DID make more cupcakes and I had two of them. Other than that I ate fine on Tuesday. I worked out really hard on the elliptical for 40 minutes.. I had the highest incline on and increased the resistance from 8-10. With a cool down I did 4.25 miles total. I didn't do arms because I have been doing strength a lot so I figured I would take off from that and just do my abs routine to finish up. I got home from the gym at 5:30PM and never ate because I was too busy getting ready to leave and go downtown to see my friends that I haven't seen in a long time! We drank a lot and stayed out late... I didn't even get to bed until 5AM. Woke up at 11AM... STILL didn't have anything to eat until about noon when I got home. I felt like CRAP! Yesterday was horrible :( Didn't make it to the gym. Had a big greasy cheeseburger and ice cream cone for dinner. The only good part of the day was laying out on the lake with my friends to catch a tan :)

I weighed myself this morning just to see if I've done any damage from the drinking/eating junk food but I was actually down this morning to 138.8 so if I just have a really good day today I'm thinking tomorrow's weigh in should go well! Just had an egg with cheese on an english muffin and I'm drinking a small coffee... I have the morning off so I'm going to get to the gym before work today and I can't wait! I'm supposed to be getting new running shoes in the mail soon so hopefully they get here quick because I'm itching to run but my old shoes are just shot!

 
Sounds like a fun time! Wow I can't believe you didn't eat the whole time you were out drinking! That is major dedication! Were there temptations too or were your friends being good? It's easier when it's not thrown in your face. I noticed you haven't been running as much and I see it's because you are expecting some new runners - what kind did you order? I really want to get an ipod so I could use my runners with that application to see how I'm doing.
That cheeseburger sounds amazing right now! Glad it didn't affect the scale and I bet your weigh-in tomorrow will be great! Have fun at the gym.

It was a LOT of fun! It was really random too, all of a sudden out of no where my friend who lives 2 hours away was like, "I'm on my way to the city, we're goin' out tonight!" We played pool and darts and took lots of shots :p We were going to get pizza or something but it just never happened because we were all just drunk and forgot about it lol. I'm supposed to be getting my shoes today, they are just Asics... the shoes I was running in were Ascis too but I bought a different style this time so hopefully they will be good for running!

I was NOT feelin' the gym today... AT all... I still think I'm feeling a little crappy from yesterday. Jeez! I did the elliptical on highest incline and resitance @ 8 for 10 minutes.. then I got on the treadmill and walked @ 4.0 mph for 10 minutes with incline for a while but it was hurting my lower back for some reason so I took the incline off.. then I got back on the elliptical and did 10 more minutes on highest incline and increased the resistance from 9 to 13. It was hard! After that I did a few arms exercises and my abs. I was SO happy to get outta there. Just didn't have it in me today to push myself!

Good morning, everyone!

Weigh in this morning was GREAT. I'm 137.6 which is a 2 pound loss from last week! YaYyyYyYy! :)

Hope I can do the same for next week... however next week is that time of the month for me so that might not happen. Anyway, I'm excited to see the scale moving down... I have to work all day and then I plan to go to the gym after. I wanted to work out this morning but A) I'm really tired B) I have a lot of running around to do before work C) I wouldn't have time for the gym, and I don't want to work out at home.

Well, that's all for now. The agenda for this weekend is work (today and tomorrow) and babysitting (tomorrow night).

Never made it to the gym Friday night. I got out of work early and decided to go out to dinner with some guy that I'm kinda liking right now :) I went to the movies afterwards with my friend and bought peanut m&m's... luckily I didn't eat the whole bag. I didn't even want them, I wasn't hungry, but I felt like I needed to get something!?

Saturday I came home from work and put on my new tennis shoes and went for a run outside! It was sooooo hot out. I did 3.5 miles in 32:37! When I was running this route before my half marathon it was taking me 35 minutes to complete so I was happy to see some improvement! I feel like the elliptical has been really helping out my legs and I even feel like they look a little slimmer! It was great to run but my legs are quite sore today since it's been about a week and a half since I've done so!

No workout today... I'm just very tired and I don't have time to make it to the gym because it closes early on Sunday's. I start my new job tomorrow and this week I will be working both my new job and my current job so I will be busy Monday-Saturday and I'll be working a total of 56 hours this week. Ohh boy. I will try to get gym time in the best I can!

Awesome weigh-in Sarah! Your doing great! Great work on the run too! Looks like it was a healthy weekend also - keep it up!! Remember to pack healthy lunches and snacks and you'll be good! Chat tomorrow!
 
Fantastic weekend. And great weigh-in. You are doing so well. Your workout sounds really good. I wish mine had variety as yours. Really need to find a good gym when I move to the city in a few months.

Thanks! I have to make this quick... ahh this week is going to be sooo busy!

I worked 8-7 yesterday then went to the gym after. Ran 2 miles and did 10 really hard mintues on the elliptical (set the resistance pretty high). Came home, ate a salad, had a piece of pineapple upside down cake, had a bowl of moose tracks ice cream. Great.

Woke up early this morning and went to the gym with my mom. Ran 1 mile and did 20 minutes elliptical. Abs after, wasn't feelin' it today. Just had an egg with cheese on an english muffin with some sliced strawberries. Gotta get ready for day #2 of working all day!

Eating was fine all day yesterday until I got home from work and was starving. I ate a bowl of spaghetti with sauce and italian sausages. After that I had a bowl of moose tracks ice cream :-/ and then my neighbor asked me to walk to the gas station with her because she wanted candy, so when we got there I bought a bag of peanut butter m&m's and ate them on the walk back home. At least I got a little exercise with the walking but really the m&m's just cancelled that out!

Woke up this morning with my period and I'm feeling really crampy and just.. blah. I don't feel "fat" though like I normally feel. I'm going to try to stay away from the desserts tonight because that has been my only problems this week with eating. Other than night time, I've been eating really good and less than usual during the day, no over eating or snacking. The cake is out of the house (thank god) now that ice cream just needs to go away!!!

So I love my new job... the kids are great, and I really enjoy it. It is very tiring though. Today we are going on a field trip to go bowling! After that, I'm going to hang out with the guy friend and if it's nice out we're going to have a picnic and play frisbee lol :) Hoping for the weather to get nicer because we've had terrible storms and even a tornado that caused a lot of damage.

I haven't been able to check up on everyone as much as I'd like... this week is just so busy! Lots going on but everything is good and I'm hanging in there. Check ya'll tomorrow!

Yay!!! Love that you love your new job! :D! It sounds like they have you doing all kinds of things to be so hungry!

You are one calorie burning machine!!! :beating:!!!! Hope you have fun with your guy friend. Sounds like it's going to be a good day. Way to get to the gym so early!

Woohoo! Oh well M&M's...but no "fat" feeling is better than ever!!! Keep it up!!
