I had to talk to myself in my head and say "we don't get to the finish line and stop.. that's when we give it even more than what we started with!!" and i even thought of what you said before to just think, "one more step!" i kept thinking "im this much closer, im this much closer" and it helped a lot!!! oh and of course i thought "alta ran DOUBLE THIS??!?! shiiiit this is NOTHIN! MOVE YOUR ASS SARAH!!" :smilielol5:

AWESOME DAY!

Breakfast: Egg, cheese, and tomato on whole wheat english muffin
Snacks: Smoothie (water, 1 small banana, 1 cup mixed berries)
Small coffee w/cream and sweetener
90 cal granola bar
Low fat cottage cheese
Lunch: Peanut butter sandwich
Almonds
Cherries
Snack: Celery w/ranch
Dinner: Oatmeal w/peanut butter and banana mixed all together
Snack: Low fat graham cracker
Workout: 3 mile run on track, 1.15 miles on elliptical w/resistance and incline, abs, stretch
Snack: Low fat graham cracker, almonds

I so did not plan to workout today but I got done with my work meeting at 7:15 and the gym doesn't close til 10 so I figured WHY NOT!!! I ate ONLY what I brought to work (minus the small coffee that I got)... I was so tempted to buy cheese pretzels out of the snack box but I grabbed a piece of gum instead and forgot about it. I was REALLY close to grabbing the last little piece of chocolate cake sitting on the countertop but I stopped myself from that too! I could have made something better for dinner but I was short on time and I was craving that peanut butter banana oatmeal so bad! I was DRIPPING sweat after my workout.. I had sweat on the back of my knees and in the crease of my arms by my elbows and my skin was soaking wet lol ew so it was GREAT! I'm really glad I went to the gym... Lisa I thought of you and it helped me get there!!!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the chiropractor, then I'm going out out on a boat on the lake with my friends (it's supposed to be 82 degrees and sunny!) then my roommate and i are going to our new house and decorating a bit :D

OH and I got to see the pics that were taken of me from the half marathon when I crossed the finish! They are watermarked because they want you to buy the pictures but I just copied it and saved it to my computer. Pretty cool pic!!!

Ok this is a weird question and I meant to write it in my journal but forgot but do you ever get crotch sweat after a big workout? Yesterday I wanted to do weights after 45 min of cardio and looked down at my crotch and it looked like I peed my pants a little I had so much sweat down there, lol. OK it sounds so gross so I'm just wondering if this is just me and maybe because my undies were lace? I was too embarrased to do weights because I was afraid someone might notice and really think I peed myself, lol.
Oh and that pic of you finishing the race is amazing! You should get it blown up and hang it up for everyone to see! I hope they take one of me like that - what a great memory to have forever and to always remind yourself how far you can really push yourself if you try!

"sweaty-ass" = swass LOL I was wearing cotton capri pants the other day when I ran and did the elliptical and after that i actually looked at my butt and saw my pants were all wet.. how gross! i want to order that pic because it is soo cool and a great moment captured! i will have to check the prices.. here's too another great day!! :D

Ok so glad it's not just me. I wore more of a lycra pant last night and it wasn't as bad as the cotton ones - plus black makes it less obvious compared to my grey pants that I was wearing! It is gross though - I'm such a sweat machine when I have a good workout - some girls don't even have sweat on their back!

Okay guys - I think it's safe to say yesterday was another good day. Here is my eating:

Breakfast - Veggie patty, egg w/cheese, slice of toast
Snack - Almonds
Lunch - PB&J sandwich, low fat cottage cheese, orange
Snack (if you wanna call it that lol) - 2 ultra light beers out on the boat
Dinner - Huge grilled chicken caesar salad
Snack - Low fat granola bar, 2 light beers

No workout. BUT I did stop myself on the beers when I could've drank a lot more. I also passed up late night pizza! I just layed down and fell asleep and when I woke up it was all gone :) We went out for dinner after the boat ride (we were on the lake for about 2 hours.. it was soo nice and the weather was perfect!) and the restaraunt had sooo much to choose from. I was tempted to go with a panini and fries but I went with salad instead! It was pretty big but it was mostly the actual leaf lettuce.. it was the really dark green kind that is really leafy so despite the size I think it was still pretty healthy!

Now I have to get ready for work... I'm bringing my gym bag with me so I can hit up the gym when I get off :D

Awesome fun day Sarah!! You made really good choices when you had all that temptation in front of you! It could have been a lot worse and you still have to be able to go out and enjoy yourself - you just proved you can do it and still be healthy!! I'm so excited! This is going to be a great week! Thanks! Yes my day could have gone downhill as soon as I grabbed a beer on the boat but I kept thinking about you and how I didn't want to cheat on you! lol I keep thinking of you when I want to give into temptations and it's helping me stay strong! Thank you!!!

Haha thanks Alta! It was such a nice day but it was very windy and we kept hitting huge waves so my boobies were flyin' everywhere.. I must have looked fine as wine! lmao I really like that saying, treat yourself don't cheat yourself. So true!! I will always keep that in mind!

Okay so here is my day -

Breakfast - Oatmeal w/peanut butter and banana all mixed together
Snack - Almonds
Lunch - Turkey sandwich, low fat granola bar, cherries, string cheese
Snack - 16 oz coffee w/cream and splenda, orange
Dinner - Pot roast Smart Ones meal
Workout - 3.2 miles on elliptical with highest incline and resistance @ 8
Snacks - Few bites of low fat cottage cheese, 2 low fat graham crackers

*So I was only at the gym for like a half hour because when I got there I realized I forgot to pack socks.... AND I forgot a ponytail! So I had to wear my shoes without socks and leave my hair down. I was so sweaty after the elliptical my feet were like squeaking in my shoes lol and my hair was sticking to me so I decided to leave the gym. I wanted to continue my workout at home but by the time I got here, I was just tired. I've been tired all day though so at least I got SOME exercise!

I REALLY want to eat something else right now... I think I might grab a few grapes or strawberries I just want something soo bad! I don't really need anything though... maybe I should just go to bed!! I am waking up and going to the gym with my mom at 6AM so sleep would be a good idea...

Thanks!!! Weigh in wasn't great but I wasn't expecting it to be because I haven't been trying hard to lose weight.. just trying to get back in better shape but hopefully after these 10 days I will have something to show for!

Alright, so I went to bed last night WITHOUT a snack :D I just layed down and went to sleep. This morning I went to the gym with my mom... I ran 1 mile around the track and then I did 20 minutes on the elliptical with highest incline and resistance @ 8 again. I did a few arm exercises and abs to finish up.

For breakfast I had a veggie patty w/cheese on a whole wheat english muffin with a strawberry banana smoothie. The veggie patties (they are the Boca brand) are only 1 WW point. The flavor I have is bruschetta
tomato basil parmesan. They are pretty good!

Now I gotta get ready and go to the chiropractor and then I have the whooooole day off and I plan on doing N-O-T-H-I-N-G! lol Maybe some shopping with my mom but I really just want to lay around! It's supposed to be a rainy day anyway.

OH and I'm back to Friday weigh in's. This morning I was 139.6. I was hoping to weigh less but I'm okay with it because I know I'm getting back on track and I can get back to my maintenance weight soon. I'm wondering if it could be from salt since I ate a frozen dinner last night... when I got to the gym my stomach was SUPER bloated. Well anyway... I only have 4 pounds to lose so if I work hard the next 2 weeks I could lose it!

Here's to another good day and an even better weekend! I will be on my best behavior, I PROMISE! :cheers2:

It's supposed to rain here all weekend too and doing nothing sounds great! Great workout this morning and congrats on going to bed with no snacks!! I can tell your enthusiasm is back regarding shedding some pounds and I'm really glad because I need your positive posts to get me to my goal! I don't know why but whenever your doing good I feel more confident about me being good. It's like how you said you thought of the temptation and then you thought of me - I need to do that all weekend - you will be on my mind girl!! I really want to prove to you I can do it but I just feel so weak and tired today and that is never a good mix for healthy eating.
 
*Hoping* to be done eating today. I've had a terrible urge to eat crap today but I don't exactly know what KIND of crap I want to eat so I've been pretty snacky.

I could have done without the oatmeal between breakfast and dinner but like I said I've been craving to eat crappy and to me this tastes like a dessert! I could have done without the last fiber one bar but I wanted chocolate and it was chocolate chip! I'm very full so I hope that's where my eating ends. I plan to go to bed early tonight so I shouldn't be up late snacking!

Great job resisting the urge to junk food so well, Sarah!

I tend to go for the oatmeal when I'm craving as well- it tastes like a treat to me too, especially if I put sugar in it!

You are sooooo close to your goal!! Keep up the awesome work. :D
 
Good news: got up early and worked out making that 5 days in a row of exercise!
Bad news: stayed up late, had a little to drink and snacked a lot. Coworker baked me cookies and brought them to work today - I ate all 6 of them. I have a horrible stomach ache and I feel like complete crap. I'm so bloated, I can't even look at myself in the mirror right now.

I just want my stomach back pre-spring break! I feel like the weight I've gained back has gone all to my stomach and love handles, I hate it!

I'm SO looking forward to the gym tomorrow. And believe me when I say I am going to work my ass so hard, it'll be as if those cookies never existed!

I hate the weekends! Seriously! I lose all self control! >:-O
 
LIED: Did not work out 5 days in a row. But I DID workout 5 days this week! I plan to get back to at LEAST 6 days a week of working out!

Last night babysitting didn't go as planned. I ate mac and cheese with the girls for dinner and had dessert... twice! Blah. My stomach did NOT feel good and now I know why it's better to eat healthy!

Woke up feeling MUCH better today though. I am going to the gym soon and I can't wait! I really want to do some shopping but I think I'm going to save that for tomorrow. Not like I really NEED to go shopping but what's a girl to do when she has so much free time?! :)

Yesterday is history, I'm back on and I'm goin' STRONG this week!

Great attitude lady! Don't worry about the mac and cheese :p It's so yummy! Why do all the nicest things have to be bad for us? I'm still waiting for the "pizza and wine" diet to be invented. Have a good sunday and good luck for the week coming xx
